Sharing and giving away… :)

Hi!

Some holiday cards to share.  These were inspired by cards that my dear Shari Carroll taught at Scrapfest this year.

Now… how about two opportunities to win?

My happy thing is today I received more handmade Halloween cards from our Halloween card exchange. Receiving a card feels so nice. I feel like sending and receiving cards have been lost with everyone being so busy. I now just get party invites via e-vite. So getting a card, let alone a hand-made one feels so wonderful. It’s just like getting a present.

I just ordered a pair of boots for my daughter on Saturday and I came MONDAY!! WOW! Talk about fast!! I was shocked it got here so soon! I was worried when I placed the order that it wouldn’t be here in time for her costume she’s wearing this weekend. So totally made my day!!!

I am loving a new quick and easy recipe we have discovered. Trader Joe’s green tomatilo sauce and chicken breasts! You just pour the sauce over the chicken put in a 350 degree oven covered with foil for 30 minutes and then take off the foil for 20 more. You can even put some cheese on top the last 5-10 minutes. GREAT with rice!

Also I am loving “Citizen Kane”! I love watching it every fall! A great classic movie!

I recently finished an absolutely fabulous book that made me think hard, cry, and reread parts of it after finishing it… The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Sutterfield. If you love books and are part of a family (particularly if you have a sister), I think you will love it! So gothic, so mysterious, so literary, so very, very, very good!
Thanks for offering that great wicker-looking stamp. I’ve never seen one like it!

Love these cards. I saw a video you did (in your PJs, I think lol) where you did a similar card. I made one, but I used not-so-exciting cardstock, so my cards weren’t as cute as yours! πŸ˜‰ How do you make your scallops?

Happy…hmmm…someone sent me a CD yesterday. There’s a specific track on there she wants me to hear. So, my happy thought is that I get to chill out to some new tunes tonight. (The track she wants me to here is called One Child, and it’s by Ernestine Anderson on her Now and Then album from 1993.)

I watched P.S. I love you from the library. Loved it. Hubby fell asleep, I sobbed like a baby. Totally worth staying up late (as long as you don’t develop unrealistic expecations for your hubby.. πŸ˜‰ ).

I scrapbook and I sew…My sewing is what brings in my exta spending money to fund my obsession with scrapbooking and I had all this in one room and it was getting really out of whack messy. My sweet hubby suggested I use our spare quest room (which we never have quests to stay in it) for a sewing room. So Friday night he helped me clean it out, paint it and move all my sewing stuff down…It is so nice to have the 2 spaces seperated. I feel so much more productive… Good stuff!
