Lately, my fave way to color is my zig clean color markers. I would love to try those noir sparkle pens and the shimmer spritz as well.

As. always, very helpful advice. I was excited to see another crafty things series to come out. I have rewatched some older ones on occasion and they are still relevant. Thanks for taking the time to make these.

I love to use my colored pencils and gamsol, but also love my distress inks! I can control the pencils better than my copic markers! Thanks for another great video! My 4 year old son loves to watch them with me too!

I love the zig clean color brush markers, especially after seeing your technique videos. They are just so easy to colour with.

    Hi Jennifer,
More to learn about!!! I just bought the TomBow brush pens and now I’m so excited to use them. I love coloring with Copics but I am still learning how to blend and get dimension. Thank you for making this series!!!

I’m not very good at colouring, and have been practicing with Copics. I just purchased the Zig markers, and still have to try them out. Thank you for a great series and for the chance to win!

  14. Colleen H says:

I still love my copic’s because I have had more practice with them. But I am learning how to water color with my zig’s and distress inks too and I really am liking that as well.

  15. Karen Weingartner says:

    I really love Copics!

  16. Stephanie M says:

Just this year I started collecting mini distress inks, so that’s my go to for blending and watercoloring. BUT, I recently purchased a set a Prismacolor Pencils and a set of the Zig markers. I’l be spending my Thanksgiving holiday trying techniques. Thanks again for your videos.

  17. Kayleen says:

I like using the distress inks for coloring

  18. Tess888 says:

Very helpful information! Thank you. I too love distress inks coloring! ?

  19. Jackie P. says:

I’m new to colouring stamped images but love the finished results of what I see when copics are used. I have eye issues though so have trouble with the fine details of staying in the lines loĺ. What I have done is watercolouring using the stamping up aqua painter and I really enjoy doing that and I also am usually satisfied with my end result.

  20. Dana W says:

My favorite coloring is split between my Spectrum Noir Markers and my Distress Markers!!

  21. Samantha L. says:

Thank you for continuing to do these videos every year, Jennifer! I’m sure they are a lot of work, but I always look forward to them. Yet another bright part of the Holiday Season. My favorite method of coloring is watercolor.

  22. Another great video, Jennifer! I do consider myself beyond beginner with coloring (I come from a fine art background), but your videos are always informative, so I did learn some new things with this. 🙂 I think my favorite coloring instrument currently is Inktense pencils. I love how they can be layered, since they are permanent when you have wet the color and let it dry. Also, despite the name, you can even get really subtle colors & shading with them. I’m starting to branch out into Prismacolors & the Zig Clean Color markers, too, though. Thanks so much for sharing your wisdom! 🙂 ~ Andrea

  23. Naghma says:

I’ve only used Spectrum Noir markers for coloring. Thank you!

  24. Ingeborg says:

My fav are Copics, watercolor (daniel smith) and colorpencils!
    Love your vid’s!

  25. I find that I go back and forth between my Copics and my Inktense water color pencils!

  26. Teri W says:

Thanks for everything you do. Use a variety of coloring tools except Copics. I am afraid to open the door. I use peerless, watercolor pencils, prisms pencils, distress ink. Love them all!,,

  27. 5911countess says:

I ALWAYS learn new things when you do your Favourite Things and loved your recommendations on what paper to use for colouring with markers — Tombow was my first pick over 16 years ago and is still my go-to marker for blending when colouring stamping or peel-offs/stickers.

  28. Lizzie T says:

I color most with the Prismacolor color pencils but I really want to get the ZIG markers to color with also (along with other techniques) – they are on my wish list and I loved watching your other videos on those markers!

