Many have asked about a craft room tour. I actually shot a video of my old craft room in my old house. And the video will be here soon! I promise. I haven’t had time to share it as it is a big project. But soon…

My favorite organizational tool is my huge 5-drawer flat file that my oldest brother built for me years ago. I couldn’t do without it!

  3. Cyndie says:

My craft room is mostly chaos but I do have a sectional storage unit on my craft desk as well as stamp sets in wire baskets and that works pretty well for me!

  4. Jackie Parkins says:

I have adopted many of your storage and organizational ideas in my craft room and my favorite is the Fridge Binz for stamps and dies. I was able to find most of them at a discount at TJ Maxx, Marshall’s, or Home Goods, and I even have a couple of empty ones waiting on new crafty things to fill them. Thanks so much for all of your wonderful ideas, they help me keep order in my craft room.

  5. Doris Cote says:

always looking for ways to store and be more productive. Joanne’s Fabrics has the tiny sequin holder set in various sizes and you can use a coupon. Fire Mountain beading on line also carries all the parts to the series and they have varying price groups depending on how many items you buy. At 15 items, prices go down. Think flat back Swarovski or other beads.

  6. Sheri K says:

I have used the parts gear plastic storage cases for storing my distress inks, reinkers, and paints–love them for this! I have limited space–as my craft room also functions as my office for my medical business, my sewing and paper crafts/art room. I also love the ink tins for the smaller inks and the fridge bins for stamp and embossing folder storage. You have so many great ideas–I use the job tickets for keeping my card kits in order and all the pieces I need for each of my DT assignments. Thanks for all of the inspiration, can’t wait to see the new room complete–love your house photos!

  7. Glenda Lee Nutting says:

The storage pockets for stamps have saved my life! I love them.

  8. Becky Green says:

OH YES!!! I LOOOOOVE THIS SERIES!!!! KEEP DOING THESE!!! I use these series to find things I need! LOL I’ve bought SEVERAL things because of your recommendation! My hubby has even enjoyed some of the things too! LOL You’re JUST THE BEST when it comes to showing us these things, along with the actually making cards! THANKS JENNIFER!!! 😉

  9. Pernilla Zetterberg says:

One of my favorite organization tool for my craft room are vinyl storage pockets ment for old vinyl records. They fit perfectly for 12×12 papers and I can fit a lot of sheets in each pocket. I use them to store cardstock, patterend papers by manufacturer or papers from paperseries I like to keep together, or to store ongoing projects. I also love the Avery Elle storage pockets to store stamps, dies and sometimes embellishments like packs of diecuts or small parts of ongoing projects.

  10. I can’t wait to see your craft room tour coming up! I LOVEE YOUR CRAFT VIDEOS and ORGANIZATION TOO! I can’t seem to get enough of storage boxes/tools/pouches haha I think those (labeled with a label maker of course) are my favorite for organization. It makes me want to categorize everything and have neat homes for every thing in the room. thanks for your videos and have a merry Christmas! 😀

Thank you so much for going through so much to make this series. I always look forward to it and even though I have been stamping for 25 years, there is always something in your series that I must have. Can’t wait to see you moved into your new room.

  12. Lindarub says:

I love the container to store my stamps.

  13. Lorelle says:

I love the Boon organizer. I was looking for something cute to hold all my tools. It’s perfect and I bought two!

  14. Erika V. says:

Jennifer, thank you so much for your awesome organization tips – they are much appreciated! I’m very new to card making and have enjoyed watching your videos and using MANY of your tips. My favorite organizational tool is my drawer chest from IKEA – the Alex (I discovered it on Kristina’s blog). Since this is a hobby and not my job, it has just the right amount of drawers and space to store all my newly-bought supplies. I have it right next to my desk for very easy access and helps keep my desk clear of clutter. Please, please, please keep on making these Craft Things videos – they are super helpful!

  15. Katie J says:

My favorite organization tool is a tabletop organizer from michaels. It holds all my markers and assorted pens and pencils and looks pretty while doing so!

  16. Pat McCleary says:

I’m still searching for ink organization ideas, but I do love Avery Elle’s stamp storage pockets. I will put a finished die cut in with the stamps & dies for a future project. This was one of your ideas & it’s a great one.

