Many have asked about a craft room tour. I actually shot a video of my old craft room in my old house. And the video will be here soon! I promise. I haven’t had time to share it as it is a big project. But soon…

I am a visual person and need to see to create. Having a cardstock shelving unit was the first item I purchased and I am still using it 11 years later. I moved from the basement to a smaller room upstairs last year and knowing how I create helped in setting the room and I am still tweaking it. Your videos help! Love them!

Believe it or not, my favorite organizational tools are zip lock bags. I especially like the very large ones that can hold 12 x 12 paper & all the embellishments for a scrap book page. I did recently purchase a fridge binz & the avery elle sleeves. Hopefully I’ll have some down time over the holidays & can work on organizing my dies. Thanks so much for sharing all of your ideas & the items that have worked for you.

  21. Tammie says:

Clear label pockets. They are made for the spine of large three-ring notebook binders. I have found they are perfect for labeling drawers or boxes. The inserted paper label can be easily changed and the clear label pocket stays in place. As my craft supplies shift in size, quantity, location, depending on my new favorite craft, these labels have been terrific.

  22. Jackie Hendershot says:

One of my favorite things is organizing besides making cards for the grandkids and a nursing home I donate too. My logic is everything has a place it says time and in my crafting room I tend to use it. I just recently ordered the ink and marker holder from organize more…can’t wait to get it…. Love your videos….thank you!

  25. barb macaskill says:

OH MY GOODNESS! Organization is something that is very near and dear to my heart! I absolutely LOVE organizing and have found that the Interdesign products and my label maker are my two best friends when it comes to organization! Everything has it’s own place and there is a place for everything!!! Knowing that when I need something it will be right where it belongs is HEAVENLY! I just wouldn’t be able to create very well if things were disorganized because I would be tearing my hair out in frustration! When things are neat and orderly I can easily create for hours and hours!
Thanks for sharing all of your favorite crafty things with us! I love seeing what others are loving and sometimes find a new favorite by posts like this one!
    Have a great week!

After one year in a new house I still have a craft closet that needs to be organized. I spend way to much time looking for things. I think I need to get a label maker and redo the entire closet.

Thank you for making your favorites videos and sharing them. I have tried a few of things that you like and now I like them as well.

  31. Amy Lee says:

One of my most useful organization tool is an accordion file folder that I use to store scraps of paper or some of my precut cardstock that I use for my card bases. This is especially useful when you have papers that have similar uses but very different uses. One example is separating my precut bristol paper and just generic white cardstock.

  32. Amber Macmurtry says:

Thank you so much for doing this series 🙂 my favorite organizing tools are my Scraprack, which I use to hold all if my loose embellishments in rainbow color order & my 3 compartment shower caddy from the Dollar Tree that holds all of the small tools & adhesives I use every time I craft 🙂

  43. Johanna says:

I really like my ink pad organizers and I use a filing set up for all my simon says kits. Otherwise I would have a hundred cardboard boxes stacked around.

  44. Tracey Rogers says:

  45. Flo says:

I really like the Darice Bead Storage I have two of them I use for my sequins. The cases make it very easy to see the sequins and it keeps everything together. 49. janesprando says:

Ink pad storage is driving me crazy! I’m looking forward to the video of your new craft room!

  50. Karen Grove says:

Last year I discovered your system for organizing clear stamps in the AveryElle envelopes and clear plastic fridge bins. This has been a huge plus for me because now that I can easily see the stamps, I use them more often. Love it! For me, this year’s major discovery is the 6×7 Magnet Cards from Stamp N Storage. They are strong enough to hold the dies in place and, again, because I can easily flip through them I’m using my dies more often as well. My craft room is slowly but surely becoming much more efficient, though I have quite a ways still to go.
