My Favorite Crafty Things 2018: Adhesive & Paper

Hello! I am back with another episode of My Favorite Crafty Things 2018. Today is all about adhesive and paper.

Important note (and confession): It’s been a challenging few months. Yikes! A couple family members are having health challenges… and life got away from me. I am a giver and I was giving so much that I started to feel weak. Last weekend, while I was snuggling for a nap with Lila (I have been uber sick), I decided to let go of a lot of things. And I felt a lightness that I needed so badly. I know I am not the only one struggling, so I wanted to share in case this helps you feel not-so-alone, too. Hang in there and embrace that light! As part of me letting go of stress, I will not be trying to jam the rest of My Favorite Crafty Things series before the New Year. I apologize for the delay… it all got away from me. I need to focus on my family. I thank you for your understanding. Hugs!

How about several great discount codes from some of our favorite shops? I will be updating this list:

Let’s talk about adhesive and paper

  1. I really like American Crafts Sticky Thumb adhesive and Nuvo glue but I am excited to try the Gina K products. They look super!

  2. Thank you so much for all the energy and time you put into your videos. You are the easiest person to listen to and learn from. Take care of yourself

  3. I’ve been using the ATG glue gun but find it so cumbersome. I will definitely be trying the Gina K tape runner and liquid adhesive.

  4. Thanks Jennifer for doing this series of videos. Please take all the time you need. I can only imagine how hard it is to do them.
My favorite wet adhesives are Gina K Connect and Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive and for dry, Tombow Mono Dots and Be Creative Tape (all sizes).

  5. I have a Herma glue dots roller and I love that it is refillable so is much less wasteful than other glue rollers. When I need something stronger I use the Tim Holtz ranger collage medium in the matte finish. I’d love to try Gina K connect but that’s not widely available in the uk (I know of one online store that sells it and it sells out very very quickly).

  6. Thank you for doing this series, I like to hear about new products that are tried and true. My favorite adhesive is the 3M ATG. It’s a little bit cumbersome, however, the refills last for ever and so far its the only adhesive that hasn’t let go after cards sit around for a while. I did order the Gina K dot runner that you suggested, I’m excited to try it as it’s a little more portable.

  7. Great recommendations – thank you for the video! I enjoy seeing your favourites! My favourite adhesive is Art Glitter Glue. I was forever on the search for the perfect adhesive until I tried it. After that, my search was over. Hope you will have the opportunity to try it sometime – would love to hear what you think, compared to Gina K’s.

  8. I’ve been using Art Glitter glue lately and really like it. I use
a fine tip applicator with it and so far, no clog as long as you remember to put the tip back on when not using it. I like that it dries clear and a little goes a long way. Thank yu for sharing your tips, etc with us. Hope ur feeling better soon.

  9. I love your videos and blog, and am glad to hear you are letting go of some of the stress. Family and health are so important! My current favorite adhesives are Art Glitter Glue, Distress Collage Medium, and Be Creative Tape. I am anxious to try the Gina K Conmect.

  10. On your recommendation, I tried the Gina K glue; I love it! Thank you for making these videos.
I hope everyone is feeling better. Please, take all the time you need to get yourself well.

  11. I love using my ATG gun and score tape but lately I have been using SSS tacky glue for everything. I just love how it works and the wiggle room I get before it sets.

  12. My favorite adhesive is whichever one I can find when I’m searching my messy craft desk!! Just kidding! I’ve really enjoyed the connect glue by Gina K!

  13. This was a VERY useful youtube – thanks! Sorry you’ve been unwell, but glad you’ve cut-back to give yourself time to bounce back. My favourite adhesive has to be the Gina K Designs Connect Glue Adhesive 5614 – because the tip gives you such control, especially for tiny amounts, it’s a good size in my hand, and it WORKS! Thanks for your inspiration throughout 2018, and Happy New Year for 2019. From a Jennifer in Australia!

  14. I have always been a dot runner girl but I just purchased the Gina connect glue. Can’t wait to try it. Thank you for all your video’s,

  15. I truly appreciate your wonderful talent that you share with everyone. You continue to teach me new things all the time. I can’t wait to try the products you have suggested. Thank you

  16. I love love the Gina K connect glue. It can be used with multiple things and never disappoints. Thank you so much for taking the time to inspire and educate us. I am always anxious to watch your videos. My hope is that you have a great 2019.

