I love to color with the Clean Color Zig markers and adding the Wink of Stella is a great idea– can’t wait to try it! Thank you for all the tips on markers, color pencils, and the differences in the papers.

  3. Gail L. says:

Thanks for the great review. I don’t have the Tombow markers; instead, I purchased the Zig Art and Graphic twin markers. I hope they work out like the Tombows.

  4. Iliana Ramirez says:

I am just starting up my collection so I don’t really have much to choose from. but do far my favorite coloring method is distress inks. I use them with my paint brushes for no line coloring. I also use them in combination with posted tape and ink blenders.

  5. audrey says:

my favs coloring is with copics and zigs – they are awesome!

  6. Enna says:

Lately, I’ve been obsessed with doing watercolor washes with Distress Reinkers & finishing with a heavy mist & droplets of Shimmer Spritz. I’ve also been finding that, since I’ve gone back to the Bristol Smooth for light watercoloring, I’m really enjoying the Zig Clean Brush Markers with the Wink of Stella or Spectrum Noir brush markers. And, of course, they look best when the color is then covered with another heavy coat of Wink of Stella or Spectrum Noir Clear! Oh, and my Sakura Gelly Roll clear sparkle is also often used as a top coat in my craft room!

  7. Lindsey says:

I have two equal favourites – I love my colored pencils for bigger images then I use mineral spirits or gamsol with a paper stump to blend. I also love gel pens for smaller items. I’m really into coloring at the moment it’s very relaxing!

  8. Linda F says:

I love all kinds of colouring. When at home the copics are my favourite but when I’m on the go I take some distress pens and a waterbrush and do watercolouring. Thank you the run down of your favourites

  9. Gerrina says:

My favorite colouring way is Distress Inks and a watherbrush! Started with it when I only stamped 1 year, but now, while stamping 6 years I get compliments for my colouring; something I never thought would be possible!
I must say that I like to stamp first and like colouring as second…
And my verry old Caran D’Ache colorpencils (I have them since I was 12 or so) and the much newer Prismacolor premierepencils are great if I want to keep a softer look or on dark cardstock.
For Mixed Media I go to Caran D’Ache Neocolour II; they work even better than the Faber Castel Gelatos!
Funny that I started not wanting to colour and now find it so relaxing!
    Thanks for showing your favo’s!

  10. Caro A says:

after watching your videos, I wanted to try the clear wink of stella. I tried it with some watercolor pencils and wow, the results are gorgeous! it is so easy to use, I love it! I want to try the spectrum noir too. another thing I use a lot are distress inks as watercolors. those are my favorite coloring methods, simple watercolors that bring joy and color to my life.

  18. Kathy D says:

Gosh, asking for another favorite! I have been crafting for a while, so I have collected some of each of the products mentioned. I don’t have a favorite, it just depends on the project I am working on.

I like coloured pencils, as they are more forgiving, but I haven’t really used them much on cards (I tend to just stamp). Love colouring books though!

I love copic! I started out with Zig but recently tried copics and love it. I kept buying new colours. I use copics with Spectra noir paper for alcoholic markers. In my country, local crafts store don’t sell Neenah.

My favorite coloring tool is probably my Copics, but Prismacolor pencils would be a close second!

I am terrible at coloring. I love copics and zigs but have no skills. My distress cubes give me the best results with my rudimentary skills.

  31. Michelle Montemurro says:

Hi, I just opened some Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens in colors and love them. I have used the clear before, but not all the colors. Love them!

  32. Lori Staggs says:

I am new to Copics, but I am enjoying the learning process. I love bright colors, so the Zigs & Tombows are both winners! Thanks Jennifer!

  33. Diane says:

My favorite colouring method is with Copic markers. Thanks for sharing another informative video.

  34. BunnyD says:

Picking a favourite is hard as it depends on what I’m colouring. I’ve been stocking up on Copics every time they go on sale and I have been using them the most lately to practice. I use Prismacolour Premier pencils alone or with my Copics and I use Windsor and Newton watercolours. I’d love to try the Zig Brush markers. I think they would be great to travel with. I just started to collect the Tim Holtz mini distress inks to try painting with. I’ve used his browns for years for distressing.

  35. Judy Unnone says:

My favorite coloring method has been the alcohol markers lately. Just loving them. Love these videos btw soooo helpful.

  44. BentheDK says:

My favorite coloring method is Distress inks used as watercolors. It took me a while to get into this because I don’t always get the result I’m hoping for. But I am accepting that I’m an amateur and I’m learning as I go.

  45. Karen Walker says:

Watercolors probably come first, but Copic markers are close behind. Just recently, I started using my Tombow markers again, and love them as well. Thanks for the great videos!
