Love the distress oxide inks! So fun to use.

  2. Hanh says:

Thank you for making (and sometimes having to remake 😜) these videos. So sweet of you to “update” the original video … you are way too kind! I absolutely LOVE 😍 and learn so much from your videos. Thank you! Thank you!
I have not had the luxury of playing with too many inks but out of those that I have tried, I love using Versafine Black Onyx for sentiments and Versamark for embossing. I can totally relate to your comment about how messy Versafine can be if you’re not careful … clumsy crafter here! But Versafine has given me the best results thus far. Would love to try some of your other favorite inks … aahhh, my Christmas wish list! 😜

  3. Donna says:

I am a T. H. kind of girl, and so love the Oxide inks, they blend so well and are super versaital and fun.

  4. Hoosier says:

My favorite ink is Versafine black – gives such a crisp outline. Second is Versamark for the shade on shade look and for embossing. I haven’t tried the oxide inks yet, so would love to win some.

  5. Rufus says:

Versafine for sentiments, so dark and crisp. Then Distress both the original and the Oxide..actually finally acquired Oh yes, Versamark too! They all have their specific uses and have permanent places on my craft desk. I’ve hee Aard other folks say that they love the Gina K and the Altenew, but I haven’t tried them. Thanks for doing your Fav series. I know that it’s gotta be a ton of extra work for you, but it’s appreciated!

  6. sweetmarie says:

Thank you for the opportunity to receive high quality inks and for sharing your “faves” every year.

  7. Bobbie Lathrop says:

Thank you for explaining in such detail about inks. I really never thought about black having so many variations .

  8. Melodie Fairburn says:

My Favorite inks right now are Distress Oxides. Thanks for coming into my home each day to teach me Melodie

  9. Ginger says:

Being new to card making I do not have a favorite ink.

  10. Holly Paplow says:

I have a question for you. You were talking about embossing with white embossing powder if you want a white white instead of the white ink. I have tried every white embossing powder I have found and they have all been off white. What white embossing powder do you recommend. I think you use hero arts white. I have that and it comes out off white. I wonder if I am doing something wrong. Any help you can give me would be appreciated. Thanks!

  11. Rachel HB says:

I love VersaFine onyx the most…but the Hero Arts shadow inks and all the Distress products are near and dear as well!

  12. Mary says:

Hey, your videos are always super. I learn so much from you. Thanks for sharing your ink preferences. I don’t have any of one of the brands you mentioned but they have some nice colors so I will give them a try.

  13. Mary W says:

I love the versatility of Distress Inks and the new Oxides. They are my favorite but also have sets of other inks in order to stamp clear stamp images – PTI, Stazon, and Hero Arts.

  14. Erica Loscalzo says:

I wart try different brands of ink

  15. Jacqueline Bell says:

Hi Jennifer, my favorite inks are VeraMark, Verafine, Gina K, Stampin Up, and Tom Holtz Distress ink. I have to check out Hero Arts white and some of the other inks you mention.

  16. Kathy Carol says:

I had no idea that there was so much difference in black inks. And I learned a lot about distress inks and oxide inks. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge.

  17. Lucille Manos says:

My favorite ink right now are the distress oxides. I love how they blend. Memento for copic coloring, versa fine for sentiments, and unicorn hero arts for white. Thanks for videos love all!

  18. Diane Cramer says:

I also like the Versafine in black and gray. I can’t ignore Versamagic though. And I love Distress ink. I think those would be in my “escape bag”.

  19. Hannah D says:

Thanks for the many hours and thought you put into all of your sharing

  20. Thank you for sharing your experience! I saw your first ink video and I loved it! 😊

  21. Heather L says:

My favorite inks are distress inks. Beyond those, I still get confused by all the different types and when to use each type. I’m off to watch the other videos you linked so I can learn more. Thank you!

  22. scrapinator says:

Wow that’s a tough question since I use different ink for different things. I love my Memento Black ink for Copic coloring so that just stays on my desks at all times, I love my Distress Oxides because well they are just awesome! And I love my Altenew inks for coloring layering because they take the guess work out of it and they are fantastic ink! I also love my Hero Arts Mid-Tone, Soft and Bold colors, oh and my Simon inks! Told you it wasn’t an easy answer 🙂

  23. kmaxwell83 says:

I would have to say that Gina K Inks are my current favorites, they stamp absolutely beautifully and don’t stain my stamps nearly as bad as some of the others do. I also really love Altenew inks too. I LOVE that they do all of the hard work for you by picking the color combos and make their amazing stamp layering sets so easy to use, but I really really wanna try Reverse Confetti. I have been eyeing their inks for a while, because I noticed the unique colors they have to offer. Thanks so much for these videos, they really helped me a lot when I first started stamping and I really enjoy seeing what you consider your favorites of the year!!! Big Hugs!

  24. Elyssa N. says:

I just stocked up on a bunch of Hero Arts inks so I am excited to try them out on some baby announcements I will be making in the near future. 🙂

  25. Dana M says:

I love your Favorite Things videos Jennifer. It is so helpful to get other opinions and tips. I love the Distress Oxide inks, so fun to play with. I also enjoy the Altenew and Distress inks.

