Many have asked about a craft room tour. I actually shot a video of my old craft room in my old house. And the video will be here soon! I promise. I haven’t had time to share it as it is a big project. But soon…

I have no organizational skills and my craft room is a mess. Thanks so much for all of the ideas. I can only hope to be 1/10 as organized as you, but anything is better than what it is now! Thanks for all of your wonderful videos!

  2. Trudie says:

I love the Interdesign containers for stamps. It helps me stay more organized than I have ever been. Thank you so much for sharing all of your ideas and way to organize. It is so much nicer to walk into a clean workspace instead of a jumbled up mess.

I would have to say my favorite tools are my Brother labels makers! Yup! That is plural…I have 2 of them and I love them! I bought both because you enabled me twice :). I have lots of other favorite tools though and quite a few from watching your fabulous videos! Thanks for getting me into so much trouble! LOL! I enjoy every minute of it!
    Hugs Lori

  7. My favorite organization tools are my upcycled letter holder for my Copic markers and my DIY foam core ink pad holder! I live to reuse and upcycle!

  8. Jane McGill says:

I am still working on organizing my craft room. My favorite organizing thing is a set of drawers that my husband made for me. It was built to hold my punches and Tim Holtz bigz dies. Wishing you and your family a happy holiday season.

  9. Karen B. says:

I followed your storage system with my stamps – so I love the fridge bins!

  10. Deb L says:

My favorite tool is my tier swivel desk display. I picked it up at AC Moore years ago at a grand opening for 10.00.
It has three layers with 4 sections in each. I keep all the things I use frequently in it. It sits in the middle of my desk.

  11. Gabriella says:

So glad you did this particular post. I really love to organize stuff. Not just because it’s fun, but it keeps my stamps and dies fresh in my mind and I come up with new combinations. Have a great day

  12. Nancy Deffner says:

Thanks for the organizing tips. My favorite s are stamp envelopes and magnet sheets from Ellen Hudson.

  13. Teresa Doyle says:

I have used many of your suggestions Jennifer and found them very helpful. I label EVERYTHING including the baskets/bins, shelves, drawers, die sets, stamps, etc. as to what they hold. (I use a small Dymo label maker, it works great but I use it so much the ink is gone and I am not sure if I can buy just an ink refill.) However, without labeling I would find it hard at a glance, to find small, one off items as well like sequins, brads, etc. Very handy tool!
Thank You for doing these videos, they are VERY helpful!

  14. Kirsten B in MN says:

My favorite tool is my Brother label maker but I also love using Evernote – to keep track of all the things I label!
    Thanks for the great info!

  15. Kris Van Allen says:

I just love the ink pad organizers from Organize More! I discovered that the Mini Blending Tool fits exactly in the space for the re-inker, so now I can find just what I need so much more quickly!

  16. My favorite organization tool is my spinning caddy, I couldn’t live without this thing on my desk. Thanks! Always love this series!

  17. Angela says:

I use Sterlite desktop plastic storage containers that have 3 drawers each in them. They are perfect for storing twine, washi tape, embossing powder, Perfect Pearls, embossing paste, ink pads, ink refills, wooden stamps, and a whole lot more! They are sturdy and stack well. I also recommend stampnstorage.com for organization tools. I use their magnet sheets to hold my dies. I’d love to be able to invest in more of their products as well.

  18. Dana says:

Another great video full of useful tips and products! My favorite crafty tool was a little tag board caddy I picked up in the discount aisle of a big box crafting store. It holds all of my basics. I tend to put all supplies away after each card/project so I begin with a clean work area. This little desktop caddy makes that a breeze.

  19. Miriam Prantner says:

I love my fridge bins. Although most of my craft room is a disaster, at least the stamps are somewhat organized!

  20. Deepali Sehgal says:

My ikea raskog cart is extremely handy to organize bulk of my supplies. Another little item I found was this small inexpensive jewellery/ beads organizer box at Daiso (a Japanese dollar store equivalent) which I use for storing my distress minis- they fit perfectly in the squares! Thanks for sharing your favorites.

  21. Crystal Lybrink says:

Someday I will need to get the bead organizer for sequins. What I am using right now sucks. The lids come off really easily causing a huge mess.

  22. Isabelle says:

I confirm you : your videos are very, very, very useful ! Specially for people like me, more or less new to the card making world. There are so many products on the market, it’s difficult for me to make the right choice. I made very often the bad one before discovering your blog and I actually lost money ! My budget is limited, so avoiding errors is a great advantage, thanks to you !
I can imagine it takes a lot of time to film all these videos, time you will not spend with your family. So I thank you again for them, they are very much appreciated (and to their right “cost”) !
Merry Christmas to you all the one you love !

  23. Marcia Scantlin says:

I like to use the 12 x 12 Iris boxes to store themes, like Christmas

  24. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried the mesh bags ~ they have been an absolute lifesaver! I often have ‘downtime ‘ at work and I find myself reaching for my little bag of ‘to do’s and I get so much done on the go. I’ve implemented almost all of the organization ideas from last year over this year and have been much more productive. But I didn’t think I’d get as much use from the mesh bags as I have ~ they are wonderful!!
Thank you so much for having this series, it’s always a gamble when trying new products and I really appreciate that you share what works for you. The fact that you are not sponsored by any product line makes it really nice, I don’t worry that you are trying to ‘sell’ me on any particular brand ~ you share what works for you and that makes a wonderful difference!!
    Thank you!!!!
    Margo

  25. Jean Bullock says:

The most useful storage tool I have right now are clear plastic shoeboxes. I like that I can see through them.

  26. Debbie Meyer says:

Sequin storage. I have a ton of small embellishments

  27. SentSue says:

I love organization. Thank you for your video series. Excellent as always.

