Many have asked about a craft room tour. I actually shot a video of my old craft room in my old house. And the video will be here soon! I promise. I haven’t had time to share it as it is a big project. But soon…

I have to admit, although I like my supplies to be neat and organised, when I`m crafting it can turn into a bit of a mess! But my favourite organisational tool has always been the mini Distress Ink tins. They are just so darn cute! I really think it makes me reach for more of my inks too.

I’m still figuring out my organizing. Yesterday I would have told you about the organizers I was using, but my things were still just not quite right. Today I bought some more organizers to replace the ones from yesterday and now they are my new favorites. My short boxes that fit into my rolling drawer set! Thanks fir all if your suggestions and help this year. Gotta go. I still have lots of organizing to figure out until I get it just right!

I love having my scrap organized by color. I’m currently using rolling drawer carts and it works for me.

I have a spinner on my desk from Harbor Freight Tools, very industrial looking. Think Tim Holtz for a fraction of the price and more levels of storage space. I like having as many of my supplies at arms reach, and my current desk doesn’t have drawers. My other favorite organizational tool is an app… Evernote. I use it to inventory my stash so I don’t buy the same thing twice, and so I can browse my stamp inventory so much faster than flipping through my stamp pockets when I know I want a certain image or sentiment. I just type what I’m looking for and it will show me all the stamp sets I have that have that image or sentiment. Of course it took a little time to set it up, but I have close to 400 stamp sets and it only took a few days to do. I find this keeps me from buying too many stamp sets of similar images. Before I buy another butterfly (or whatever the latest trend is) stamp set, I look at the ones I have in the app and decide if it different enough to warrant buying it. I keep my ink swatches saved in it too and use it to decide what colors to buy next. I use it for stencils and embossing folders too!

Thank you Jennifer for taking the time to do this set of video’s they are so very helpful. Matter of fact my husband came back here while I was watching your storage one and he said, “So this is the lady that has cost me so much money”. When I see something that will work for me I of course order it lol. I had to share that I thought is was funny. Thanks again Jennifer.

I love this series. Can’t wait to see your new craft rm. My favorite organization tool is the spinners that can hold all sort of tools in compartments. I love one put out by Pampered Chef. I also have one by Recollections, i think. They hold a LOT.

Well, I am fairly new to stamping and card making but I already own a ton of stuff! I just recently made an extra bedroom into my craft room. Just using what I have on hand. I am trying to figure out a good way to store my stamps and dies and I really love the bin idea….Right now my favorite tool is my one storage unit for my inks…..love this and need more! Just having to pace myself because I could buy one of everything I see! Thank you for your talent!

  15. Ria says:

I have a very small space to work with when I craft. A small table in a my bed room. It is vital that I keep my things organized or else all my items will be all over my table. Recently, I found a way I love to store my stamps. I store my stamps in cheque expanding folders. After putting them in storage pockets, I put them into these cheque expanding folders. They are easy to store and you can fit about 7-8 clear stamps sets in one of the folders (I try to find those that are thicker to accommodate more stamp set in one folder) . I can also grab one folder to go if I want to craft outside. It comes it different colours and size so I know which folder is for what kind of stamp.

  16. Marilyn H. says:

I have recently changed over to the Avery elle pockets and I’m loving It! Is so nice that everything is the same size and easier to see.

  17. Linda626 says:

Jennifer, first of all, I thank you for sharing your thoughts and ideas, your organization videos have helped me so much. We have recently moved and I am struggling to utilize every inch of my space. Thank you

  18. Nancy C says:

I really like the Thirty One Traveling Case–so convenient for on-the-go projects.

  19. danemaet says:

Jennifer, I SO admire your organizational skills and ideas! Part of me craves being more organized, and part of me is too busy being creative. Also, because I’m ridiculously thrifty I can’t bring myself to buy all the great tools you show us (I’d rather spend the money on cardmaking supplies!) So I make do with shoeboxes and things I have on hand. But I did find some sleeves that I had that are perfect for die and stamp storage, similar to what you showed us in another video. They’ve been great for all the stamps and dies I’ve been getting at Simon Says Stamp! They’re my favorite tool right now. I’ll get better at being more organized. Thanks for helping with that!

  20. Maria B says:

Recycled shoe boxes are my favorite tool.

  21. Claire Y says:

Thank for sharing your favorite things. I look forward to watching the videos every year.

  22. Erica says:

Love your videos! My favorite organizing tool is my label maker!! I would be lost without it!

  23. Thank you Jennifer for all of the fabulous videos. I now have a really long wish list. My label maker is one of my favourite tools to help organize my craft space.

  24. Cindy Reynoso says:

Hi! I LOVE these videos! So informative and helpful! My favorite organizational tools are my round spinning caddy for tools that sits right on my desk and I also love the Avery Elle Stamp pockets for stamps and dies.
Again, thanks for taking the time to do this series.

  25. LAURA LOVE says:

My favorite Organization product so far have been the fridge bins you suggested for holding your stamp sets. I have been slowly transferring my stamps into storage pockets and then keeping them in these as you suggested. Works amazing and it is CRAZY how many sets you can fit in one bin. I have a TON of stamps so this is working great. Love it!