  17. Snow says:

I kezp most of my things in drawers or ikea boxes and it’s so easy to store everything and have everything in it’s place

  18. Linda B. says:

I really like the Boon organizer – it’s so simple and easy to see and grab items that you need.

  19. Mary in Wausau WI says:

My 80 year old Dad, an amazing self taught master craftsman, made me an awesome rolltop crafting desk filled with nooks & crannies for tons of organization opportunities! Definitely a labor of love & a legacy piece of furniture ❤️

  20. Eileen R. says:

I am in LOVE with my Label Maker…I labeled EVERYTHING when I got it!

  21. bev p says:

Not fave: I got some of the job ticket holders, and the first time I tried to use it, it split down the side. It didn’t split the entire distance, so I could still use it, but I was very disappointed. I found one of the sequin storage units at WalMart on the clearance aisle a while ago, and finally pulled it out and used it for my sequins. (I was originally thinking beading supplies.) I love the ease of pulling out one container and I love how securely, yet easily, they close and open. I don’t know if it counts as an organization tool, but I love my new swing-arm Ott light with magnifier. I can’t tell you how many cards I have had to take apart because I put a card with Christmas red elements onto a fuschia card base! Now I can really tell if the colors I am choosing actually look nice together! I am looking forward to seeing your new craft room, and I am in awe of what you have done since the move with stuff MIA or still in storage! I will get more organized as soon as I figure out what I want to be when I grow up! (ie: the needs keep changing as I discover this creative side of myself.!)

  22. Cynthia Tuttle says:

I’m a huge fan of organization too! I really enjoyed your choices of items to get the job done!

  23. Lisa K says:

I discovered the Tim Holtz mini-Distress Ink holder holds Gina K, SU, and any inch ink cube. I am organizing my ink cubes, now. I repurposed a cassette holder a while back and it holds my Lawn Fawn ink wonderfully. I ran out of room for my other inks, so they are in a stack. Maybe some day they will be in a container.

  24. Mandy Salazar says:

    Fridge binz!!!!!! Totally the best!!!

  25. Angela McArthur says:

Iove my fridge Binz for organizing just about anything and everything!

  26. Karen V. says:

I have a mish-mash of organizing tools and it seems I am always reorganizing! A lot of my systems are based on your recommendations. Since I have so much stuff, I guess I don’t really have a fave. But I am glad I have indexed my stamps (I think I am on the 3rd or 4th time there as I change my mind) but it has helped me to locate what I want. I also pulled apart some sets and got rid of what I knew I would not use and combined the rest with like designs. This has saved lots of time and space.

  27. Marilyn Jones says:

my favorite organizing too is bags as I love to have projects that are ready to work on and I don’t have to take the time to gather what is needed for a particular project.

  28. southernbelle320 says:

    I love my label maker!!

  29. Kleri F says:

I would love to have a proper craft room but at the moment this is out of the question and so is spending alot on organisational tools. So I try to do the best with what I’ve got.I use several containers to keep my different inks, paints, markers etc organised and easy to reach when I need them. I have made a file with stamped pages of all my stamps so I can flip through them when I need ideas, meanwhile I try to keep the actual stamps in their packaging and grouped together as much as possible.Given the chance I would like to try your idea of the fridge bin and the Avery Elle die holders.I fell in love with it!
Thank you very much for the video and all the amazing tips.

  30. Jody B says:

I’ve been watching you for a while now, and just ordered the white holder you recommended for my lawn fawn scrubbie cloth! Love it!

  31. blackwhite456 says:

    Thanks for all the tips.

  32. Jess S. says:

Alas, my craft room isn’t very organized. I have, however, managed to put all my dies onto magnetic sheets.

  33. Genevieve says:

The boon organizer rocks but also do you think you could get Tim to make a 24 cube one as I really love these .

  34. Dana W says:

I have lots of fav organization!! I really love my sequin holder that you showcased!

  35. Erin says:

My favourite organising tool is travel craft cases as I love doing craft when I’m out and about. Your Traveler Case looks awesome, must get my hand on them eventually! Thanks for all these great tips, I’m a pretty messy person but being organised when creating things is crucial for me!

