Thanks Jennifer, your videos are always appreciated. My favorite ink for stamping sentiments is Versafine Onyx. Crisp and clear! For white I love Hero Arts Unicorn, which I bought on your recommendation.

  2. Jackie Price says:

Another awesome video! Just want to thank you for doing this favourite things series every year faithfully. I’m sure it’s a load of time and work that you could do without (especially at this time of year)but you continue to go above and beyond for your fans!! You’re amazing at what you do and are so very talented at what you do that we trust and value your opinion and find this series very helpful and informative . Thank you so very much!!! Of course versamark is a favourite ink of mine, as it allows for embossing, but I also really like the distress inks. I’ve got my eye on the distress oxide inks as the look like they’d be amazing. It just hasn’t been in the books to purchase them yet. The Gina K. inksalso are on my wishlist as they look so rich, vibrant, and crisp.

  3. ChristineZ says:

Thank you for sharing so much information on the inks. I love Gina K inks but now I think I will give Altenew inks a try. Thanks again.

  4. Jane McBee says:

I love the look of oxide ink on your video , but I am worried about using it and making a mistake. I need just jump right in and experiment. You have inspired and motivated me.

  5. yvette says:

Love inks…I sometimes feel like I have way too many…HEHEHEHE….I love Stampin Up ink pads, Distress and Oxide inks and VersaFine ink (Black)

  6. Sheri K says:

Thanks for another great video–I agree, versafine black is one of my favorites, so crisp. But I’m in love with distress oxide inks as well–and of course the regular distress as well.Your videos and the education we are getting about these products is awesome!

  7. Terrie says:

Thank you for sharing this! I’m still very new to stamping, so I haven’t used many inks. I can’t wait to try VersaMark ink for embossing and the watermark look. I also think the Distress Oxide Inks look so cool. Thanks for the chance to win 🙂

  8. Tammy perkins says:

Thoroughly enjoy your videos! I always learn something and then I’m eager to try out my new knowledge!

  9. Jackie K says:

Thank you, I always enjoy your organization tools. I am finally getting my inks in order, thanks to you. Everything that I learn regarding inks and their properties will make me a better stamper. Love all your ideas.

  10. Can’t wait to get my hands on the Gina K design ink cubes! they look really good but were out of stock over thanksgiving week!

  11. Christine says:

My favorite ink is (wait for it) Jennifer McGuire Ink OF COURSE!

  12. Oh I have so many favorites over the years for different things. I LOVE versamark for heat embossing-always. I love Versafine Onyx Black and Memento Tuxedo Black as my black favs for coloring stamps. And I LOVE Ranger Distress inks as my favorite colored dye inks…so many pretty colors. Sorry, can’t pick just one. lol

  13. Thank you as always for the in-depth analysis of inks! I learned a lot ☺

  14. Anne Sturgeon says:

Enjoying all this information you are giving. I have to watch things more than once to take it all in. Great job and keep this info coming. Loving it.

  15. Tami B says:

The most wonderful time of the year…..when Jennifer M. does her Favorite Things series. I love pigment inks, and I use Momenta dye inks.

  16. Jean Marmo says:

Thanks for the info! I like Distress inks!

  17. Becs Attwood says:

Thanks for all that information. there are so many options out there for inks that it really helps to have some advice from someone who’s in a position to try out lots of those options. I’m hoping Santa brings me some Distress Oxide inks this year – my attempts to blend with other inks are constantly thwarted by harsh edges so I am so excited to try the Oxides! My favorite inks are definitely the Hero Arts mid-tone shadow inks. They’ve been around since I started stamping, so many gorgeous colors &, like you say, they just never seem to run out or dry up!

  18. Jen says:

Thank you for the valuable info! I really like Altenew’s layering colors, but I’m going to get a Distress ink pad after watching your video!!

  19. Judi H says:

I am new to card making so I have not tried a lot yet. I like the Versamark for heat embossing. I usually use Tim Holtz ink because that is what I started with. I do have the Versafine black also. I have heard good things about the Gina K brand. I would love to try those. After watching your other Favorite Things videos, I just purchased her stamps. They should be arriving any day now. SOOOO EXCITED to get them!!! Thank you for helping us newbies out with all your information!!!!!!!!

  20. ctcisler says:

I look forward to these videos as they are indeed informative and very helpful. I have heard a lot of wonderfully positive reviews regarding Gina K ink and would love to fill my stash with them. Tim Holtz distress inks are another that have an enormous amount of positive reviews as well as a plethora of tutorials & techniques for both original distress and oxide. I’m embarrassed to admit I haven’t any distress ink at all. I fully intend on purchasing all released oxide sets and the others as they become available and additionally purchasing all the original distress in the mini variety. Quite an investment but I do feel a craft supply stash is incomplete without them. I honestly feel so left out seeing all the videos and blog posts demonstrating the distress/distress oxide inks. I’ll bet 8 out of 10 posts are distress/distress oxide related and I’m unable to play along!  Happy Crafting!

  21. Michele W says:

Thanks for all this great info! I feel more comfortable trying new inks when I know they’ve been tested and approved by someone I trust – aka YOU. Thanks, too, for the info about stamp quality. I always look forward to your favorite crafty things videos because they are so full of useful information. Keep up the good work!

  22. I am enjoying playing with the distress oxide inks. So much fun!

  23. Laurie Pickerel says:

Thanks for the video. I love the Distress Oxide inks for creating fun backgrounds.

