Video: Liquid Adhesive Solutions Update + GIVEAWAY

Hello. Today’s video is an update for fine-tip, no-clog, adhesive solutions.

My two favorite adhesives are Ranger’s Glossy Accents and Multi Medium Matte. Glossy Accents is a clear, strong adhesive that I like to put on top of embellishments for some shine. Multi Medium Matte is a very strong adhesive that dries matte. However, I find that changing out the tips of these bottles gives a better application and prevents them from clogging. I had done a video on this awhile back but wanted to update it as I get a lot of emails asking if these solutions still work.

For small bottles (such as the Mini Glossy Accents and Multi Medium Matte), I like to take the nozzle off with pliers and replace it with the Quilled Creations fine-tip nozzle. When placing the cap back on, press lightly. Pushing too hard may result in getting it stuck or damaging the needle. Also, I’ve found that the connector piece can come off, which I don’t mind at all, but it’s a personal preference.

For large bottles (such as the large Glossy Accents), I remove the nozzle with pliers and replace it with the Scraperfect No-Clog Writing Cap. I suggest wiping the tip off of glossy accents before placing the cap back on. I really like that the needle in the cap prevents clogging.

Another solution that is cost effective is placing a plastic hang tie (off of clothing) inside the applicator. No need for the cap and it prevents clogging as well.

There are many options out there (trust me – I think I tried them all!), but these have worked the best for me. Hopefully, one of these will work for you too!

  7. Jennifer I’m going to try your suggestions. I usually pit a hat pin into my bottles to unclog them. I never thought to leave them just in there as the cap like you did the clothes tag piece. I bet that would work. But I really like the fine amount of glue you can get out at one time. My favorite glue at the moment is my glue glider. I use that most often. But I’m hoping that some of the things you showed us just might replace that. Thanks so much!

  8. kim k says:

I haven’t tried the Ranger Matte medium. I usually use glossy accents or a glue stick. Thanks for the helpful video.

  9. As of recently, multi-medium matte is my favorite!

  10. Melissa says:

I found these ideas very helpful. Thanks.

  11. Jaynescraps says:

It must be glossy accents because every time I see it in a store I buy it like I’ll never see it again. I probably own more than I’ll ever use. I’d love your giveaway. I spend a lot of time unclogging glue.

  12. Kathy W says:

My favorite is Ranger’s Multi Matte Medium with Glossy Accents running a close second. My crafting friends used to tease me about the amount of Glossy Accents I was using. It’s still my favorite for enhancing embellishments, but the Multi Matte Medium is so perfect for attaching the embellishments and sequins and etc! A big thanks to Ranger! 🙂

  18. Laurie VanDerLinden says:

I like the multi medium matte but local stores only have it in a bottle with the brush which is difficult to use.

  19. Ewanda says:

I’ve tried so many different types of liquid glue over the years, but I’ve found that Scrappy Glue works good and the Scotch brand. I’ve used the Glossy Accents but never the multi-medium Matte. If either dries up in the nozzle, I use a needle to get it unstuck. Thanks for all the tips and tricks!

  20. Jane DeSanti says:

Glossy Accents! I love how I can make balloons 3 D.

  21. SJ says:

3m scrapbook liquid glue with 2 purple caps. Layers are glued forever I need a few seconds to slide layers or embellishments straight so tape runners don’t work for me. l Ike glossy accents and multi Matt too.

  22. Mary in IL says:

I don’t have a favorite since the things I have tried in the past always clogged but…I see some great solutions in your video! Thank you so much.

After watching your videos I bought the fine tip nozzle. LOVE IT! But I poured GA from the big bottle of GA to the Quilled bottle. I’ll have to check out the Scraperfect Medium nozzle. Good to know that aftermarket tops fit the OEM bottles. 🙂

  27. Valerie says:

I have been using the Matte Multi Medium but it is from a big jar that has gotten thick. Still works, but is a pain to get on the paper. Thanks for a chance to win these products!

Hi Jennifer, Really enjoying your videos…Thanks for all the care you put into them. I started using Tombow Mono Adhesive Tape years ago when I did scrapbooking. Still find it quick, but refills a bit expensive. My go to. I also like RANGER med matte and Glossy Accents. Use Scotch Foam Tape for shaker cards. You’re awesome and a blessing!

  32. Liquid adhesives-Matte multi medium, Scraperfect World’s Best Glue. Tape runner-Xyron mega runner. I love both those fine tip applicators, I’ve tried them both. I would love to have some more!

  35. Sue says:

I recently found Multi Medium Matt for intricate cut die shapes. The Quilled Precision Tip for that will be awesome! Also love Glossy Accents. I guess I’m really a ‘glue obsessor’ (is that a name?), as I am ready to try any new glue I see, after all, you never know what’s new might be the perfect one. Thanks for all you share to make us better card makers.

  36. Lisaerica says:

Jennifer, well a year or so ago when I first got interested in this hobby I stumbled across your YouTube videos. So to answer this question, you mentioned Ranger glossy accents and multi medium, I bought it, lol. I agree, I love them both, their pretty much all I use. I don’t however have the fine tip no clog applicators, I haven’t got around to getting them yet. Thanks for sharing and the chance to win.

  37. Laura says:

I’ve really loved used Multi Medium Matte since you recommended it! I love that if it comes out from under what you are adhering it is not super noticeable the way Glossy Accents. I do have a soft spot for Glossy Accents to add some dimension and shine to things.
