For white card stock I use the Neenah that you recommend. For color card stock I really like the Simon Says Stamp. Most things I use and love are the things you have recommended. I know you will be honest with your view of a product and if you like I know I probably will too. Thanks for another great video.

  2. April says:

I’ve just started using the Tim Holtz distress collage medium in the last week thanks to your tip! I was nervous because I’ve been using the Ranger Multi Medium. I like the Tim Holtz one – it’s great! I make a lot of pop up cards (Lawn Fawn) and it works strongly, just as well as the Multi Medium Matte.

Thank you for another great tip!

  3. Judy says:

I use Neenah Classic Crest 80lb for the card front and 110lb of another brand for card bases. I totally agree with you about how important it is to use good quality card stock! My go to adhesive is the Tombow Dot adhesive or Multi Medium Matte.

  4. Cindy G says:

We have similar taste in cardstock — my favs are MFT, Reverse Confetti, Lawn Fawn, & Gina K. I use the white cardstock in these lines for card bases. Recently, I’ve been using Dick Blick bristol smooth for stampimg and copic coloring, and have been pleased with the results. Adhesives have been a struggle. I haven’t had much success with any brand of tape-runner; the “permanent” adhesive hasn’t been permanent for me. I now use Art Glitter glue (love it) and/or Be Creative tape for almost everthing. Art Glitter glue is amazing–it dries quickly but you do have some initial wiggle room, a little goes a long way, it dries clear matte, everything holds, and it never warps the paper!

  5. JmB says:

Thank you for this video showing your faves. Very helpful. I like stamping on whisper white from Stampin Up, but have yet to find a good, solid paper for card bases. Trying out Catherine Pooler’s now. Neenah classic crest is really pricey, but may have to try it. I just got Altenew’s tape runner and really like it for a dry adhesive. Thanks again. I know it’s a lot of work to put these together.

  6. Judy says:

I use the ATG gun and Art Glitter Glue. I have gotten some Nana cardstock but I like the 110 at either Michaels or Wal-mart.

  7. Heather Nelson says:

Thank you for this video! It is very helpful. I like Whisper White from Stampin Up, but have yet to find a good, solid paper for card bases. I’ve been thinking about Neenah classic crest, but it is really pricey. I may have to try it.

    1. Heather Nelson says:

I use Tombow’s tape runner the most.

  8. Debbie Meyer says:

I’m mainly a Scrapbooker but just recently have started to dabble in card making. I use my ATG gun for adhesive. For Scrapbooking I mainly use Bazzill cardstock but have put in an order for Neenah to use my colored pencils and Gamsol.

  9. Anne-J. says:

The glue I use the most is a liquid glue from a norwegian craft store (Panokitt Quick Glue), but I have recently ordered the Kokuyo dot liner and I am excited to try it out. My favorite paper is the HP Colour Laser 250gsm.

  10. Dana M says:

I use Neenah Solar White and Stampin’ Up cardstock the most. I like that the Stampin’ Up cardstock coordinates with their ink colors. I have been looking at expanding to another line with coordinating ink and paper to expand my color choices, still researching that. My favorite adhesive is the Scotch adhesive dot roller (little red one). I like the size of the applicator and that adhesive dots are somewhat repositionable and can be rubbed away easily.

  11. Marlene O. says:

Your videos are so well crafted and informative. I feel strongly about supporting locally owned craft shops and find that they stock good quality papers and adhesives. I buy the heavy Neena card stock at a local stationary store and totally agree with you that the heavy weight is much superior for card bases.

  12. Another wonderful post, Jennifer! My faves are Kokuyo adhesive and PTI Select White cardstock. For colored cardstock, I prefer MFT or SSS.
Thank you so much for taking the time to provide all of this info to us, and for the links to the supplies. Also, thank you for the coupon codes. Your generosity is amazing, and so very appreciated throughout the year…Thank You!