  24. Janet VanLeeuwen says:

I have always been a fan of the VersaFine Blank Ink. It’s perfect when you’re embossing. Thanks for all your great videos and your stamping and card making inspiration.

  25. Elizabeth topping says:

I’m in love with the Distress Oxide inks! Thanks for your videos…I always learn something or get inspired!

  26. Henriëtte says:

Thank you for this very informative video. I love the series you make and find them very helpful trough out the year when I need something or want more info about craft things.

  27. Thanks for the updated ink video. Its always nice to know what you think about anything in the crafting world!

  28. MandaLJ says:

Now I’m really longing to try Distress Oxide inks!

  29. Sabrinna says:

My Favorite is currently the altenew inks! love that they have them in coordinating sets!

  30. I’m using Stampin’ Up! inks which are awesome – the white is too. Other than that I love the versatility of Versamark and use Versafine black quite a bit. Also, I love all distress inks (oxide and original). It’s just like you said – one ink does not do it all…

  31. Kerrie says:

I only have a few mini ink cubes from the distress line at the moment but I’m loving them!

  32. Mary Kay Ross says:

Thanks for all of these great ink choices. One that I really like is the My Favorite Things black hybrid ink. It works great for when you are using Copic markers. I like it better than the VersaFine Black Onyx ink. Of course, my favorites are the Distress Inks and the Distress Oxide inks. I would love to try the Altenew inks and the Gina K inks. Those look so scrumptious. Thanks for sharing all of these.

  33. Andrea V. says:

I would have to say that the Altenew ink cube sets are my current favorite. Love the inks but REALLY love that they take all the guess work out of color families for those of us that are design challenged! Also loved that you focused on inks that are available in ink cubes. For me, it’s all about space and the ink cubes allow me to have a much larger ink selection in a smaller space. I would love to try the Gina K inks too!
For the space reason, I’m trying to hold off on indulging in the oxide inks until they (fingers crossed…) come out in cubes. Any chance you can use your influence to encourage Tim Holtz on that?? 🙂

  34. Janet Duncan says:

I love distress inks and now the new oxide inks! They blend so well, and are a no-brainer for me! Thanks for sharing your videos–I get so much inspiration!

  35. Marilyn C. Lojek says:

I have various favorite inks depending on the effect I need: VersaMark for embossing, Distress Oxide and original Distress inks for blending, Memento for stamping & using Copics and VersaFine for intricate stamping.
I would like to try the Gina K inks – hope my local store carries it soon.

  36. Nina says:

I love distress oxide inks, however I have some Gina K inks coming soon, so can’t wait to try those!

  37. Lisa Smith says:

Thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge with all of us! You are amazing. Recently I got some of the Altenew Ink cubes so I could try out the multi layer stamping and they made me so happy.

  38. Miriam Prantner says:

Definitely some of my favorite colors noise here. I still need to try the Distress Oxides!

  39. Dcollins says:

I am loving your videos. Although I have only recently found your blog, I’m I’ve gotten so much from it already. Thank you!

  40. Ann says:

Thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge!

  41. karenajo says:

Your videos are always so informative. I use Distress inks most frequently. I have some of the Distress Oxides too, but have not experimented with them a lot yet!

  42. DEVANA L BARNEY says:

I am still getting inks so I really only have the Hero Arts black ink but I love it.

  43. Marjorie Dumontier says:

I’m too much of a newbie to pick one up yet. Thanks for your generosity! [email protected]

  44. Melody Moore says:

I love watching your videos! They are so inspiring and I always learn something new. I have always been a Stampin’ Up! user but have recently been branching out and trying other things. I have the distress inks also. I would love to try Gina K. and the distress oxides. One of these days!

  45. Kathy V. says:

I use lots of inks for a variety of techniques, but VersaFine Onyx black or VersaMark for sentiments find their way onto mos all mt cards. I haven’t tried Gina K yet, but Santa has it on my list!

  46. Julie Hardin says:

I love the gina k. Inks and her beautiful cardstock! I also love the RANGER alcohol inks on the yupo paper! I enjoy your videos so much and have learned so many cool techniques! I love all the cards you do, you have such a creative mind and give me such renewed inspiration. Thank you for sharing with us, Julie

  47. Thanks for sharing this video, I really haven’t varied my inks for years. It is so nice to see how the different inks stamp and the color samples. I have now added a bunch of new inks to my project list over at SSS. Can’t wait to get some and give them a try. Thanks again 🙂

  48. Tracy A says:

Your videos are so informative. Thanks for all you do.

  49. Marina says:

I really like these videos! I don’t use colored inks that often, so no favorit there. But I like the versamark ink and the Versafine black ink. I also like to use the Versafine vintage sepia ink, it is a beautiful brown ink that stamps really crisp.

  50. siobhann says:

Can’t thank you enough for these super informative viddy’s. I love how you manage to cover a group of companies without favouring one over another. Here in sunny South Africa, we pay one HECK of a price for ink and the options are VERY limited. I have purchased a range from USA which is lovely but, after watching this clip, I have a sinking feeling that I may have put a little too much emphasis on price, rather than all round longevity, value for money, range of colour, matching card stock etc, etc. Sigh!!! We live and learn I guess and since our exchange is so utterly a pathetic, one can’t help but err on the side of bottom dollar!! I have been so well informed, that moving forward, a few additional facts will be kept in mind! THANK YOU, always!!
