I’m back…

…finally!

Thanks for all the kind emails and prayers for Colin.  He is finally on the upswing after being extremely sick.  He is a ton better.  Not 100%, but much better.  So, I am catching up on work and email.

I have a few things to share!

First, a friend emailed me asking me about a project I did last year.  Thought I would share it again in case anyone is looking for teacher gift ideas, etc.  Something fun you can do.  Click HERE for more details and info.

While looking for that project, I ran into a page I did of Colin awhile back.  Don't you love looking at old pages… reminding you how they have grown?  He looks so young in this…  (Click HERE for more info.)

I shared this a few weeks ago – a project I did for Creating Keepsakes.  A few people wanted to know what the inside is like.  On the back of each page, I added a photo collage.  Here are the main pages…

I did these simple cards when I was at a stamping retreat.  Super simple.  (Did I share these already?  Sorry if I did.)  Cuttlebugged cards with Liquid Pearls and stitching.

How about a bit of enabling? :)  I am so very over-the-moon excited about Bazzill's Dotted Swiss cardstock.  It is perfection in a piece of paper.  2peas now carries it.  I bought more than I care to admit. :)  (Click HERE to be linked.)

Anyone local to Cincinnati… I have a class coming up on November 20th at Stamp Your Art Out.  It is a last-minute holiday class with all new projects.  If you are interested, you can contact them at 513.793.4558.

Anyone watch Desperate Housewives?  I'm not a fan of this season yet.  Are you?  I don't like what they are doing with Gabby – overdoing the frumpy housewife thing. We aren't that bad, are we? πŸ™‚

OK… enough randomness for one night.  I will be back tomorrow with more to share and a giveaway. πŸ™‚

  1. Thanks for the teacher gift ideas. I’m always looking for something interesting to make for them.
I totally agree on DH. They are going way overboard with Gaby’s frumpiness. I still watch though. I’m watching Brothers and Sisters right now, relaxing after a long day of painting my master bath.
I’m glad Colin is getting better πŸ™‚

  2. So glad to hear Colin is doing better. It’s hard to think of anything else when your child is so sick! I hope you can relax a bit now you know he will be fine.

  3. Glad to hear Colin is on the mend….as for the Desperate Housewives…not into it yet myself, as for Gaby guessing she is pregnant in real life just not ready to announce yet…as wow did they change her….still looks good though…after the season premiere I predicted its all going to be a dream sequence like they did on Dallas eons ago….(or so I hope) …love the things your shared & glad your back!

  4. I guess on Desparate Housewives when they went five years in the future they decided to let Gabby change especially since they are now somewhat poor. I did not think she could have kids. now she has two. I wish they would have left it the way it was. Linda Gerig

  5. Yay, Colin πŸ™‚ We’re all so glad you feel better, little guy!

Jennifer, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the “one year” page! I definitely want to borrow that idea!!! πŸ™‚

  6. Can’t get interested in Desperate Housewives either. Agree with you on Gabby, over done. The show is not that much fun to watch this season. Glad to hear your son is doing much better.

  7. Great news, I’ve been thinking of your little guy, glad to hear he is on the mend now. And thanks again for your blog…it always gives me a (huge) boost in creativity and inspiration and I can’t wait to get my hands on some of the new swiss dot bazzil, love the cards!

    Hugs πŸ˜€

  8. Jennifer,

So glad to hear Colin is doing better, you must be extremely relieved. Cute layout of his old photos by the way, and he takes such cute pictures. Love all of your creations in today’s post. I especially love the cuttlebug cards. I love simple ideas, those are too cute. Take care, and stay healthy.

  9. Hey, big praises for answered prayers for Colin! Hope he’s 100% again soon. Love the 10 reasons book – what a lovely way to articulate and record how you feel about your family.

  10. So glad to hear that Colin is feeling better.:)

Love your projects, and am over the moon happy about the new Bazzill paper. I hope to get some this week.:)

    As always – TFS!

  11. IΒ΄m glad to hear that your sweet son is better!
IΒ΄m also selfish enough to be happy that you have time to write in your blog again. I check it every day, since you give me so many ideas and are so inspiring!Thank you so very much for that!

