Today I have a technique using
Distress Markers and a Wink of Stella Marker for a fun twist on the resist technique…
I used some fun new stamps by the adorable Suzy Plantamura for My Favorite Things. They are perfect for any coloring technique.
Getting a watercolor look is so easy with
Distress Markers and water. And isn’t it awesome that you can also use the Distress Markers with the Wink of Stella pen? Yay! A shimmery watercolor look is even better.
Clear embossing is a great way to do a resist… allowing you to add a “cloud” of color over a stamped image with
Distress Ink and an Ink Blending Tool.
This sucker is bright… but I felt like the
greeting needed it to be. (And for the record – it isn’t as bright in real life. lol)
Here is a closer look at the
Sunny Days Doodles Celebrate Life stamp set. Adorable. You can get it at My Favorite Things, Simon Says Stamp or Ellen Hutson…
Oh, and in the video I show the new
Tim Holtz Watercolor Paper. IT IS AMAZING. (Yes, it is worth all capitals.) This is my new favorite watercolor paper. Love it. It is thick and white… smooth on one side and textured on the other…
By the way, be sure to check
THIS post at My Favorite Things. They have some fun ways to save. You can also see all of the September release HERE – lots of good stuff!
See you soon.