  26. I follow most of your organizing ways….the Linus bins have been a game changer! I probably refer to my ink color swatch book the most! So I’d say that is my favorite!

  27. Elaine says:

I keep dies in a 4×6 photo album. I cut black magnet sheets to fit the plastic pockets and label what die it is and if it has a coordinating stamp and what book I have it in. The clear stamps are in 3-ring binders and I use a plastic pocket sheet for them with a picture on the front of each as to what stamps are in there. So far I have 3 binders just about full. I keep Christmas items in their own binder. I find this a cheap way to organize and it works for me.

  28. My favourite organization tool is the fridge binz for stamps and dies – I couldn’t live without them now!

  29. tess l says:

I have a small craft space so I organize my crafts in plastic storage cases depend on the seasons/holidays/occasions/purposes. Happy Holidays!

  30. Jo-Anne says:

Totally love these videos! So many great ideas! Using the pockets has really helped me reduce the footprint in my craft area and keeps me organized. The Interdesign bins have taken over my house – LOVE them!!

  31. Amy Kolling says:

I have been using the sequin organizer you mention here for a long time and it is amazing to keep all those sequins organized by color!

  32. samju says:

I would have to say my label maker. I also use clear tab post its when organizing until I can get labels printed.

  33. pamstyle says:

This series has been so incredibly helpful. I appreciate you taking all of the time and effort (extra effort since you aren’t in your new craft room) to put this together for us. Can’t wait to organize my craft room. I am especially excited about that sequin holder. Thank you, Jennifer!

  34. eliza d says:

My favorite organization tool are these clear latching boxes I use to store a lot of my various craft supplies. They might be Sterilite brand? My favorite thing about them is that they come in lots of different sizes but they nest and stack together so you can arrange them in lots of different ways. My second favorite tool are the cardboard boxes I repurpose to use as storage…

  35. Monica W says:

I have loved every part of this series! I like to use ziplock bags in different sizes to organize everything in my craftroom:)

  36. Shelli Saltmeris says:

I just organized all my dies and stamps and could not be HAPPIER with results. You are my ROCK STAR!!

  37. Carol Henderson says:

I am an organize “freak”. I spend more time organizing and cleaning my craft room than I do my entire house. My most used organizational tool is my mini vac by Black and Decker. I don’t know what I would do with out it! I have looked for the Swiffer dusters and can’t find them. If you read these comments, some help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  38. Renee Chilson says:

I love the fridge bins! Can’t get enough of them! 🙂

  39. Lindsay S says:

My favorite organizational tool is my craft storage rolling carts. I have each drawer labeled with its contents, which is super helpful when I have to ask my husband to bring me something from my closet because my hands are full!

  40. Berina Febin says:

I love storing my card stock and papers in sleeves. Thanks for sharing that. Thanks for this video series. I learnt a lot of new products.

  41. Sandy Ginn says:

Thank you for your awesome videos! My favourite organization item is probably my Avery Elle and SSS stamp pockets- they make using my stamps so much easier.

  42. Amy Ames says:

Thank you Jennifer for putting this wonderful series together!!! I’ve enjoyed it very much, and I’ve learned a lot of tips and tricks ? I am very excited to see your craft room video that’s coming!! I’d say one of my favorite organization items is the same box you use for your sequins. It makes such a difference.

  43. Megan says:

I love all your videos. I recently purchased a few Darcie jewelry organizer boxes for my mini stamp pads like the ranger distress spots. Love the pads, hate that they don’t really close. So in the organizer each spot has an ink pad and it’s coordinating foam blender circle. They take up a tad mor space this way, but they are saving my inkpads from randomly opening and drying out,

  44. Kim Potts says:

Jennifer, I so appreciate your videos and especially “favorite things”. I have referred back to them often!

  45. Sylvia says:

Because my desk is a disaster right now, my favorite organization tool is the only one I can see – a small, 3 compartment Intersesign bin (for spice packets?) that holds my two ATG guns (acid free & non acid free) and acrylic blocks.

  46. Susie G says:

I am always looking for ways too organize better, but not spend a lot of money. I really like the Job Ticket Holders. I will be purchasing some of these. I have been looking for something to keep papers together for projects. These look like they will work great for what I need.
I always look forward to these videos by Jennifer, so many great options to try.

  47. Ericka16Ericka16 says:

I think my favorite organization tool is the clear plastic pockets in the various sizes to organize my stamps and dies and then the refrigerator bin you also recommended. But crossing my fingers for a ink pad storage for Christmas! Thanks for all the tips.

  48. Karina D. says:

I love my storage towers in my craft room. They hold a lot, and the front is see through so I can see what is in each drawer. I don’t have a large craft room so I don’t have all the cabinets and drawers I would like, but I make other stuff work for what I have!

  49. Jayell says:

I love the stamp pockets for keeping stamps and dies organised. So simple and effective.

  50. Kay says:

Getting scraps of paper separated by color has been helpful lately.