  26. Chris Handy says:

I love the Altenew inks. The four colors of ink are great for layering stamps.

  27. susan hatfield says:

My favorite are distress and distress oxides for the versatility. Thank you very much for making these videos. They are very helpful.

  28. Thanks, Jennifer … always enjoy seeing and hearing about your favourite crafty things! My favourite inks … depends on what I’m doing … Versafine for sentiments and detail, Distress Inks for techniques, Memento for general stamping. I’ve yet to try Distress Oxides … they’re so tempting! Anita 🙂

  29. Eve says:

I always use Versafine for black, and I’m very happy with it 🙂 Hero Arts white Unicorn is very nice, too 🙂 I Do like pigment ink but of course, I need to heat set or emboss it.

  30. Deepa Lakshman says:

I love my Stampin Up inks but wish I had them in brighter colors. I love the oxide inks that I have.

  31. smlittler says:

Versafine Onyx Black Ink is definitely my fave for sentiments and other fine line stamping. Always does the job.

  32. I’ve been using the Versafine black for all my black stamping. I find it to be very crisp. But I think I’ll try some of the black inks you have suggested. And if money were no object, (I wish I had your job 😁), I’d get all the different inks.
    Thanks for your videos.

  33. Sharon Brand says:

Thanks for all the info on inks. Distress Oxides are my current favourite!

  34. Jodi C. says:

Thank You again for sharing your knowledge with us! I really have 2 different favorite inks for different reasons. I love Altenew Inks for their beauty and ease when used with layering stamps, having four perfectly matched for layering is wonderful. Then there are Distress Oxides….which you obviously know about. I love Ink blending them for many outcomes, and the water reaction so fun!

  35. Brooke Rector says:

I currently am looking for a great ink pad to buy. Very helpful video! I would love to add some Gina K Ink pads to my collection!

  36. A lot of the stamps I use are fine line ones that require colouring. I tend to use Memento Tuxedo Black on them as it works well with most colouring mediums. Thanks for the video update. Cheers.

  37. MrsIzzy says:

Jennifer, I want to thank you for showing you favorite crafty things videos. I am learning so much from you about card making and the products you use. I have no knowledge of inks at all so you are most helpful. Keep on doing what you do girlie!

  38. Torrie says:

I mostly use distress ink to watercolor with these days. I need to branch out in my inks.

  39. Teresa Doyle says:

This was a very helpful video Jennifer, a good reminder for some things and I learned a few new things. I have never used some of these inks and only recently was able to get some Oxides. I love them, so currently they are my favorites. I would love to have them all some day but at least I have a few basics for now.

  40. Colleen F says:

I love the Distress inks but when I got one Distress Oxide in a kit I couldn’t believe how smooth and creamy it was and now I want all of them too! Thanks for the chance to win!

  41. Becky M says:

I love distress inks because of all the techniques I can do with them – but I really want to try Altenew! Love how it looks and that they have the color families like they do!

  42. Cynthia Cole says:

My favorite ink is Memento Tuxedo Black and Distress Inks.

  43. joy meadows says:

Your videos are topnotch, Jennifer. I always learn something from them. I recently purchased the new alcohol markers for Altenew and was wondering what ink to use. Since I don’t care for Memento black ink, I was happy to see that Hero Arts has an intense black that I will try. Thanks for these video.

  44. Mary Holshouser says:

As a demonstraator for Stampin’ Up, I usually use their inks.
However, i love the Distress Oxide inks and use those a lot
also. The oxide inks are more versatile so I’d say
    they rank at the top.
    thanks for the comparison

  45. carol says:

Versafine Black is my go-to ink – and yes, I, too, have detached the lid! Lawn Fawn and Memento cubes are also part of my collection (not many of either). Would love to try Gina K/Reverse Confetti inks…perhaps Santa will bring me some! Thank you for the informative video!

  46. Joyce Whitten says:

You taught me about all the different types of inks long ago and I have many different brands. After using your swatch system, I soon learned that many colors are the same, just different packaging. However, after trying My Favorite Things hybrid inks, I’m totally sold on their crispness. They stamp clearly like not other. Also, for new different colors, I’ve started using Catherine Pooler’s inks. Thanks, Jennifer, for all your education.

  47. Right now I just bought some mini ink cubes from Altenew and I really liked them. I’m still testing them out. My favorite black ink is the Archival Jet Black ink. My favorite specialty inks are the Distress Oxides! They are fabulous for ink blending. I only have the first set that came out. The newest set is in my Christmas wishlist.

  48. Jody V says:

My favourite is Versafine black and grey. But I hear such good things about Distress Oxide and Gina K inks. It would be great to win some. Thanks.

  49. Amanda Hays says:

I just got the collection of distress oxide inks and I am really loving them!

  50. Joy J. says:

Great video Jennifer! Thanks for making this series. They’re very helpful.