  36. Cheryl L. says:

Probably my clear stamp storage envelopes. Love those things.

  37. Colleen H says:

I love the clear containers that you showed us to store our stamps, dies, etc … in, I have started purchasing them 1 at a time and now have them all in the containers. It really is a big help to see the ways other crafters organize or their favorite products, thanks for showing us.

  38. Kary M says:

I love the Mini Distress Ink Tins.

  39. Andrea Soule says:

I’m not 100% sure what my favorite is. I have taken a lot of tips from you on organization and they all have been amazing. My Seville Classics draw organizer might take the cake right now. Best $40 I’ve spent in a while.

  40. Deb L. says:

How exciting to be moving into your new craft space soon! It is truly an amazing feat that you have created such beauty with limited supplies and equipment! This is a sign of an ‘authentic artist’. I aspire to be “organized” someday. Thanks so much. 😉

  41. Nora Simcoe says:

The Fridge Binz and the Label maker have become my favorite organizing items. Thanks for sharing your system, it has helped me immensely!

  42. Caro A says:

what a wonderful crafty series of videos! every single one was so helpful and full of info, so inspiring. if I have to think about this last video topic, it is so difficult because I like organization tools so much but I never seem to be really organized. I love buying containers and I keep thinking about how to improve the status of my desks. but I fail big time. I am confident that soon this will change, right? riiiiiiight?

  43. kel h. says:

i have a paper organizer that i got at a yard sale. life saver game changer!

  44. Mary H. says:

I’ve followed your lead in putting all stamps in Avery Elle clear envelopes. For those sets with matching dies, I use magnetic vendor covers and keep in the same envelope. I have them organized by themes with labeled plastic separators stored in the fridge binz…easy access to everything. I’m a bit OCD with things being organized, so I’m so appreciative of your recommendations!

  45. dawn young says:

I think one of my favs is the fridge binz. I also really like the White Like-it Bricks 13-3/4″ Wide Bins from the Container store. They work really well for my Tim Holtz stamps…I can flip thru them. And this size also fits really nice in my Ikea Rascog Cart. I also really like the mesh vinyl bags…I get mine from the container store as they are come in aqua…(http://www.containerstore.com/s/aqua-vinyl-mesh-pouches/d?productId=11001110&q=zippered pouch) Love them.
Thanks for all your hard work to share with us…Have a very Merry Christmas!!

  46. Cheryl Bennett says:

Enjoyed your video. I have a few things that work well – Tim Holtz tins and also plastic photo cases for cube and cat eye inks and blending tools; for cutting dyes I use cardstock with magnetic sheets, and put the smaller ones in boxes just a little larger than a recipe box, for the larger ones there are some inexpensive clear boxes at Ikea that have lids and work well. I have a lot of UM stamps in CD cases or in avery elle envelopes. Paper is in an paper organizer that I got at the office store a long time ago, and larger paper in either 12 x 12 plastic drawers, or in a bookcase. My husband has made several items for me, including a shelf for the back of the table to store inkpads, and a wall cabinet where aI keep bottles of glues, and inks and various items as well as flowers on the shelves in containers.

  47. Manda says:

I can’t say I have a favourite organisation tool, not having much to organise, nor a space to be organised in! For me, knowing what I own really helps.

  48. Sylvia Sanchez says:

Love using the mesh bags to organize projects.

  49. I like and use the sequin holder that you mentioned last year. I am definitely going to check out the Avery ticket holders you mentioned this year.

  50. Marija Miosic says:

I’m disabled and have to craft in bed so organization is extremly important to me. I have a fold-out table and a large plastic basket filled with all crafting essentials which just stay on my bed. Then I have thematically organized boxes – stamping box, calligraphy box, stencils and pastes box, etc. That was I can easily ask a person to hand me anything extra I need instead of constantly having to ask for every tiny little thing.

My newest addition to organizing are binder rings. Inspired by one of your videos I made paper and stamp swatches and hung them on binder rings. It has made my life so much easier. When I run out of something I just pop out what I need and give the swatch to my parents to show it in the store and buy it for me!
