Hands down, my favorites are from Tsukineko. The Versamark is my go to black ink pad.

  2. Briana Rios says:

My favorite ink is memento tuxedo black! I also love versamark!

  3. Lisa says:

Lately, my favorite is the MFT hybrid black. LOVE that i can use it for copics, must get it in other colors.

  4. Annie says:

I use mostly dye and distress inks. I would like to try more pigment inks though.

  5. Heather R says:

I’ve gotta say I’ve tried Momento tuxedo and like it but it could be crisper, Versafine Black could dry faster but is crisper and so I guess my very favorite would have to be the My Favorite Things black hybrid ink. But I haven’t tried Hero Arts Black and I think that’s going to have to be something I try next however it wouldn’t work for the copics so it’s limited for me.

  6. Pati L says:

My favorite ink is Versafine, so crisp esp. for the detailed scripts & images. Memento is ok for non-detail stuff. Now I want to try the MFT hybrid and Hero Arts you recommend. 🙂

  7. Star says:

    Versafine, love those crisp lines.

  8. Ruthie C says:

    Distress Inks are my favorite☆

  9. Kim Thomas says:

Hi Jennifer. Thank you again for offering such a wonderful giveaway on top of the great series. They are all so informative. My favorite inks are the Hero Arts Shadow inks, so I guess I’m a fan of dye inks. I always end up smearing pigment ink. Thank you again. Take care, Kim 🙂

My favorite inks for techniques are the distress inks, but my favorite for stamping is versafine onyx black. I haven’t tried the Memento Luxe yet, but those are on my wishlist. I’ve heard good things about them.

Love your series and have learned a ton! I have several favorite inks since I use them for all different things. Have to say the versafine would be my most used black ink – and I do emboss over it often. Next has to be my distress minis! Thanks for all you do to keep us up on the “must-haves!”

  25. Li says:

Thank you for posting this series. I find it very informative and helpful. especially your review of black inks. Who knew that getting a beautiful impression in basic black ink could be so challenging? I’ve always found it difficult to get a clear and clean impression in black ink. I have all the MFT hybrid ink colors, all the Distress ink colors, and all the Memento dew drop colors . . . I LOVE all of them. I love the Mama Elephant colors and hope to purchase the full set shortly. Thanks for the tips on the minis. That’s actually a great tip, since — like you — I don’t use the Distress inks for stamping.

  26. Rachel says:

I am still a lover of color box. It was one of my first purchases many years ago. But have started trying other pigment inks. I also have started investing in Hero Arts and am enjoying the dye ink.

  27. It really depends on what I am stamping – for Copic coloring it’s Memento Tuxedo Black, for ink layering it’s the Hero Arts Shadow Ink and for blending and cool water effects it’s Ranger Distress Ink…

  28. Katy says:

In terms of colour I’m addicted to Peacock feathers distress ink (which I gather is a popular choice).

  29. Natalie Rice says:

My current favorite inks are Momento’s, especially the tuxedo black. I’m still collecting distress inks. I like the new mini pads. I would love a reason to try the HA shadow inks.

  30. Gina j says:

I recently bought the little hero arts dye cubes (awesome to know they fit in the distress tin) and I’m really liking how pretty they look after the soak into the paper. Really interesting ink

  31. My favorite inks are distress inks! Especially the seasonal colors, like evergreen bough, peacock feathers and squeezed lemonade! I love that you can use them in many fun techniques!

  32. Sarah says:

My favorite ink is butter bar from hero arts 😀

  33. Su says:

Great information as always!! Thanks for your generous sharing of helpful information.

  34. Traci Brennan says:

Thank you for this one, Jennifer….I love your comparisons of the different inks. I use Memento for my Copics, but otherwise, my preferences seem to follow yours.

  41. Marcee Rodgers says:

    Def. Ranger Distress Inks!

  42. Rachel K says:

Toss up between Distress and Hero Arts Shadow inks. I love both for different reasons!

  43. LBirt says:

Love the distress inks probably the most. Haven’t ventured out much with pigment inks and stick to black for dye with other coloring methods. This video kinda puts a spark under me to try something new & different. Thanks!

  44. Holly Denghel says:

I tend to use distress inks the most, because I love blending the colors. It’s just so much fun, like grown up finger painting. 🙂

  45. Terri Thornhill says:

I love Stampin Up inks as they match their cardstock. I also most of the distress inks and will be finishing collecting them. Would love the minis, but with only a few left of regular size, I will be sticking with them. Thank you so much for your videos. I have learned a lot and gained more confidence with what I am doing. Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge and ability with others.

  46. Pat W says:

I have the small distress inks by Tim Holtz. I really like them for blending backgrounds.
Would like to try some other inks as well.

  47. Teresa Luck says:

  48. Jingle says:

I LOVE the MFT hybrids, I use VersaFine a lot for sentiments, and my Simon and Hero Arts inks are probably my most used colored inks. I sort of have an ink problem, actually. I really love a good ink!