  13. Leilyn says:

I love to use tombow multi glue. It sticks really quickly and a lot goes a long way.

  14. Susan Pezza says:

I use Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb for my crafting and then use MFT and SSS and sometimes Neenah Desert Storm 110lb for my bases. As for adhesives I have several as most people do. I have my ATG gun since I’m also a scrapbooker and need to get the most for my money in my adhesive. I also use the Kokuyo for some cardmaking since I’m unsure like you, LOL!! I use the Be Creative Tape as well and love it for lots of things since it’s so strong. I also use the Art Glitter Designer Liquid Glue Dries Clear with the precision tip and LOVE it! I can’t say enough good things about this glue. It dries fast and clear and holds up very well! I’ve tried a lot of glues over the years crafting and haven’t found anything that compares to this glue! Thanks for another great video!

  15. LKR says:

I have been using Recollections and some Bazzill cardstock. I recently invested in the Neenah but haven’t had much chance to use it yet. My favorite adhesive is Ranger matte medium. Thanks so much for all of your videos they are informative and inspiring!!

  16. Thanks, Jennifer … great recommendations, as ever! I use 300 gsm cardstock for bases and OLCs (some smooth, some linen textured) and 240 gsm for adding panels and for die cutting … they’re mostly locally sourced. Adhesives … ATG gun and Ranger Multi Medium Matte … I plan to give the Collage Medium a try on my next restock! Anita 🙂

  17. Robyn - Autism Journey says:

Thank you for sharing this. So many great tips. I’m a beginner so I’m still playing with papers. Lately I have been using Bristol smooth cardstock for my base because it is so sturdy. I also like to blend inks on it. As for adhesive I use a mix of liquid and dry on most of my projects. I like the clear(aqua) tom bow and the Elizabeth craft designs double sided tape. Again, thanks, I can only imagine how much time you spent on this video. I really appreciate that.

  18. Erin Mckenzie-christensen says:

I am in austra;lia so its harder to get everything! So my favorite cardstock for cardbases is 300gsm (about 100 pound or slightly more than this) from a local store they cut their own cardstock so the brand is blue edge crafts and thats also the name of the shop. However i also use neenah classic crest ive recently bought MFT cardstock but the package has not come yet Im also trying out lawn fawn as well but that order hasnt come yet either (from SSS) So i am trying out everything to see what I like the best! Blue edge crafts is local but doesnt have enough colours to choose from so i bought colors that were in between what they were selling they also sell different weights from 200gsm upwards (i think this is approx 80 pound)
Adhesive my favorite is sookwang tape (be creative tape) I have the 6 inch roll down to 3mm in about 3 or 4 sizes in between! I also use full ahesive sheets that are A4 size I think they are universal crafts brand or something. These are very strong but way cheaper than the sookwang tape. I use this when i need to cut out lots of stuff with adhesive on the back.
I also wanted to say thank you for the videos cos i love your channel and have learnt heaps from it.

  19. Stef Perry says:

Hi Jennifer, thanks for your annual series of your favorite crafty things, it is always so informative! I have converted to using Neenah Classic Crest Solar White in both the 80# and 110# in the last year and LOVE it! I have also begun buying and using SSS colored card stock which I love because it is 100# cover weight and in beautiful colors. I also use Strathmore Bristol a ton for ink blending. For adhesives I really like repositionable types but the only one I found that sticks well is Dotto. I have also recently started using the Altenew tape runner. Love Be Creative double sided tape as well as Ranger Multi Mat Medium. I have a love/hate relationship with Glossy Accents as I can’t seem to keep any applicator nosal clear enough to keep it from permanently gluing itself closed. Any proven tips you have on that would be so appreciated!

  20. Arianna Barbara says:

Hi dear Jennifer, I love this series of your favorite crafty things! Thanks for sharing!!!
I like SSS cardstock and all Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L’s items!

  21. Heather Jacobs says:

I use Alene’s glue and love ❤️ it! Thanks for sharing!

  22. Jennifer, I have loved your favorite crafty things series this year. I have purchased so many of these items over the year after watching your videos. My fav? The Teflon bone folder and the jewel picker. Silly right? Things items are the bomb. Thank you for giving of yourself all year. Have a wonderful holiday.

  23. I mainly use PTI cardstock or other 110 lb. cardstock from Michaels. For adhesive, I love good old Scotch Double Sided tape, Scotch 3M foam tape, Scrappy Glue, Glossy Accents, and Scor-Tape. I love that Quilled Creations Precision Tip Bottle for my glue now. I’ve turned to glue much more often than before because I have control with it!

  24. Norma Price says:

Thank you for your video. I use most of the items that you demonstrated. I order a lot of Gina K products but haven’t tried her cardstock or envelopes. I will definitely try it. I use a the Neenah cardstock probably on every project. I love it!

  25. Karen L. says:

Thank you for another very helpful video! I have learned so much from you. So grateful for everything you do for us.

    1. Karen L. says:

Ooops! I forgot to mention my favorite adhesive and cardstock. I usually reach for Tombow mono multi liquid glue. As far as cardstock, I frequently use colored cardstock from Hobby Lobby.

  26. Janet Trapp says:

I use Neenah and ATG gun! Thanks for all the suggestions!💕God bless

  27. I’ve been using the Gina K base weight in both white and ivory. I like the fact that I have a choice in color. Sometimes an elegant card looks best in ivory.
Thanks for all of your reviews.

  28. I love your suggestions! I really noticed the difference in the Neenah cardstock and have had a ream cut by my local FedEx so it’s always ready to be the base of my cards – a tip you gave last year I think. I really enjoy your videos and learning from you – especially the on line card classes, it’s such a pleasure to follow you!! Thank you for all the time you put into helping others!!

  29. Karen Piermarini says:

Bought some Neenah after watching your favorites last year, I do tend to hoard it since it was pricey.
For adhesive I use year and tape, ATG tape and Tomboy glue.

  30. Laura Buehler says:

I started using the Neenah solar white cardstock that you recommended last year & that is the one I use the most. I use a lot of different adhesives, but I really like the tape runners that have a lot in them so I don’t have to refill or replace them so often. I absolutely love handmade paper, and mulberry paper is so beautiful because there are normally little flecks and fibers that are visible in the paper.

  31. Thank you for creating these “My Favorite Things” video series. They are very helpful for beginners and even for those of us who have been crafting for years, but haven’t had success with different types of papers or adhesives. My go to paper is the Neenah White Cardstock 110 lb, which is the only one I get locally. The adhesive I’m currently trying out is the Ad-Tech Permanent Crafter’s Tape. Until now, it has been great. Thanks for the chance to win!

  32. Siobhann Bakke says:

This is such an informative series – perfect for those wanting a thorough overview of the best options available. I have collected most of the supplies I have based on what you have recommended. There are a good few new options that have been placed on the have to have / neeeeeed list so thank you for sharing. I know if it has been recommended by you, I can’t go wrong.

  33. Larkin says:

Thank you for your hard work and the wealth of information, Jennifer. Also, your generosity in donating prizes is much appreciated. I just started card making, so right now I’m using up my old stash of cardstock from my former scrapbooking hobby. I know the stash won’t last forever, though, so I want to find a good source of new cardstock.

  34. Sue Fisher says:

Thanks for another fantastic video, Jennifer!

My favourite adhesives are the Kokuyo Dotliner (I can only get the 16m length here but it fits nicely in my hand) and Ranger Multi Medium Matte. Guess where I learned about both of those from! 😀 I also like double-sided tape but haven’t found Be Creative where I am; I can’t remember the brand that I have but it’s common in Australia and pretty good.