  28. Jessica S says:

I’ve been using the fridge binz ever since you first recommended them. They are just wonderful for organizing my craft studio. And the label maker you recommended has been a great oganizing tool. I really appreciate you sharing how to save tape on the label maker. Please continue to do these Favorite Crafty Things videos each year. They are always so helpful. I love seeing what your favorite products are. Thank you for all the work you put into keepimg us well informed.

  29. Diana Baker says:

I’m working out of our dining room. You have shown the fridge bins as storage, that is what I’m using right now.

  30. Woendi Levitt says:

Love all these!!! Being that Im OCD, being organized is a must. Also being that I travel for work and all my craft items are in a tote, I must be organized to access what I need in a quick minute.

  31. Shannon says:

My newest favorite organization tool is a 3-tier cart I bought at Target (akin to the popular Ikea Raskog). I put small bins on each level. I can pull it close to my worktable to select letter stickers, newest embellishment collections, and special tools as I’m working. Those job ticket holders look fabulous!

  32. leeanne says:

Love my Organizer More ink storage…I have one for Stampin Up and one for distress inks….but now with Altenew and pigment inks, I need another! Thanks for sharing the sequin storage unit. I am definitely looking into ordering one!

  33. Jane B says:

My favorite organization tool are Avery Elle storage pockets-Love being able to store my dies and stamps together so I can find them quickly! Thanks for the tips – you are my go-to you tube video!

  34. Tania K says:

I couldn’t live without my spinning caddy. Sits within reach on my desk and holds all of my most used tools!

  35. Sue C says:

Love this series please have it every year!! One give away you could do is where you come to MY house and organize MY craft room!! Lol

  36. Maureen Reiss says:

Great info!! My favorite is my Distress ink holder, its so easy to find the colors I need now and makes me use them more!! Thanks Jennifer!!

  37. 5911countess says:

The storage for dies, stamps and stencils using the InterDesign storage bins is ideal for me. Having a very large collection of all has (and will) get me organized and put the bins on a large book shelf unit. Using the Avery Elle plastic sleeves work well and can identify the manufacturer and other pertinent details. Thanks for helping me organize.

  38. Michele W says:

Thanks for another great video series! I find your “My Favorite Crafty Things” videos to be extremely useful. As for organizing, I am actually just in the process of trying to organize my crafting supplies. I don’t have a dedicated craft space and need to store craft supplies wherever I can find room but that still requires organization. 🙂 I’m currently in the process of downsizing my stamps and dies then I plan to try your system using storage bins. I’m hoping that having them organized into categories that I can easily flip through to find what I want will mean I will actually do more crafting. I have already been using the sequin storage you recommend here and absolutely love it.

  39. Nancy K. says:

The Boon organizer is my favorite! I have it in several places in my house. Please do a series like this next year! And thanks for doing it this year.

  40. Denise Bryant says:

I love the Interdesign containers! I have several of them and use them for dies and stamp sets! I buy the ones that fit into my Raskog cart from Ikea… another fave!

  41. Debbie Barba says:

One of my favorites it my swivel caddy that holds all my odds and ends tools in one place! I am fortunate enough to have the Alex drawers from IKEA and they hold so much, that some of them are practically empty, but probably not for long. Thank you so much for your videos Jennifer! I don’t know how you do it! They are so helpful and enable us to find some really great items for organizing! That sequin /bead holder is new to me today and I think it’s a must have. My collection of inks is growing so that Organize More holder is in my future.
I hope that you have a wonderful Christmas with your family and I hope they know how much you do for all of us! Merry Christmas!

  42. Geri S. says:

I love the new bead organizer you showed! It”s going on my wish list. I have been using the InterDesign bins for my stamp and die storage and love them but still have to get more! It’s going to take a long time to get all my stuff converted! can’t wait to see your new craft room – good luck!

  43. Mélanie L says:

Hi Jennifer! Organization is also my favorite topic! My best tool is my spinning caddy on my table from Michaels.

  44. Lea M. Callais says:

I absolutely adore these videos! Please continue to produce them each year! Your recommendations are amazing! I thank you!

    Lea

  45. Arianna Barbara says:

My favorite organization tools are my Ikea plastic storage containers. They’re so useful and big!

  46. Fran_S says:

I love your crafty things videos. You pack so much info in them, very helpful. Thanks so much

  47. Sharon Clabaugh says:

Love the Interdesign plastic storage containers for dies and stamps, of which are overflowing here and I’ve been using them for a while now after seeing your video on them. Great for making it easier to find what I’m looking for and great space savers.

  48. eliece2014 says:

I find Evernote very useful because it syncs to my phone which I always have with me when I’m shopping. I have listed which Copics I already own so I won’t duplicate one, and refills I need to buy. The same with my rubberstamps. I scanned them so I can actually see the stamp, not just its name and maker. Ditto for embossing folders. Another thing I really like is Crafters Companion storage racks for Spectrum Noir markers, which I also use to store my Copics. I love storing my clear stamps in a revolving CD rack, organized by themes. It holds a multitude of stamps in 120 clear cases. Because I mostly make cards, I cut 12×12 papers into 6×6 pieces and file them by colors in small milk crates I got at Dollar Tree. These are so much easier to handle when looking for the perfect papers for a particular card.

  49. Jan O says:

Love your video series, “My Favorite Crafty Things”! I’ve purchased the Fridge Bins, stamp storage envelopes and the Tim Holtz mini ink storage tins. Now the favourite thing on my list is a box of the job ticket holders.

  50. Melissa Friedrich says:

My favorite organization tool is my Organize More ink pad storage unit. I find myself using more color combos because I can see them all at once.