  29. Lee says:

Right now my favorite method is using my prismacolor pencils but I have so much to learn and watching you really helps. I have some that are mere nubs (the best Christmas red and green ones) and some I don’t use that often. I bought gamsol but still haven’t even tried it. : )

  30. Debbie Eslinger says:

I have been working on increasing my Copic Markers so at this time is my favorite. I have got watercolors Mission Gold and slowly learning how to watercolor. Tombow markers are on my wish list

  31. Copic Markers are still my favorite, but I also LOVE Distress inks and use them all the time!

  32. Naama says:

I keep changing, but at the moment I seem to be on a Distress inks coloring binge 🙂 I love Tombow markers too, though, they’re great for techniques as well. I haven’t tried copics, but I’m using a different brand of alcohol based markers – BrushMarkers by Winsor & Newton, they have a great brush tip and lovely vibrant colors.

  33. Diane Phillips says:

I usually color with pencils and blend with gamsol mineral spirits. What a great tip using a white pencil first on dark cardstock, I will be trying that soon. Thanks again for sharing.

  34. Melissa Friedrich says:

I really love coloring with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, but lately I’ve also been using my Prismacolor pencils on Kraft card stock, love that look! Thanks for the awesome video, lots of tips and info for my Santa wishlist.

  35. Diane Bakehouse says:

I’m not an experienced colorer but I have had success with distress inks. I even surprised myself. I also love to use the sparkle pens with distress inks. That was fun and surprising , too.

  36. Brittany Price says:

My favorite and only method of coloring are the Zig Clean Color real brush markers! They’re cheap and when you’re in college you must do what you can! I would love to be able to delve into the world of copics, but alas my wallet does not allow for that!

  37. mroberts3 says:

My current favorites are the Zig Clean Color brushes – so easy to use and lovely to look at! I also really like the Distress Inks. I just got my first set of Copics, so I’m sure they’ll be a favorite soon, too.

  38. DebiB says:

I really like colored pencils. I use Col-erase by prismacolor with blending tortillons. I hadn’t used the white as you demonstrated in the video, I am going to try it with the Col-erase and see if it works the same.

  39. Hi Jennifer,

I LOVE my copics, but recently I bought the Spectrum Noir and I ADORE them, the colors are fantastic and I usually blend both together. Thanks for all the work and effort that you have placed with these videos in order to help us!
    And the giveaways are STUPENDOUS!
    Cariños,
    María Alba

  40. Cindy says:

I do like to color as it makes me nervous and not very comfortable with it. But when I have to, I like to watercolor. Easy and nothing hard.

  41. Grace says:

I still love distress inks with a water brush for a watercolor look. Copics are probably a close second 😉

  42. Karen Hale says:

My favorite for coloring is the Prismacolor pencils. I also like the distress inks. Love your informative videos, thank you.

  43. Arts Of Gold says:

Hi Jennifer- It’s been a year now and I’m hooked on stamping and coloring! I love the ease of painting and blending with Distress Inks and so far they are my favorite. I also paint with seniors daily so appreciate the easier, simpler cards. I adapt for them by using large sizes of stamps and supplying different mediums, they love it and so do I!
Thank you for all your videos, I’m learning so much and get a lot of inspiration from you! ~ Cindy

  44. Kim says:

My favorite coloring method is Copics, but I try not to limit myself. I also use water color markers and pencils and, after watching many of your videos, I’ve added Wink of Stella, Spectrum Noir and Shimmer Spritz (love that stuff).

  45. little bit says:

I am new to copic markers (a bit challenging) and enjoy the distress inks. I would like to try the prisms colored pencils. Thank you for your informative videos!

  46. Sheena says:

My favourite colouring method is zig clean colour markers on watercolour paper.

  47. I’ve become more of a copic fan lately, but I recently got some Prismacolor pencils and I’m hoping to get better with these 🙂

  48. Adele Holcomb says:

Thank you for another great video — I so look forward to these. I’ve been enjoying my Prismacolor pencils, and often go over the coloring with a water brush to intensify the color.

  49. Deepa Lakshman says:

I dabble in a lot of mediums. But I think I do well with colored pencils. I got a good range of Prismacolors at a garage sale and I have been working with it. When I use the blender pens with other types of markers it pills the paper. I need to learn how to restrain from using a lot of liquid. Thank you for the information here.

  50. Maryjo Monterosso says:

Your videos are always so helpful. Thanks for all the very detailed reviews.