I use both A4 and US/Letter/8.5×11 cardstock. For A4 I like Stampin’ Up!’s Thick Whisper White, and I like the Neenah Classic Crest Solar White that you recommended too for the US size. For coloured cardstock I like the Simon Says Stamp and Altenew versions, even though they’re both a bit of a pain to get to Australia. The thickness/heavy weight really makes a difference.

  35. barbmac says:

I have just started using Neenah Class Crest 110 cardstock but have found Spectrum Noir cardstock to be a good multi use cardstock, Altenew cardstocks, Tim Holtz Woodgrain Watercolor cardstock, Simon Says and Crafter’s Companion Shimmer cardstock are all ones that I use regularly!
Thank you for your overview of your favorites!

  36. Adele Holcomb says:

Lately I’ve been using the PaperTrey Ink line of cardstock, which also matches their inks. I also use a broad variety of adhesives depending on what I’m doing. Tombow tape runner and liquid. Ranger Multi Medium. Love the Be Creative tape, and I treated myself to the giant roll of 3M dimensional tape.
Thanks for these great videos. I often end up choosing products you’ve recommended, and I’ve never been disappointed!

  37. Sue McRae says:

I use my ATG and have started using Tonic Studios white glue . I love all sorts of card stock from Papertrey Ink, Simon Says Stamp, Gina K and Hero Art but for white card stock it’s always Neenah.

  38. Carolann81 says:

I have used the 110# Neenah index didn’t know there was a difference now I’m so upset I can’t afford another pack and I did all my Christmas cards in that and some in the Gina K once I got the kit…so upset😢

  39. Tania K says:

I’m still searching for a good cardstock and being in Canada the large package of Neenah Classic Crest is just so expensive! I will have to try a small package and see how that goes. Adhesive is my ATG or Ranger Multi Matte but I’m wondering what the difference is in the collage medium you’ve been using lately… I may have to give it a try! And the Gina K cardstock and matching envelopes have just managed to get on my wish list. Beautiful colours!

  40. FeM says:

I use the Be Creative tape the most and Tombow multi glue. I’ll have to try the cardstocks you’ve recommended.

  41. Kit A says:

I use some GP cardstock that is pretty good. I really like Neenah Solar but it can be expensive. I like Bristol paper too. I use a tombow mono tape runner, mono tombow liquid and ranger matte medium.

  42. Natasha Cummins says:

I look forward to this series each year. Thank you so much for sharing your picks. I’m often inspired to try a product I wouldn’t otherwise have tried. Nina Solar White is my go to card stock after watching your videos. For adhesives, I use a tomboy runner and multi media adhesive

  43. Susan T says:

I like tomboy tape runner. I use papertrey paper. Thanks as always sharing your favorites. You rock.

  44. Dorothy says:

Thank you for your wonderful reviews and videos. I use either Neenah Solar White 80 lb and 110, or Stampin’ Up! Whisper White both regular and thick. For glue, I use the Kokuyo Dotliner and Tombow liquid glue (green and white bottle).

  45. Sarah Nelson says:

I’ve just recently gotten into card making so I didn’t know at first what to buy so unfortunately I don’t have very good paper yet, but I did just buy some skor tape which was so much easier to use while making my Christmas cards.

  46. Selene says:

Thanks, Jennifer! I really enjoy watching all your videos. I also like the Koyuko adhesive – I like that it includes so much in one refill (which means it lasts longer), and I love the dots.

  47. Gibboney Vicki says:

My favorite adhesive is 1/2″ tape in my ATG gun. I go through tons of it.

  48. Della says:

Thank you for all the great information . I know you put a lot of time into the videos I’ve learned a lot and get great inspiration from them.

  49. For color card stock I use mostly Gina K. Designs. I love the quality and beautiful colors of her card stock.

  50. Rocksdebalina says:

I use scrappy glue the most, but I definitely need to try a new fine tip applicator because the one I have been using brakes all the time. I also like my EK Tools Herma repositionable tape runner and my Teresa Collins permanent tape runner. Loving the Neenah Classic 110 card stock. Tried it at your recommendation.