  17. Take as much Me Time as you want. Making videos as detailed as yours are and easy to view is not easy, I know. Since adhesives is one area I tend to scrimp on (not in the US so I buy locally available adhesives to save on shipping), my favorite adhesives are the double-sided tapes that I buy from Daiso. They work great and there are different widths.

  18. My favorite adhesive lately has been Multi Medium Matte. I got tired of shiny adhesive showing past the edges of whatever I was gluing. I use an ultra fine tip on the small bottle and refill it from a larger container.

  19. Oh I would love to win a Gina K certificate….I’ve just started using her connect glue and I believe that is my favorite! I’ve also purchased some of their stamps recently. No apologies ever needed…you make a ton of videos and they are always excellent quality. You need to take more care of yourself!!

  20. My current favorite wet adhesive is Gina K Connect Glue. I tried it based on your recommendation and love the features of easy application, fine tip, and drying matte without stick. Thanks for doing all of these videos for us!

  21. I am wanting to try the Gina K Connect glue. I have been using Tombow Mono glue when I need a liquid glue and double sided tape for dry adhesive. I would also like to try the Gina K dot runner since it has refills. Cost is always an issue in this hobby and I want to know that I ‘m paying for a good product! Thank you for the wonderful and informative video that will help me make a wise selection!

  22. One of my new favorite adhesives is the Gina K Connect glue. like the intricate precision I am able to obtain with certain thin dies.

  23. Hi Jennifer! I am loving Gina K Connect glue….especially for glueing intricate layering dies together! So precise and it gives me ‘wiggle room’ to get things just right! Thanks so much for doing these videos for us!

  24. Hi Jennifer! I am loving Gina K Connect glue….especially for glueing intricate layering dies together! So precise and it gives me ‘wiggle room’ to get things just right! Thanks so much for doing these videos for us!

  25. My go to adhesive depends on what I am doing: I like the Kokuyo dotliner when a tape runner is needed. I even use Scotch double sided tape when I am attaching large areas to my cardbase. I like Scrappy glue in a small bottle when a liquid glue is needed. I like Scor-tape when I need to put together a box. So there isn’t just one glue that I like but I listed a few of my favorites.

  26. I too absolutely love the Gina K Connect glue. It has been such a game changer for me and I even used it on something that is not card/scrapbook related and it held up really well.

  27. THANK YOU! For all of your inspiration, tips and techniques! I hope 2019 is an amazing and wonderful year for you and your family! My favorite adhesives are the Gina K connect glue and 3M foam tape. However, I am going to try Gina K’s brand of foam tape soon!! Thank you and Happy New Year!!

  28. I tried the Gina K connect glue this year and am very please with it. I live in AZ and regardless of what glue I use or tips I try, they clog. This one rarely clogs, but have had to use a pin to unclog it a few times. I also love Be Creative tape for interactive things. Will be trying some of the other things you mentioned in your video. Thank you for the information and looking forward to 2019 with you and your videos!

  29. These are such helpful videos! For liquid adhesive, I really like GinaK’s connect. For dry- I can’t give up my huge ATG “gun”.

  30. My favorite adhesive is a dot tape roller. Since my favorite has been discontinued I am looking for a new brand to try. Both the Gina K and the Alt&new look good. Planning on trying them.

  31. Jennifer,

Praying for you and your family members regain your health soon. Take care of yourself. Thanks for doing the videos and one of these days I will have the money to try some of the products you suggest. The one product I knew I would not ever be able to get was Tim Holtz Glass Media Mat. But an awesome friend gave it to me for Christmas. I haven’t been able to use it yet because I have been sick with a yucky cold.

May God shower His healing and blessings down on you and your family.

  32. Thanks for compiling these videos! My favorite wet adhesive right now is the Gina K Connect glue and the Mono Multi Medium Matte. Favorite dry adhesive is the Be Creative tape and Ad Tech permanent runner.

  33. Hugs Jennifer! It is nice to know someone else is going through similar struggles. At Christmas dinner my family was discussing individual goals for next year, and my main goal is to not let stress overwhelm me and to try and remain CALM. I hope for the same for you in the next year. Hugs!
