Many have asked about a craft room tour. I actually shot a video of my old craft room in my old house. And the video will be here soon! I promise. I haven’t had time to share it as it is a big project. But soon…

I am always looking for new organizational items – and your inspiration motivates me often. My craftroom has a few IKEA drawers to make organization easy and pretty.

  2. Patty Eifert says:

I do love these video series because you have been doing card making for years & know the best products & how to store & use them! I could spend hundreds of dollars on products that might not work, and that makes me crazy, and I don’t have the time, so I thank you so much for that!! One of my favorite organization items were the Fridge Bins & Avery Elle bags to store my stamps in, which you introduced me to I believe on last years series. Before that they were laying in drawers, and I’d have to pull out most of them just to find the one I wanted! I am in the process of trying to organize my craft room better. I don’t really have any specific craft furniture..not in my budget, but I do have 3 or 4 large tables, and a large shelving unit. I still need to absolutely trim down the supplies I have that I’m not really using, but thought they would be great at the time!

I love the BTSKY pencil cases that are sold on amazon. I can color on the go with most of my pencils. Thanks for doing these videos, Jennifer! I always find them helpful!

  4. Barbara M. says:

I purchased a few fridge bins and plan on re-organizing my thin dies and stamp sets. So right now I would have to say those are my faves. Thanks for all the time and effort you put into doing these videos. They are so helpful and so much inspiration!

  5. Debbie Fricke says:

I’m slowly working on organization. After going through a divorce and moving out of a house where I had a whole room dedicated to crafting and could organize everything … it’s a different story now. For now I’m using the Iris cases to store papers and some tupperware containers for various things. I hope one day to be as organized as I used to be. You said it in one video … being organized really helps the creative energy to flow. I do have that plastic set of drawers on wheels and I find that very helpful. One item to pull out when I want to craft that has all the basics in it. Thanks for the suggestions.

  6. Majda says:

My cardmaking supplies aren’t organized at all… so thank you for your post Jennifer. So… I use a tea tin for my Copics (I haven’t that many of them, so one is enough but I plan to get more when my stash build up :).

  7. dancingcat says:

So far my favorite organization tool is the Linus Divided Turntable Clear (I got mine at the Container Store) I use them for my markers, copics, distress re-inkers, tape runners, anti-static powder, just about everything.

  8. Donna Billingsley says:

I love organization too. Does that make us a little OCD? LOL!! There’s nothing like having a room with everything in it’s place and there is a place for everything. Thanks for all the ideas and advice Jennifer.

  9. Ann Bedard says:

I like the magnetic sheets for putting dies on, then putting in clear envelopes and labeling.

  10. Evelyn says:

My favorite organization tool is an old Martha Stewart caddy/lazy Susan which holds scissors, quick pen etc. I keep it on my desktop.

  11. Martha R says:

I watched your organizational video last year and it helped me tremendously. I need to organize my ink pads. My stamps are organized in a plastic box so I like them there. Thanks so much for your ideas!

  12. Julie Brusman says:

I just got the cordless vacuum and absolutely love it. I am also waiting for my 31 organizer; that should be helpful for on-the-go crafting. Thank you for sharing so many helpful posts.

  13. Kathie B says:

I really like the Avery Elle (and other brands) clear plastic envelopes for my clear stamp sets. Things have really improved since I followed your example…

  14. Bertha says:

My crafting space could use some organizing. Thanks for the video and useful tips!
My favourite organization tool is a set of long thin rectangular boxes used to store drawer liners. They have clear acrylic fronts and I use them to store my washi tape.

  15. Anna Nencescue says:

Love the job ticket holders. those are such a good idea!

  16. SWRanches Donna says:

I use so many of your suggestions all over my craft room, and by far my favorite is to use the magnet sheets for keeping dies together and neat. Love your Favorite Crafty Things Series! I look forward to what new goodies you’ve discovered. Thank You!

