Video: New Distress Inks – Pearlized Paper… and GIVEAWAY!

Happy Sunday.  I have a video, cool deal and giveaway today.  First, the video…

I have been wanting to do something with this favorite photo of mine and decided it was time.  The project is very simple, but I figured I would film it so you could see all the new Distress Inks in action.  I used them all in here and they are delicious.  Truly.  (The video shows many other tips.)

020610 Grateful Frame 1
020610 Grateful Frame 3
Supplies: All 12 new Distress Inks – coming soon; Perfect Pearls Perfect Pearl color; Mini Mister; Silhouette (to cut title); Corner Chomper; Heart Punch from EK Success; Tombow Mono Dot Permanent Adhesive; EK Success 3-D Dots foam dots; Silhouette.

BTW, the punch in this video is wonderful – the little heart on the inside is just perfect.  (It seems to be hard to find, but it is in stock HERE.)

I also saw that the might Corner Chomper is in stock again HERE.  Yes, you do need to have this.  Trust me. ๐Ÿ™‚

150565_1000x1000 I also have been getting lots of questions about the new adhesive I love.  Be very careful – many of the Tombow adhesives look alike and have similar names.  But there is only one perfect one.  ๐Ÿ™‚  THIS is it.  (I show it in the video.)

Now… on to the cool offer and giveaway…

  6a00e550ccd8ce88340128775fadcc970c-800wi

The other day, I shared my very-loved personalized stamp for putting on the back of cards.  It turns out a few of you went over and ordered one of your own, so the seller, Karissa of Kiss and Tell Cards, contacted me.  Turns out she is a big sweetheart and is offering 10% off stamp orders through the end of February if you mention “Jennifer McGuire, Ink.”   AND!  She said I could do a few giveaways.  WOOHOO!  So, I am going to do one today.  (Thanks, Karissa!  You know I will be ordering more. ๐Ÿ™‚

So, for a chance to win a personalized stamp of your own, just leave a comment here by Wednesday at 11:59pmEST recommending something to me.  (Movies, product, blog… anything.)  I will then pick a winner who will get to choose from these stamp designs from Kiss and Tell Cards...

Stamp images

I will be giving a couple more of these stamps away in the next week.  I just love them.

Have a great day.

I would like to recommend My Sister’s Keeper if you have not seen that yet. DEFINATELY need a box of Kleenex with that movie…the whole theater was sniffling and crying when my best friend and I went to see it…but now it is probably out in video now. GREAT movie!

I don’t know if I’m late, but I’d like recomend you a movie: Splendor in the grass, and a book: The shadow of the wind (by Carlos Ruiz Zafรณn), this is a beautiful novel wich makes grat descriptions from Barcelona, and it’s a mistery novel too.

  6. Thanks Jennifer. I love your videos and I love your blog. Only wish I could spend more time doing this same stuff! Hm…wonder if I could quit my job and do this full time and still survive. I guess I don’t need to eat “every” day… but wait…that might put a huge damper on my craft budget. Oohhh…I’ll have to do some serious thinking.

I don’t have anything specifically to suggest – except maybe my trick for keeping Stickles ready: I put FunTac on the bottom of the little bottles and stick them to a shelf so the glitter glue is always primed and ready for dispensing. I neglected to show this in my video(s) of my craft room, but I think you might like the tour anyway! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-BvqRCIXzUM (part 1) and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Cme6r6i1Zg (part 2)

The Baxter family stamp made me think of this recommendation–Karen Kingsbury writes several books where the stories center around the Baxter family. I really like the Firstborn series, but their story actually starts in the Redemption series. These stories are good reads; each book makes me laugh and cry. I think you might like them too.

  14. Crystal says:

Love those stamps ….I need the one in the lower right corner because the frame matches my logo on the back of my cards. Ok …a recommendation….I recommend that if you’re making bananna bread do not put too many chocolate chips in – it’ll make it soggy. There you go. ๐Ÿ™‚

I can recommend the movie “It’s Complicated”. Meryl Streep is fantastic but her kitchens are to die for. I loved that there a few scenes that surprised me in a romantic comedy.

Thanks for the chance to win the stamp.

  28. Julie H says:

Jennifer, what a great idea to ask for recommendations! We all get to share with each other too – I can’t wait to check out some of these recommendations. I have a couple to share too… I discovered a product in the art area of any of the local craft stores made by Windsor & Newton called “Iridescent Medium”. You can mix it with your watercolors, but I mostly use to over things…the petals of flowers, highlight certain areas on cards… it’s fun. It just adds a little silver gleam to things. It’s fun! Also, my adult daughter and I are reading a Christian fiction series called the YaDa YaDa Prayer Group (with a sub-title) by Neta Jackson – DELIGHTFUL! There are probably 8 or 9 in the series now and with each one you can’t wait to get the next one. THey are probably available at the library. Sorry this is so long…. but i was excited to share some fun stuff.

  29. Jamie says:

If you haven’t seen kid shoes by See Kai Run, I reccommend them. They are the cutest comfy shoes ever.

There’s nothing I can think of in the stamping line to recommend to you so I’ll just recommend listening to this song about love and life http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uG3EZ8sNOls . This is an oldish song but my son had to learn it in school recently and it just reminded me of how much I love it. Hope you can understand Christy Moore’s strong Irish accent!

  37. Jayne says:
