I purchased a set of Prismacolor pencils and I’ve been practicing with them. I really enjoy using them but I’m not an artist so my results are limited. Thank you for this video. I’ve been wanting some markers and I wasn’t sure which ones to start with. Your video is very helpful.

  3. karenajo says:

I am not very good at coloring, so appreciated your video. The information about the cardstock is very helpful. When I do color, I use colored pencils or watercolor pencils.

I use inexpensive colored pencils and Gamsol. I like the results. My dream is to one day own a full set of Primsacolor pencils. I’ve been wanting to give watercolor a serious try, I have some Distress Inks now, and I will pull them out and try painting with them – more colors are also going on my Christmas List.

  36. Michelle Simone says:

I love to color but seem to color challenged when it comes to crafting. I’ve had the best luck with Zig Clean Color Markers.

  37. Jennifer says:

Thanks for all the tips Jennifer! I have the Prismas on my wish list this year. I hope Santa pulls through!

  38. Milene Tiberius says:

I have recently picked up some watercoloring pencils as well as Prismacolor pencils, so I’ve been spending a good amount of time practing with those. I also love distress inks! I only have a few colors so far and I was hoping to be able to mix them, but they don’t seem to work well when mixed. When the paper dries they get sort of splotchy and you can see the different colors that were mixed. I guess that means I need more color options 🙂 This series have been extremely helpful, though, and I thank you for that! ❤️

  39. Tona says:

I like coloring with alcohol markers as well as watercolor pencils. I am looking for a good set of regular colored pencils though.

  40. Sherrieaj says:

I was hoping you would do another Favorite series this year! Dreams do come true 🙂 My favorite items to color with is Distressed Inks and I have the entire set of Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers. I love watching all of your videos. Thanks Jennifer for being such a good teacher to us all!

  41. jaycJayceeCoopereeCooper says:

I use the Prismacolor Pencils. I’ve been working with the Zig Clean Brush Markers but am having trouble with the blending. I need to experiment with papers, I guess. Thanks for the videos.

  42. Maril says:

Jennifer, as always, I really enjoyed your video. Like you, I struggle with water coloring. I’ll keep trying, but have found the best luck in coloring with the use of Prisma wax pencils using Gamsol (odorless mineral spirits) and paper stumps to blend and shade. At your suggestion, I’ll give Distress inks a try for water coloring. I agree so much with you that Distress inks are a must-have item in one’s crafting supplies. I use them very often with a blending tool to apply color to the edges of my stamped pieces.
Thanks for helping us all learn! Maril

  43. Stacy V says:

I don’t own any copics nor zigs nor prismacolour pencils, but I do have my TH mini distress inks! I love using them to water-colour and just blend down some vibrant colour!

  44. Nancy Stott says:

My favorite coloring method is using Distress Ink for watercoloring. I also like my Zig Clean Color markers and use them often. I learned about using them with Bristol paper recently and that is a great tip. Thanks!

  45. Karen B. says:

    Definitely copic markers. 🙂

  46. Brenda says:

So far, I like the Copics. I guess because I learned to use them while attending tech school for interior design. I usually used them in combination with the Prismacolor pencils. You can get very realistic results with both. I would, however, like to purchase the Tombow’s just because they seem like a good overall product. I am waiting on some Spectrum Noir Aqua’s that I just found at half price…we’ll see. Thanks for the wonderful information.

  47. Krista hubbard says:

    I love my prismas!!

  48. Carole says:

Gosh if you had asked me this before May 15th this year I could have given you a list of my favourite colouring products and how I’ve been using them. However, on May 15th, our complex was completely destroyed by fire and we lost everything as did others who lived in our condominium. Sadly it was arson and the culprits have yet to be found. Just the other day I picked up some Prismacolor Premier Pencils at Staples, have yet to use them until I replace some of my supplies. That dear Jennifer is about all I can share with you today

  49. Patt H. says:

Great video, Jennifer! Thanks again for sharing all the great tips. I use distress inks most of the time for watercoloring & use my Derwent pencils also. I have some Peerless watercolors but need to practice more with those. Love the colored pencils on Kraft!

  50. JulieC says:

Love my copics though I am no pro!