  17. Joanne C. says:

My favorite organization tool is my Ikea four tier rolling cart. It allows me to store my most used crafting items like adhesives, heat gun, scissors, etc. in one place and roll it out to wherever I need it plus it’s a beautiful teal blue.

  18. I love this series and watch every year. . . well, at least for the last two years. My favorite organization tools are my IKEA and Michaels white rolling drawers. They fit nicely under my craft table but I can pull them out and use them for a crafting surface. I also love the job ticket holders. I use them to organize all my specialty items in one drawer. I put things like masking paper, foil papers, double-sided adhesive papers in them. That way I can keep scraps together of these different things.

  19. DMatthews says:

I like the label maker and use it all the time!

  20. valchic says:

My favorite organizational tool would have to be my Avery Elle pockets. I use them to keep all my stamp n dies together

  21. Kathiep says:

I too love organization. I look forward to your favorites series. Please keep them coming in the new year.

  22. Carolyn Carter says:

My favorite crafty thing is the Fridge Binz! I got them right after you first posted about them! The other favorite organizational find is the wooden wine racks…I use them to store all my Copics in! I have two on my desk and they hold every color in the Copics line and are in hands reach when I need them!

  23. Kristina Mullen says:

My favorite organizational thing are four plastic magazine holders that I keep all of my 8 1/2 x 11 paper in. This works wonderfully because I can see exactly what I have and they are easy to pull out. Thanks for the giveaway.

  24. Jeanne Christie says:

I find it easy to use the Darice embossing folder binder and the magnetic sheets to organize my dies. I also have paper organizers that I store my 12×12 paper by color.

  25. Carla says:

I love watching your videos and your organization ideas are so inspirational. My favorite organizer is my Tim Holtz stamp binders. I don’t use them for stamps but I buy magnetic sheets to put in them and use them to store all my thin dies. This makes them easy to flip through and also to take along when I’m crafting with friends.

  26. Lena says:

I love the stamp pockets from Avery Elle and Simon Says Stamp, and my binder with magnetic pages for my dies.

  27. Bunny says:

That label maker would be so nice. I love organization.

  28. Liz Mcallister says:

I don’t have a craft room, so I store my stamps in runnermaid bento boxes. Mthey fit three rows of stamps perfectly. And stack securely

  29. peddirt says:

I have two that I couldn’t live without. The first is using of school file folders for dividers. I have so many of these it was the perfect fix for dividers for me, but almost every organizational tool would be worthless if it weren’t for my label maker! Even if I should happen to not use someone’s organizational idea, it gets me thinking of ways I can do that with what I can see Dr or to meet my needs. This is one of my favorite Crafty Things! Thank you!

  30. Linda Partch says:

Love all your ideas for organization. Some work for me and some don’t due to lack of drawer space or something. I am curious as to what you do for storage of rubber stamps. I have many and store them in DVD type cases but hate that many do not cling well to the containers. I thought about the clear sleeves you use but then worry that the rubber cling stamps will just gather at the bottom of the sleeve and make for a thick mess. Do you use any wood mounted stamps and if so, how do you store them? My best organizational tool is my inventory binders (2). All my stamps are imaged in it and are organized by subject. It gives me an inventory number, subject matter, brand, and location in my room. It takes time but works great. When I want to choose a stamp, I leaf through my binder. When I want to choose a die, I leaf through another binder. I feel the time it takes to set up my inventory is less time than having to dig for product. Thanks for all you do to promote our craft!

  31. Tami B says:

Sometimes I do more organizing than I do crafting. I love drawers and I love labeling things.

  32. Beth Ross says:

Stamp pockets have changed my whole organization system in my craft room! Your suggestion years ago has kept my stamps and dies neatly organized, easy to find, and easy to put away. Thanks, Jennifer!

