Hello. Today’s video is an update for fine-tip, no-clog, adhesive solutions.

My two favorite adhesives are Ranger’s Glossy Accents and Multi Medium Matte. Glossy Accents is a clear, strong adhesive that I like to put on top of embellishments for some shine. Multi Medium Matte is a very strong adhesive that dries matte. However, I find that changing out the tips of these bottles gives a better application and prevents them from clogging. I had done a video on this awhile back but wanted to update it as I get a lot of emails asking if these solutions still work.

For small bottles (such as the Mini Glossy Accents and Multi Medium Matte), I like to take the nozzle off with pliers and replace it with the Quilled Creations fine-tip nozzle. When placing the cap back on, press lightly. Pushing too hard may result in getting it stuck or damaging the needle. Also, I’ve found that the connector piece can come off, which I don’t mind at all, but it’s a personal preference.

For large bottles (such as the large Glossy Accents), I remove the nozzle with pliers and replace it with the Scraperfect No-Clog Writing Cap. I suggest wiping the tip off of glossy accents before placing the cap back on. I really like that the needle in the cap prevents clogging.

Another solution that is cost effective is placing a plastic hang tie (off of clothing) inside the applicator. No need for the cap and it prevents clogging as well.

There are many options out there (trust me – I think I tried them all!), but these have worked the best for me. Hopefully, one of these will work for you too!

My go-to adhesive of the moment is Scotch Quick-Dry adhesive because it has a nozzle that doesn’t clog! I’d like to try the Ranger Matte Multi-Medium, have heard good things about it.

I love Glossy Accents, even if the bottle clogs up on me. I also really like Mulit Matt Medium. Both are really my go-to’s. I need to look into the new tops.

I just converted my large bottle of Glossy Accents to the needle applicator and am very happy. I was so tired of it always clogging.

  5. Phyllis says:

Thanks for the update. New to the cardmaking craft, I am currently not using either product, but after watching this and other videos you have posted, I am certainly going to give the product and the tips a try. Thank you!

  6. Sue W. says:

I’ve been using the Tombow Multi Mat for most of my gluing, but have the Glossy Accents for my glossing jobs. Never really used it for it’s ‘glue’ properties, but will. Thanks for this information…am filing it away and will try those new tips shortly.

  7. Mai says:

Great video, I love Glossy Accents! It’s a strong adhesive and has other uses! Haven’t used the multi medium matte before, so would love to see what it’s like. Thanks for the chance!

  8. María Alba Negrón says:

    Hi Jennifer,

What a great giveaway and much needed!!! My favorites are the same as yours, I bought the matte from Ranger but since I am still using the one from an UK brand, which is fabulous
and I think is the same, I am waiting to finish it and then compare to Ranger. So far I am VERY PLEASED with it and a very small bottle that I use often has still a lot to give.
Thanks for the chance to win!

    Cariños,
    María Alba

Glossy accents snd multi medium are my go to’s.

  15. D.Ann C says:

I like Aleene’s Tacky Glue but use Glossy Accents when I need a fine line or dot. For some reason I just have a hard time using GA for glue when it is SO terrific at making things glossy. : )

Still trying to find one that will become a favorite. I want to try out your suggestions.

  22. Fe says:

I use the multi medium matte for almost everything. Seems to hold up quite well. I need the nozzle though.

  23. Gabby says:

I’ve been using Tombow mono-multi glue for many yrs. The good thing is that it’s consistent. The bad thing is it “blobs” out sometimes instead of giving me the thin, fine line I need. 🙁 All my ranger glossy accents/glue bottles have clogged. When I put a thick needed in the tip to “open” it up, it didn’t always work. One time I did that and it wouldn’t come out and I squeezed the bottle so hard, it split the plastic at the top and half the bottle “blobbed” out onto my almost finished card! Arrgghh. 🙁 I would love to try these thin anti-clog tips! THANKS! 🙂

  24. Ashley W says:

I love Glossy Accents but my bottle always clogs 🙁 will try one of these solutions for sure!

  25. The liquid adhesive I use is Tombow Mono but it’s the only one I’ve used. I have Glossy Accents but have never used it as an adhesive but after watching your tutorials I’m going to start. I love the tips on how to replace the ends with the paper quilling tips. Love watching you!

  26. Lynn J says:

I love Glossy Accents and The Crafters Ultimate glue. I am anxious to try the Matte Medium. Thanks for the video and the great prize!

  27. Lianne says:

I’ve been using Scotch Quick dry, but currently have a selection of glues that I’m trying to decide which works best for me. The fine tip applicators look like a great idea.

  28. Sheri K says:

Great video–love the cost effective alternative! My favorite adhesives are scotch quick dry for general stuff, when I need a more secure one, I use glossy accents or matte medium. I will have to try the alternate technique, I’m hoping to win the other ones. Thanks for the chance to win–love your give- aways!

  29. I use Cosmic Shimmer PVA, Glossy Accents and the Matt Multi Medium. It depends what I am using glue for. Fab video and thank you for the chance to win! xxx

  30. Julie Miro says:

My favorite glue depends on what I am doing. I love the convenience of Tombow “snail” runner (regular and extreme) and am a long time user of Tombow Mono Multi. Since seeing you use Ranger MMM I have started using that and recently put that quilling tip on my bottle. I love that it dries matte.

  31. Carol Ann Ater says:

FAVE FINE LINE GLUE is really a toss up. Easy dry clear and are easy to apply. they are most reliable and worth the money.

  32. Deanna T. says:

I have been using Multi Medium Matte for about 4 months now…I love it..the sequins, pearls, etc stay on my cards even through the US Mail system.
    Thanks for the informative video.

  33. Teresa Crutcher says:

I too use the Tombow for convenience but do use MMM and glossy for a longer staying power!

  34. Janet Mack says:

I usually use Tombow mono multi but I have tried Glossy Accents and I like it better. These tips are a great idea.

  35. Randee S says:

For small items and things I really want to stick I use Ranger MMM. I also like to use my ATG and Score Tape. TFS

  36. Debbie G says:

I use the Tombow Mono multi adhesive, but the tip tends to clog. I will definately have to replace my caps with the no clog tips.

  37. Linda says:

I have found Best Glue Ever to be nice and strong. I do need a finer tip, though!

  38. Megan says:

Well that is difficult, horses for courses… I do like Tombow Multi, and I use a lot of Glossy Accents however recently I have bought some Elmer’s school glue and I have been using that for quilting and paper crafting. I have one of those little bottles that you can decant into. The little bottle has a pin in the top to stop clogging, however it turns the first bit of glue rusty, they really should sue stainless steel. So you see hard decision, each glue has a unique application use.

  39. Kim Heggins says:

Wonderful giveaway!!! Thanks for the chance to win.

  40. Brandi R says:

Great tips! Thank You!!! My favorite adhesives….Multi Medium Matte and TomBow Mono liquid ♥

  44. Mary says:

I love glossy accents for the shine!

  45. Sonya Littler says:

Oh boy, would I love to win these since they are all on my wish list. I use tombow mono a lot right now, but don’t like that it’s dries shiny if it leaks out a bit. Love my Glossy Accents and those fine tip applicators are great for sequins, etc…. even if you don’t have clogging issues. Thanks!

  46. Elaine Sever says:

I haven’ton used the ones in your video yet but I have used and like Beacon 3-in-1 craft glue.

  47. KimberlyRae says:
