  1. Simone says:

I love the Gina K Designs Cardstock and I use a German liquid glue from “Uhu”. Didn’t know there was a glue pen so small – thank you for your inspiring videos and all the time you spent making them!

  2. Sarah Kate says:

I just ordered Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# in a Cyber Monday deal but I’m having a hard time affordably sourcing it in the 110#. I also have HP Premium laser 32# paper that I bought for Copic marker drawing, cardmaking, and using in my bullet journal. My favorite adhesive is Tombow Extreme runner and Tombow Multi liquid.

  3. ggnurse says:

I use Michael’s heavy weight white cardstock since it’s nice & thick & I can get it with at least 40% off. Having a limited budget & not being a professional cardmaker, it makes the most sense to me. Honestly, I can’t tell the difference from an expensive one I tried–maybe scores & folds even better. For adhesive, my favorite is Scotch Adhesive Dot roller which I also use a coupon to get refills. It’s still pretty expensive to me & since I use a ton of it, I’ve switched mostly to the Tombos adhesive dot roller. I can get a 3 pack of refills with a coupon making it quite reasonable. For liquid adhesive I love Perfect Paper Adhesive which totally doesn’t show. However, it may not be as strong, so I’m going to try the Distress collage you showed. I use the 3M foam tape roll as I discovered a cheaper version doesn’t even stick well to paper! I plan to try out the thin strips you showed — so great to be able to curve it & have it be not so stiff. Thanks for all the great info, Jennifer!

  4. Rose Mary Smalley says:

  5. MLugo says:

LOve this helpful videos. Thanks 🙏

  6. Deepa Lakshman says:

Great information. I use Stampin Up cardstock a lot. But I love the brighter colors from other companies which I am eyeing. I use Tombow mono adhesive tape runner and the liquid glue alternating between each.

  7. Emily Marjamaa says:

I love your recommendations and am hoping for some Christmas money to try some Gina K products . Thank you so much for the time you spend doing this.

  8. dancingcat says:

I use Tombo Mono Liquid Glue the most. I am not great at adhering my cards to card bases, and liquid glue give me a little time to adjust it.

  9. Heather L says:

I don’t have a particular favorite cardstock, but for adhesives I go for the Tombow dots tape runner or the Ranger multi matte medium, depending on what I’m gluing. Thanks for all your suggestions and for the great give-aways!

  10. Sharon Brand says:

I generally use Michaels Recollections 65lb and ll0lb white cardstock. For the adhesive I use
Thermoweb tape runner, Zots and I love the quickie glue pen!

  11. MJ says:

This video series is awesome. I have learned so much! So many papers I didn’t know about. Thank you so much!
Kokuyo Long Dot Liner is the adhesive I use. I used to live near a Kelly Paper and used one of their cover stock. I have tried a few of the watercolor papers you and Kristina have suggested also.

  12. Hi there,

I use the Tombow Multi Mono Liquid Glue the most and then I use the Elizabeth Craft Designs double-sided tape for adhesives. I haven’t used Neena yet and would like to try it for my paper.

I enjoy all the tips and find them very helpful.

  13. Thanks so much for all the inspiration you give to me. Very much like your videos. I use an ATG tape most of the time . I have used Tombow mono liquid glue for years and really like it, recently I purchased Art glitter glue and am liking the smaller applicator tip.

  14. Heidi says:

I love linen textured card stock for my bases. And one mill Foamtastische tape and liquid glue (but only one specific one) for my adhesive’s

  15. jackie.bell says:

Hi Jennifer, thanks for sharing my favorite things! Some awesome information!

  16. gloria says:

Very informative video thanks. I did try the Gina k paper and it does make a big difference.

  17. Tammie J. says:

I ordered the Neenah card stock after last year’s My Favorite Things series and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!

  18. Sheri K says:

Thanks for the great tips Jennifer! I have always purchased card bases on sale at the big box craft stores, but find the cards aren’t straight or don’t fold correctly. I make a ton of cards–and I’m thinking I need to start making my own card bases, I have a ton of colors of cs, again purchased at big box stores and find the quality is often poor. I also use my electronic die cut machine often, and the paper doesn’t seem to cut right. You have convinced me that I will no longer purchase “cheap” CS, will use up my current stash and purchase better quality in the future.

  19. Tina says:

The cardstock that I use the most is just the Neenah. I have other cardstock that I bought from Stampin’Up when I first started card making but I find that it doesn’t hold up as well and makes a rather flimsy card.

  20. Jean Marmo says:

Thank you again for more wonderful info! I see some things I need to try!

  21. Judy M says:

Fave paper is Neenah Classic Crest 110lb. But I really like the Exact Index 110lb for envelopes since I make my own. I also use Hammermill Cover Digital in both 80 and 100 lbs for layering.
Their paper is super smooth, bright white and very affordable. As for adhesives, I am 100% loyal to Scor-Tape.

  22. Presently using Gina K heavy card base but will look into ordering some solar classic. I love score tape or any of the sort.

  23. Karen Gault says:

I have searched several places for some of these products. Thanks for sharing

  24. María Alba Negrón says:

    Hi Jennifer,

Almost always will be Neenah, I use also PTI in all the colors. However I have been using another brand of adhesive which you can find at Viva Las Vegas which gives me double the length of Scor-Tape but less money and it’s as great as Scor-Tape hence my pocketbook is sooo grateful!

