Hello. Today’s video is an update for fine-tip, no-clog, adhesive solutions.

My two favorite adhesives are Ranger’s Glossy Accents and Multi Medium Matte. Glossy Accents is a clear, strong adhesive that I like to put on top of embellishments for some shine. Multi Medium Matte is a very strong adhesive that dries matte. However, I find that changing out the tips of these bottles gives a better application and prevents them from clogging. I had done a video on this awhile back but wanted to update it as I get a lot of emails asking if these solutions still work.

For small bottles (such as the Mini Glossy Accents and Multi Medium Matte), I like to take the nozzle off with pliers and replace it with the Quilled Creations fine-tip nozzle. When placing the cap back on, press lightly. Pushing too hard may result in getting it stuck or damaging the needle. Also, I’ve found that the connector piece can come off, which I don’t mind at all, but it’s a personal preference.

For large bottles (such as the large Glossy Accents), I remove the nozzle with pliers and replace it with the Scraperfect No-Clog Writing Cap. I suggest wiping the tip off of glossy accents before placing the cap back on. I really like that the needle in the cap prevents clogging.

Another solution that is cost effective is placing a plastic hang tie (off of clothing) inside the applicator. No need for the cap and it prevents clogging as well.

There are many options out there (trust me – I think I tried them all!), but these have worked the best for me. Hopefully, one of these will work for you too!

Jennifer, great tip about wiping the glue from the tip of the glossy accents. I have one of the tips get stuck on me and I’ll probably have to throw it away. It’s a good thing you’re having a giveaway! Thanks for the chance.

  12. I can’t say I have a single favorite adhesive. I use different adhesives in different situations. Today I’m building with chipboard. I’m using Tacky glue. For scrapbooking – building a layout, etc, I use double sided tape and Tomboy Mono-Multi as well as glossy accents. I use ModPodge for all kinds of situations, especially in my art journal. I love Ranger’s Matte Medium but it’s way more expensive than ModPodge so I use that for sealing my pages, etc.

  13. Katie says:

I love my Glossy Accents. So versatile for adding shine or adhering so many things to cards.

  14. Mandy Walters says:

In Australia glossy accents is easily found but I haven’t been able to find multi medium Matt so I use glossy for every thing. I also love the small bottle precision tips but haven’t found the large bottle top so have to decant into the small. Your advice is always excellent thanks

  15. Nancy W says:

I also use the small bottles of Glossy Accents and the MMM. The precision tip is great for applying glue. A hint – if the precision tip does become partially plugged, straighten an unused staple to push the glue plug through and out.

  16. Lagene says:

I love matte medium and glossy accents! Thanks for the giveaway!

  17. As always love your videos! These products are normally my go to for liquid adhesive mainly because you did all the leg work and told me these were the best.

My friend just told me about Ranger Multi Medium Matte and I love it, but I bought the bottles that are short and wide and have a large brush inside. I think I would of preferred the smaller bottle.

I love my matte medium, strong and clean.

  20. Linda B. says:

I love both the glossy accents and multi medium matte equally!

  21. Sierra R says:

I’m still working on my arsenal, but I found a nice bottle of Heidi Swapp’s opaque magic medium that I’ve been using for a few months now. It’s stuck pretty well, for the most part; the only problem that I’ve had is that it dries fairly quick and if I’m busy working on something else, the glue dries and doesn’t stick… user error! Michael’s recently stocked some Ranger Glossy Accents so I’m working my way towards that. Thank you for the refresher video!

  22. Diane M says:

I love the zig two way glue pens for adding thin die cuts to a project. For bigger embellishments I go with the matte multi medium.

  23. babysaffron says:

hi…. i’m from Philippines…. We have all sort of liquid glue but not very ideal…. it either drys out too quickly or too watery and sometimes, it doesn’t even hold.
So, thru online buying….. i bought Aleene’s Tacky glue….its a multi purpose glue for me…
Thanks for the giveaway…..want to try new stuff….

  24. Donna K says:
