Again – please know that you do NOT need a lot of inks! I share many here so maybe you can determine which is best for you. You really only need a handful in the colors you like.

Remember – this list of Favorite Crafty Things may also be used as a gift guide. Feel free to give this link to a loved one… maybe they will take the hint. 😉

My favorite inks are the distress inks.

You’re like a stamping professor! I wish I had this video when I was first shopping for inks. So much helpful information! I mostly use Tsukineko Dew Drops because I like their tiny size (I have a small crafting space) and they stay pretty juicy.

  3. janipoo says:

Thanks so much to YOU and all your suggestions and explaining how (dyes, pigment, distress etc..) all these work especially showing examples. I honestly love what each one works best for and could not choose! It makes crafting so much less time wasted of trial and errors and SO MUCH FUN 🙂 Thanks Jennifer!

  4. Liana S. says:

The Ranger Dye Inks are my favorite. I learned about them from you. I want to try the Ombre inks next.

  5. Katie D says:

My favorite ink is Versamark!!! You could have just this ink, and a black ink, and still be able to make so many amazing cards with embossing powders! I also like the Distress Inks for their uniqueness and versatility.

  6. Eileen Gilmore says:

I like the Distress inks and have some color-box inks also

  7. Patty Pearson says:

I like the analogy about the shoes. That is absolutely correct. You can choose any ink that you prefer but no collection is complete without Distress Inks. I agree completely. They are in a whole different category.

  8. Just one?! If I had to choose 1 color I would go with Apple from Mama Elephant.
BUT I have all the Lawn Fawn inks for dye and all the Mama Elephant for pigment. And, of course, all the Distress. The minis come with me whenever I travel.

  9. Jayell says:

I love the Altenew inks, the quality and the fact that they also come in such cute cubes which colour co-ordinate perfectly. Thanks for this video

  10. Dee says:

I have a few of so many different inks…. I don’t really have a favorite. I like the embossed effect so I quess VersaMark would be the ink I use most often, followed by Distress inks from Ranger. I’ve never tried the kind you are giving away, I would love to see if they could become a favorite.

I have used dye based inks for a while now with the faster drying time. I have used Versa Mark for embossing and an occasional pigment ink. I like the watercolor look and Distress inks do such a nice job. I am willing to try some new inks like Altenew especially with the multiple stamping flowers. The ones I have seen are gorgeous. You showed me the first flowers by altenew and I have been curious to try it, but haven.’t been able to go to the expense as yet. Would love to be a winner.

I have just recently started inking my projects. I love your videos Jennifer because you’ve really helped me learn the difference between pigment and dye inks and which ink to choose when stamping.
My favorite ink right now is the Versamark Watermark inkpad. I absolutely love how sticky it is and that is works well for embossing or doing tone on tone designs. It’s great for making simple or elaborate cards.

  50. J Aukema says:

My favourite inks that I’ve had forever and always go back to are the Dew Drop Brilliance inks. They blend nicely, and give a crisp clear image with most stamps. They do take a bit to dry through. Even after buying a bunch of distress inks,(though I like them too), I still go back to my Brilliance inks.
