Many have asked about a craft room tour. I actually shot a video of my old craft room in my old house. And the video will be here soon! I promise. I haven’t had time to share it as it is a big project. But soon…

my favorite organizing item is to have every thing label, and a home for it. I have been using the fridge bins that you have shown and they work well.

  2. Anne says:

Shoe boxes are great for storing things in but the sad thing is that they aren’t new shoes for me….we have a 10 year old son…..needI say more?

  3. SJ says:

My favorite organization tool is the Avery Elle stamp pockets. They are a game changer. I just purchased MFT small pockets for my dies.
I purchased many of the products and tools you recommend and am *pretty* organized and can mostly find what I looking for. Thanks for the My Favorite Crafty Things as well as all your videos. Crafting is more fun when organized and I can find what I know I have.

  4. Sandra Meador says:

One of my favorite craft storage units is the shelving unit for ink pads from Stamp n Storage. I also have some magazine racks that I use for paper storage; the colors are easy to see and they serve as decor for the room.

  5. Laura Buehler says:

My favorite organization tool are some large plastic envelopes, similar to the vinyl mesh bags you show above, only mine are as nice as the mesh bags. I use them when I’m working on, or planning a project. I put all the items I think I might want into the bag to keep everything together. That way, if I get sidetracked on another project, I won’t forget my plan for the 1st project. (Not that I always stick to the original plans…things have a way of changing as I work on them. )

  6. BunnyD says:

My latest favourite since I’ve just started making cards is the plastic sleeves to keep my stamps in! The flimsy plastic packages they come in were falling apart on the few stamp sets I had. I’ve been stamp shopping like crazy lately with all the sales. I’m so glad I learned about them from you! Before that my favourite organization tool was the extra long file holders and hanging file folders I keep my 12 x 12 scrapbook paper in.

  7. Gloria P says:

I love that technology offers thousands of creafters the opportunity to share organizational tips like those you share. Thank you, Jennifer! A favorite storage item of mine are the Avery Elle stamp & die pockets. A second favorite would be using Evernote (basic free service) to document inventory of my stamps, dies, inks, markers, etc so I know exactly what I have so I don’t buy duplicates. Merry Christmas!

  8. SRJ says:

My most used storage item would be a set of small drawers (4 drawers in each). Each set is only 8.5″ x 5.5″ but the drawers are perfect for holding my tape runners, craft knife, bone folder etc.

  9. Lori Hable says:

Have never seen the job ticket holders before but I am going to check them out for sure! I also love the great box you are using for sequins (I’m thinking brads, eyelets, charms……. :D)

    Thank you!

  10. Ang says:

I don’t do a lot with organization yet, but hoping that will change soon. I do really like using pant (skirt) hangers to clip large storage baggies onto. I put stickers, embellishments…in them.

  11. shartl says:

My craft organization is pretty poor right now so I’m on the look out for new ways to store things. I have a large binder with most of my embellishments, and I store my stamps in several shoe boxes. My papers are in file cabinet drawers, but everything is in different rooms so it’s kind of crazy! Organizing videos are something I always welcome!

  12. I have a small armoir that is my main crafty space so my storage is limited and organization is key! Your stamp organization has revolutionized my space, thank you so much! I also use clear plastic drawers to store my inks in and I LOVE THEM, I have them sorted by brand and type so that I can just pull out a drawer and put it on my desk for when I am working on a project!

  13. Stephanie says:

My favorite organizational tool – is the stamp pad holders – love being able to see all my stamp pads at one glance
    Thank you for sharing yours

  14. Aggue says:

My fav organization items are my Ikea Raskog Utility Carts: versatile and portable~

  15. JulieC says:

I have many org tools that work for me. What works best when I get to where I can’t seem to find this or that is to stop and get everything back in it’s place. That always makes me feel soooo good!!

  16. Brianna P. says:

Waiting for this video! Jennifer, your organization tips are ingenious! Thank you so much for making bringing back the series this year- I know you’ve been busy with the move! My favourite tip is the paper storage video you made last year. So incredibly helpful!

  17. Bernice J says:

I love my interdesign containers. They are strong, durable and come in the sizes I need.

  18. Laure B says:

My favorite organizational tool – The clear stamp pockets by Avery Elle. I love having my stamps and dies together and sorted by company. Thanks for all your great ideas. It has made my craft room so much better.

  19. Linda D says:

Ink pad storage is my current fave – love being able to see and access all the colors quickly!

  20. Melissa says:

I took your recommendation from previous craft organization videos and got the Avery Elle Stamp storage pockets. They have been very helpful in keeping my stamps organized (in the interdesign containers) 🙂 Thank you for the tips! Look forward to seeing your new craft room!

  21. My favorite crafty tool is the fridge bins that I got after seeing them on your blog. I keep my stamps and dies in those. While they still aren’t organized in the best way, it’s been an easy way to pull out products I plan to use. The favorite product of new selections is Job Ticket Holders. I’m anxious to try those, not just for stamping but for the various volunteer activities. I’m been needing a way to get these separated and more easily available when I’m working on each one. Thanks for all your wonderful tips!

  22. Cynthia Bryden says:

Thank you for sharing your Favorites! I like to store things in drawer units that have wheels and a ‘flat surface’ on the top. They”re from the Elfa line at The Container Store. I use them in a few closets in our home, too. Merry Christmas!

  23. Candy says:

I am a big fan of the Interdesign containers. You convinced me I neded them and have been using for years

  24. Janelle H. says:

I found a 6 x 6 clear plastic cube on Amazon with a plastic X from corner to corner. (Sparco brand) Laid on it’s side I keep my Zig pens in it. I like your idea for the Job Ticket ‘pouches’….lots of uses in a papercrafting room!