  33. diana says:

Thanks for putting these videos together!
My favourite organization tool is my label maker – I bought the one you recommend and haven’t stopped labelling since. 🙂

  34. Patt H. says:

Love your organization videos! I have picked up so many tips by watching them. I use the Avery Elle pockets a lot & also use a lot of SU small stamp storage boxes to keep stamp sets in. I have several tall DVD holders that I store these in alphabetically. I love the Job Ticket idea & will be ordering these soon.

  35. Vikki H says:

I’ve recently converted all my clear stamp sets/dies to the Avery Elle stamp pockets in the frig binz – great idea from you!

  36. Marcela I. Alvarez says:

I have really difficult time organizing my staff, since I like to do almost any kind of craft/art and whatever you can make with your own hands, I’m always searching and trying new things and most of all because I’m a keeper…. I keep whatever inspire me for a future use and off course I keep more than what I actually have time to do :p . Your tips are more than welcomed! Thank you very much

  37. Sally lett says:

The job ticket holder has streamlined my paper source, including my foil paper, vellum and origami paper. Kept losing track of where some of the paper was and what I needed to replace. Also easier to put colors together in card making. Sally

  38. Sherry W says:

The fridge binz has been perfect for my stamps and dies. Pockets for the stamps and magnetic sheets for the dies fit perfectly in the bins.

  39. Judy B says:

I really like the Tim Holtz containers for the mini ink cubes. You can load them with the colors you need for a particular project or just to keep them all contained. Thanks for sharing.

  40. LC says:

I love to see your wonderful ideas on organization! I’ve already implemented a few from last year’s list. My favorite organizational tool is my Artbin satchel. It fits my finished A2 sized cards perfectly and keeps them neatly organized. I especially like that it has a lid and a sturdy handle.

  41. karenladd says:

My favorite organization tool is my trusty clear plastic boxes with lids. I can see inside for quick retrieval, and they stack nicely on shelves. Thanks for the great series and introduction to new products

  42. Michelle says:

I have to say my number one favorite organizing tool is using the linus bins for storing my clear stamps. It has been awesome and saves so much space, but better than that is the ease in finding the stamps that you want to use. Life-changing! On my wish list would be the ink storage containers from Organize more. Thanks once again, Jennifer, for your awesome organization inspiration! Looking forward to seeing your new craft room 🙂

  43. Randee S says:

My favorite organizational tool is my stamp pad holder like yours. TFS

  44. Kathy H says:

My favorite is my Brother Labeler. I love organization and I am still looking for the right tools for many of my craft supplies.

  45. Donna Phelan says:

I don’t know if I have a favorite right now, I would LOVE to redo my craft room but that would take away from crafting so there’s that! I do love these sweet little plastic drawers I have, they’re by Sterlite, 3 drawers in each and they stack. They are only 7 inches deep and about 6.25 inches wide. They are perfect for holding my Copic Markers and stack neatly in a corner of my desk. I just grab the drawer I need, markers are sorted by color.

  46. Lisa Silver says:

I love finding vintage boxes, ceramic cups and other found objects to store my most-used items on my craft desk.

  47. Margaret Bridges says:

I love all the awesome tips and organizing information that you share. I have implemented a number of them in my own craft room. I particularly like using the Avery Elle pockets along with the Inter design containers to organize my stamps and dies. The other tool that is a great benefit to keep me from buying duplicates is cataloging all of my supplies and inks! I still have a ways to go but am slowly getting there. Thank you for sharing and I look forward to seeing your new room!

  48. Natalie Winterstein says:

My favorite organization “tool” in my craft room is a cubbie/wall shelf that I bought from a store closing a few years ago! I use it to hold most of my ink! My organization is a continued work in progress!!

  49. Theresa P says:

My favorite storage units have been finds at garage sales including a wood unit that holds my 8X11 CS which has 24 shelves. Thanks for all the information that you share.

  50. Judy M says:

My fave organizational tool from your video is the sequins container. I don’t have enough sequins to bother getting one, but it does look very useful. I personally have no favorite organizational item. I don’t think I own that much craft supplies to really bother, if I’m honest (and yet, I somehow manage to spend $$$!).
