Thank you for the great videos! I don’t have a favorite ink yet as I’m pretty new, and haven’t had a chance to try alot of new things. Still learning my way around the different types of inks. Your videos gave me a good starting point.

  13. Maria Wicks says:

Thank you so much for this video Jennifer, it was very informative and I learned a lot from it. I’m just starting out stamping/card making, and dont have many inks yet, so this has helped me out quite a bit in deciding which kind of inks I want to try out. I think i would probably like the Ranger dye inks the best. I like my image to be solid right away or almost right away, because if it has to take time to fill in, I start freaking out if it doesnt look right when I first stamp it, and end up redoing it a zillion times. I’m working on trying to give it some time before I redo it, but it’s a working progress, because I cant help but worry that it wont fill in right, and I’ll have to redo the whole thing again, especially if I go ahead and start working on the rest of the card while waiting on it to fill in all the way. So yea, I’d have to say that Ranger ink sounds like it’d be my favorite.

  14. Enna says:

I love the usual VersaMark and VersaFine and Distress Inks for various purposes. For regular stamping and huge pops of color, I like the Avery Elle dye inks and the Hero Arts dye inks. I have recently tried the VersaMagic pigment inks. LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!

  15. rebecca bell says:

    My favorite is versamark!!

My favorite inks are SSS Dye, MFTS Hybrid, & ME Pigment. 😀

  17. Sammerwhosams says:

Your video is very informative- lots of good information on inks. Great tip to use high quality card stock for better stamp results. I think most people would see improvements with this one change. I love versamark ink for embossing and use Distress for techniques as you mentioned. I’ve also had good results with Momento ink. Thanks for the opportunity.

  18. Andrea D says:

My favorites inks are the Distress Ink Pads, Hero Arts Shadow Ink and Simone Says Stamp Ink Pads.

  19. Karen Rice says:

I have a lot of Stampin’ Up ink pads but am unhappy with the actual pads. I have a few Distress Inks too and enjoy them. I have really been wanting to get some HA ink pads! Thanks for your videos!

I’m just a beginner so all these videos are great for me and I’m learning a lot. Unfortunately, in Spain (where I’m from) we don’t have all this inks available, some of them are not easy to find. Like you, I love Distress Inks and I love Versafine black onix. Thank you for the giveaway!!!!

I own lots of Stampin Up inks, but after I began following your wonderful blogs and videos I have started using distress inks. Seeing you use them with such ease has made it less intimidating for me.

  27. Ginger G. says:

I’m still pretty new to all of this…but I just invested in some Lawn Fawn inks. They are the ones that you recommended in one of your videos, “inks for beginners”. I still want to buy the Ranger ones you recommended – they are on my wish list.

hmm… it depends on what I design and what stamps I use…. often I like to use Distress inks for the background coloring, while I luv memento’s black, I do have all mementos inkpads. Altho it dries in a bit different colors, for some reason I like them., and I have the color swatch so I can see the “dried” color, to make sure that’s the ones I want 🙂

I love distress inks, although I am new to all of these different types of inks. Thank you for sharing!

  39. Melissa M says:

I am very new to card marking. I’ve only made one card so far. But, I watch all your videos and have a booklet to write all the info I feel would help me. Since I am new to card making I really don’t have much inks at all but I have tried distressed inks. I mostly use prismacolor watercolor pencils and a blender pen. I would love to try other inks. I appreciate all your videos and the time you take to make them. They are greatly appreciated and extremely helpful. Thanks again 🙂 and God luck everyone.

  40. I currently don’t have a favorite ink, but I do love Mama Elephant’s Pigment inks for blending and Distress Inks for watercolor techniques. I’m still trying to find a good dye ink that I love for basic stamping!

  41. AnnaLVollmer says:

The Ranger Dye ink! for stamping at least, and a close second for other techniques is Distress Ink. LOVE the little cubes!

  46. Leslie S. says:

I definitely prefer dye ink over pigment. I’m too impatient to let pigment ink dry. And thank you for including the new MFT dye ink in your video. I just bought a couple of their new colors and noticed the pad was different. I was wondering if they changed it and now I know. I so love their new formula so much better than the old one.

  47. Lisa F says:

I have really enjoyed this section of your videos. I have just recentley sold my stampin up dye ink pads (which I loved) but they took up too much room. I have requested the Hero arts shadow ink cubes for Christmas. I hope to love them as much as you say!! I have not be steered wrong by you yet!
