  1. I have Stampin Up! ink and like those; however, I am expanding my collection. I also like using the Distress Inks. I use chalk ink for a subtle look. I just ordered Altenew mini ink cubes and looking forward to trying them out.

  2. My go to black is Archival but want to try the HA black to see if I like it better. Just purchased a set of Altnew cubes and can’t wait to play with them. My first inks were the Distress large pads (actually tried to use them like regular dye inks and got frustrated with the results) and almost every card I make has Distress ink on it somewhere – love them!

  3. I love distress inks, sooooo many things you can do with them! I’d love to try more brands and types of inks. On my shopping wishlists!

  4. Jennifer, thanks so much for taking the time to share all of this info – it was a lot! I started with SU inks but have transitioned to Gina K & Memento for use with alcohol markers. I have purchased re-inkers for the SU stamp pads as they dried out, but the Gina K have not (I’ve had them over 3 years). The only reason I bought some was to do a technique shown on the videos. I absolutely love your comparison to shoes – it makes so much sense! I am going to have to do some branching out.

  5. As for inks, I actually only tried the mini distress inks so far and I really enjoy them with the blending tool.

  6. Hands down, Versafine black -crispest, darkest black. The two color lines I have the most of is Distress (all) and Hero Arts but I’ve got bits & pieces of many others too. Not that I “need” any more ink pads but I think I’m going to try Ranger next & get more Lawn Fawn – that Lobster red is calling to me.

  7. I don’t really know much about inks, I have a mix of different brands and types that I got on sale or used, but I am now getting deeper into it and I love the availability of many cubes that can be found nowadays. I can purchase a few to try them out without breaking the bank.

  8. I have been stamping for awhile and remember when there weren’t so many ink choices. Now with all the choices it is hard to choose. This is where you come in with lots of great advice. Right now I am using Momento Tuxedo Black. I think I will try out some of your suggestions.

  9. I have alot of CTMH ink and I am in the process of changing. I am not thrilled with them. I have a few color box ink pads and I like those. I am just starting so i am looking for advise.

  10. My favorite inks is the Oxide Distress Inks by Tim Holtz, but I am definitely going to try the Hero Art Intense Black