  25. Cyndi Morris says:

I wish I could tell you my favorite organization method, but that would indicate I was organized. I suppose the most organized thing in my craft room would be the cabinet I use for dies. I place them on a magnetic sheet and insert them in a plastic sleeve, and store them in a drawer with dividers by category. When I set it up I thought I had all the dies I’d ever need (haha), but now I’m outgrowing it!

  26. Stacey says:

Great way to wrap up the series this year!! I am waiting (impatiently) for the craft room tour, so excited to here it is coming soon!!

  27. Lina Fo says:

I have a rotating clip order that I absolutely love. The fun in turning it is reminding me of all I have.

  28. Tammie J. says:

I bought several mesh bags after your series last year and love them! Now to get disciplined about emptying them when the project is done! Lol

  29. Mary Burr says:

For me the label maker and Avery Elle die holders are key!! All my stamps re organized and easy to reach 🙂

  30. CandyB. says:

My favorite organizational tool has been my rolling files, they are completely open, they fit the large 13 x 13 file folders you can purchase for scrapbook paper, and I am able to be very creative with my paper storage… I have files for travel, for school, for scouting, by color, etc. and I can roll them right up next to me as I decide which papers to use for my project. Some files hold an entire kit. I bought a desktop, small stand file holder that holds my sticker letters and other types of 3D stickers in smaller files. I want to add that I totally understand how much work is involved in your blog and putting these videos together and helping us out. Thank you so very much!

  31. Jane says:

Love this series. So helpful and filled with so many wonderful things!

  32. Chrissy Bornfleth says:

I am a little bit of an organization freak also. I would love to have a large craft room, but that isn’t going to happen. I do, however, have some great organizational tools that especially help when I need to move from one room to another or if I go to a friends house to play. I use iris carts to hold my paper and I use a container I’ve found in a hardware store to hold items such as brads and eyelets.

  33. Geri Clark says:

I have a Alex Drawer Unit that I like very much. Thank you for sharing yours.

  34. Jackie McKnite says:

Of course these are helpful. The more I get into this, the more I need to make smart purchases and your videos definitely help that.

  35. lori uren says:

I love the organization shelves for cardstock. That is so helpful in keeping all the colors separated .

  36. Katesnan says:

I love my Interdesign containers filled with the Avery Elle pockets of stamps and dies.
I refer to your favorite things videos constantly through the year, especially when we take a trip to the US where I usually find so many “goodies” that are not available in Canada. Thank you Jennifer.

  37. Karen P. says:

Im still working on my organization. Your videos have helped me a lot. Thank you so much!

  38. susan hatfield says:

I have so many favorite organization items I don’t know what to choose. My items are 90% left overs from some other use or just something I had on hand. I do have a paper rack from a store closing that I paid $40.00 bucks for that may be my favorite. Thanks for sharing your tools, tips, and thoughts!

  39. annie dill says:

Two sets of drawers on wheels have really helped organize my stuff. On a smaller scale, I like plastic pencil boxes for cube inks and pen/pencil sets, and Tim Holtz’s ink storage box.

  40. Cheryl I says:

I love the job ticket holder idea for paper that you’ve shown over the past couple years. I daydream about having a stamp storage rack, but until then, I’m just trying to keep my work surface picked up! Thanks for your wonderful videos. I can’t wait to see your craft room!

  41. Gilda (McStamper) says:

This is a great subject for me. I am such a disorganized person. I have lots of paper holders and they are full but the problem is the paper is not organized. I guess that would have to be my favorite, though. My New Year’s Resolution is always to get organized – maybe this year I really will! Thanks for your ideas and a chance to win. I am going to see what Organize More has and thanks for the discount.

  42. laura mm says:

Thanks for the video & giveaway! I’m currently loving my raskog cart, fridge bins, & boon organizer. 🙂

  43. Arlene D says:

My favorite organization tool for cardmaking is the cabinet binz (like the fridge binz you suggest) I buy at Bed, Bath & Beyond with a coupon to store my stamps, embossing folders, acrylic blocks, and 6×6 paper pads. I get the wider ones so my TH and Dylusions stamp sets fit in them

  44. Jessica Haines says:

I switch out my organizing all the time. Always trying to find the best solution.

  45. joy meadows says:

My favorite organization tool is labeling everything!! I recently moved, too, but my craft room is much smaller, so I have to combine a lot of things into drawer units. Maybe once I get it all sorted out I will remember where I decided to put things. Thanks for the video – can’t wait to see the craft room tour!

  46. Sharon Taylor says:

My favourite storage is the Tim Holtz tins. I love how they fit so snuggly and how you can see through the lids.

  47. smlittler says:

Looking forward to seeing your craft room tour! I really love the plastic organizers that I use for my distress inks. They are the perfect size and two of them hold every single color of distress inks plus a few extra foam pads. I’m definitely going to try those job ticket holders for storage soon.

  48. Linda Duensing says:

The Avery Elle Stamp pockets and the refrigerator bins to store them in. I saw this on your website and immediately started organizing my stamps. Thanks for sharing.

    Linda D.

  49. Evelyn B says:

Well, I missed the job ticket holders last year so am glad to see it on there this year and I’ll be ordering some for my studio. Also like the Boon Organizer for things that are used on every card. Thanks for your tips – I always find some things that are helpful to me!!

  50. Teri W says:

Heidi si the best. Thanks Heidi. Besides the fridge bins you promote Jennifer, I love my antique metal American Greeting Card storage unit. Hubby put a wood block on the top. I have my Big Shot on top, and the drawers have all my dies, stamps (in Jennifer recommended plastic sleeves), as well as embossing folders. Hubby showed me a pic from an online auction and asked if I was interested. Silly man ?. He is the best!