  12. Glad to hear your little one is feeling better, I always feel so helpless when my kids are sick. Great cards! I agree, a bit much with Gabby on DH!

  13. Jennifer, im glad you are back and Colin is on the mend. I watch Desp House and im not into it at all…and no we dont look that frumpy or even act that way..lol

  14. SO glad to here that Colin is doing better! You had us all worried.
Great projects! Love the simplicity and how the colours punch in the cuttlebug cards and all the dimension in gifts. Also love the layout of Colin. I might just have to ‘lift’ it. πŸ™‚

  15. SO glad Colin is doing better, Jennifer!

Love all of your projects and I love that Bazzill, too! πŸ˜‰

Oh, and I’m with ya on the Desperate Housewives thing. I’m looking forward to seeing this Sunday’s episode since they’ll show just what all we missed in those 5 years. I’m not really enjoying their story line this season though. πŸ˜‰

  16. Glad to hear Colin is doing much better! I, too, am not too crazy about the new season of Desperate Housewives. I think what was so funny about Gabby was how “spoiled” she was and now they’ve taken that away from her. I don’t like the Susan and Mike divorce story either. Hopefully they will get back together now that he’s moving in across the street!!

  17. I really like the cuttlebugged cards; dotted swiss is one of my favorite embossing folders. Glad your little guy is better, nothing worse than a sick little one.

  18. I am so glad to hear that Colin is feeling better!!!!!! And, I too am not a big fan of where Desperate Housewives is going this year.

  19. So, up until the last 2 weeks, DH has been horrible. Last night I watched the last two shows and the sarcasm was so funny. How about when Mike was all like, “Nothing scarier than a guy coming at ya with jazz hands.” OMG…I almost peed my pants.

  20. glad your little man is feeling better. i also do not like what they are doing with Gabby on DH. i think the best part of her character was the diva in her!

  21. Hi Jennifer….
thanks for the tip on the Bazzill Swiss Dots…I ordered way more than I care to mention myself!
Love your gift ideas and the cute little butterfly cards!
    thanks….

  22. better is good! happy to hear Colin is better…won’t be long til he’s 100% himself. I still haven’t watched Desperate Housewives this season…they’re sitting on the shelf ready to go when I have a minute.
Love the 3-D snowman and tree!

  23. Jennifer

I am glad Colin is recovering.

Great ideas making 3D items on containers and card.

This layout is so cute with photos of his first year. Nice papers too.

I remember seeing this album in CK and thinking how cool it looked. Great stamping on the clear piece too.

I signed up for your class in Nov:-)

    Take Care

  24. I just said the same thing about DH at work today. It is boring this year. The only funny episode was about Juanita eating the birthday cake and then Gaby making her run after the car (hope the $ that child actress is making now will pay for her counseling down the road). My favorite show is The Big Bang Theory! Check it out if you haven’t already!

  25. Glad Colin is getting better.

Is it me or is the link on the layout of him (one year) not working? It takes me to the teacher gifts stuff you posted above it.

Thanks for your inspiration and creativity. I always look forward to opening emial in the morning because i know i have something from you!

  26. Awww! God Bless your little Colin. The power of prayer is amazing!
I love your “one year” layout! Thank you for your continued inspiration, your so blessed with your talent, thanks for always sharing with us!
    Jen

  27. Overjoyed that Colin is on the “upswing”. I love the butterfly cards & the “One Year” page…they change so much in that 1st year!

I’ve never really gotten into “Desperate Housewives”. Did you watch “The Amazing Race”? We like that show.

  28. So glad the little guy is getting better!! Nice to see you back. Love the liquid pearls on the butterflies. You enabled me to get that stuff but then i got stuck on how to use it.
Love the swiss dot too…my Archivers had it last week. had to close my eyes so I wouldn’t buy it all!

  29. Hi Jennifer,
It is so hard when your little one is sick, I am glad to hear he is feeling a bit better. Great to have you back, love all that you shared.