    Cariños,
    María Alba

  25. Spela says:

Jennifer, your favorite things videos are so helpful – I always look at them not only when they come out but throughout the year when I’m considering what to buy.

  26. Carol says:

thanks for the information … I plan to order the Neenah yardstick … I am always looking for a good adhesive – currently using Tombow and Ranger.

  27. Pati L says:

Great information! I currently use ATG glider, Scor-tape and Tombow Mono as my adhesives of choice. Tho I also use foam tape and Stick-It sheets for some projects. Now I’m interested in that TH Collage Medium. :).

  28. Isabelle says:

Thank you for these precious advices ! Paper is definitively a problem. I’ve tried many papers I find in Switzerland and even in other European countries, but until now, I did not find something equivalent to Neenah paper. It’s good I still have a few sheets of it. I keep them for the cards created for my best friends.

  29. Karen Walker says:

I finally found a tape runner at Staples that I love. It never seems to tangle or stop working, and I don’t have to order it online to replace it. My favorite cardstock is Papertrey Ink which coordinates with their ink pads which I also like.

  30. Penny J says:

I love the way you show us the new products. Thanks for all you do for us! Really appreciate you. Merry Christmas.
    Hugs,
    Penny

  31. Kristina "CraftyPaws" says:

I use Georgia Pacific premium cardstock most (it is so cheap at Walmart) and Art Glitter glue with a fine tip nozzle most for adhesives.

  32. Debbie Eslinger says:

I love the fog color from SSS, and always used the Neenah White, I need to try Gina K papers. Thanks for all t he great tips

  33. Etang says:

Jennifer, I am hooked on your blog and videos. I have learned so much from you. I use Gina K cardstock, scor tape, and tombow runners. I want to try out some of the items you mentioned including Tim Holtz Collage Medium adhesive and Koh-i-Noor Bristol cardstock. Thanks for your helpful tips.

  34. Lori Ritchie says:

Great video Jennifer, I am a newbie and I’ve documented your favs!

  35. Sue LD says:

I like Neenah and Gina K card stock and mainly use Scotch double stick tape or Tombows liquid adhesive.

  36. Elaine says:

Oh, I’ve been using the Neenah cardstock since the first time I saw your Favorite Crafty things!
    So grateful for your knowledge!

  37. Rose says:

Great video with lots of info. I use the Neenah Classic paper the most, but just trying some of the Gina K line and favorite adhesive is Be Creative. Thanks again

  38. Melissa says:

I use the Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110 pound – cover. I use Tombow snail adhesive.

  39. Jeanne Beam says:

Thanks for very informative videos. I use Neenah Exact premium Cardstock and for adhesives I use different ones.

  40. Bjeans says:

Great fave video as usual, thank you!
QUESTION: what happaned to the love for 80 pound Neenah Classic Crest in solar white? You used to like it for layering on top of the 110. Just like the heavier version?

And I’d love to know how the collage medium is different from Multi Medium Matte. Learning a bit about your transition from one to another would be great.

  41. yousee2it says:

Hi Jennifer, I appreciate these videos every Year and refer back through out the year. I recently tried the Gina K cardstock and love the color. So rich. I haven’t purchased The Neenah Classic Crest Solar White in 110 weight. However, I currently use the same in 80 weight, for the decorative portion of the card. I am currently using Stampin heavy weight cardstock for the base. But want to get a ream of the Neenah Mentioned above when mine runs out. Thank you for all you do for our craft. ❤️️

  42. Debbi S says:

Love all the great tips, thanks so much for all the info!

  43. Bonita says:

I use Recollections mostly but I want to try some of the better cardstock in your video. Thanks for your videos.

  44. dloates2005 says:

I use a lot of Neenah 110# for stamping and Copic’s paper for my COPIC markers. For color I’m using PTI paper as I move away from SU due to its lighter weight! Love the Neenah for cards! Thanks so much for all this info! We appreciate your time and effort!

  45. Dana Ryan Perez says:

I really appreciate all the information on the products you have featured and value seeing you use them. It is great to know that you only recommend what has worked well.

  46. Jean Chaney says:

Great video, Jennifer. I am loving the Gina K papers for my cardmaking. She has such lovely colors and the paper is sturdy. I will certainly have to look into getting some matching envelopes. I had an unusually sized card the other day and chose some very heavy glittered paper to make my own envelope. All the tapes, even the strongest wouldn’t hold the stamp and return address stickers. Any advice?

  47. I love solar white, I also love the light gray cardstock from PTI and or Simon Says Stamp. My adhesive is my big ATG, love that baby!

  48. Enna says:

Great video. I love the Neenah 110# Cover for card bases and die cutting. For coloring or any blending, I like Strathmore Bristol Smooth 400 (not 300) series. My very favorite, especially when I need something with more tooth, I love the Strathmore Bristol in the Vellum finish – super white and has enough tooth for watercolor pencils (both oil-based and wax based). I’ve been using this last since I was a kid with my Faber Castell Polychromos and Albrect Durer pencils, long before I discovered crafting. It takes a bit of water too, so I can use markers and watercolor markers and pencils on it as well. It is just a little harder to find on sale.

  49. Lin says:

Kokuyo dot liner is my newest favorite but I will use other products. I use many different types of card stock but several are Neenah. I am a novice and will definitely try different things. Thanks for this series.

  50. Pampam says:

I started using the Neenah cards stockk after watching one of your videos. You are right makes a huge difference!!
    Thanks for all the helpful,tips!
