Video: New Distress Inks – Pearlized Paper… and GIVEAWAY!

Happy Sunday.  I have a video, cool deal and giveaway today.  First, the video…

I have been wanting to do something with this favorite photo of mine and decided it was time.  The project is very simple, but I figured I would film it so you could see all the new Distress Inks in action.  I used them all in here and they are delicious.  Truly.  (The video shows many other tips.)

Supplies: All 12 new Distress Inks – coming soon; Perfect Pearls Perfect Pearl color; Mini Mister; Silhouette (to cut title); Corner Chomper; Heart Punch from EK Success; Tombow Mono Dot Permanent Adhesive; EK Success 3-D Dots foam dots; Silhouette.

BTW, the punch in this video is wonderful – the little heart on the inside is just perfect.  (It seems to be hard to find, but it is in stock HERE.)

I also saw that the might Corner Chomper is in stock again HERE.  Yes, you do need to have this.  Trust me. 🙂

150565_1000x1000 I also have been getting lots of questions about the new adhesive I love.  Be very careful – many of the Tombow adhesives look alike and have similar names.  But there is only one perfect one.  🙂  THIS is it.  (I show it in the video.)

Now… on to the cool offer and giveaway…

  6a00e550ccd8ce88340128775fadcc970c-800wi

The other day, I shared my very-loved personalized stamp for putting on the back of cards.  It turns out a few of you went over and ordered one of your own, so the seller, Karissa of Kiss and Tell Cards, contacted me.  Turns out she is a big sweetheart and is offering 10% off stamp orders through the end of February if you mention “Jennifer McGuire, Ink.”   AND!  She said I could do a few giveaways.  WOOHOO!  So, I am going to do one today.  (Thanks, Karissa!  You know I will be ordering more. 🙂

So, for a chance to win a personalized stamp of your own, just leave a comment here by Wednesday at 11:59pmEST recommending something to me.  (Movies, product, blog… anything.)  I will then pick a winner who will get to choose from these stamp designs from Kiss and Tell Cards...

I will be giving a couple more of these stamps away in the next week.  I just love them.

Have a great day.

Ooh, thanks for the chance to win 😀

Movies I recommend are Amelie, as well as Emperor’s New Groove. Neither movie is that recent, but they are both amazing, in very different ways.

The movie the Blind Side is amazing. I love the blog of Creative Therapy. Using metal and molds from Ten Seconds Studio to embellish layouts is fun. Thanks for a chance to win one of these cool stamps. Your blog is so inspiring.

Oh MYYYYYYYY I love your blog….. your crafts….your hair……your tips….your inspiration. I absolutely love ———- “Lifesaver” candies in the big bag. They are individualy wrapped and can go in any card. I get lots of raves about them. I decorated the wrapper and people love them. Thanks for all you do. Love you to!!!!!!

Jennifer, that pic of you and your son is priceless. Love the layout with the hearts. I really like the look of rounded corner punches. I just ordered one from 2 Peas. You are tempting us all with all your suggestions.
I just downloaded Jimmy Wayne’s newest cd “Sara Smile”. Every song is great. Check them out on iTunes. Jimmy is such a talented singer/songwriter. If you have a chance be sure to read his bio on his website JimmyWayne.com. His story is such an inspiration. He is now in the process of walking cross country from Nashville to Phoenix to support homeless kids who have aged out of the system and have nowhere to live.
Thanks again for sharing your talent with all of us.
    Best,
    Kathy

Jennifer, I am new to blogging and find myself always coming back to your blog. Thanks for sharing your wonderful ideas with us. I don’t have anything too important to recommend, except maybe a joke that you can share with your adorable little boy who I see in some of your videos… Why didn’t the ghost go to the dance? Because he had no BODY to go with… 🙂 Thanks! Dana

    Hi Jennifer,

i went over to Karissa’s esty shop as soon as i saw your blog. I just can’t decide what to write. One thing I can definatly, without a glimmer of a doubt recomend to you and your fellow readers would have to be to go and hire out the movie ‘Finding Nemo’. I know- we’ve all seen it but i recently saw it again with my 2yo nephew. Goly gosh, you feel like your going to wet your pants your laughing that hard. The next week had a really REALLY bad day at work. came home, put Nemo on and the day was fixed. Never fails to put a smile on my face. Go on- you know you want to right now!

Thanks for the chance to win!

  29. America says:

I love these stamps…so cool. I’d like to recommend a little store called The Envelope. They have cards, stamps similar to these and all kinds of little stuff. It’s not too far from Simply Scrapbooks where you teach some classes.

  30. Hi Jennifer, I really enjoy your blog. I’m such a novice scrapbooker I couldn’t think of anything to recommend to someone as experienced as you. But I did watch Wuthering Heights yesterday on Turner Classic Movies(even tho I’ve seen it a hundred times already). There’s something about old movies that I just love. Hope I win a stamp!

  31. Shirley K. says:

Those stamps look so neat! I have a self-inking address stamp, but I think a rubber stamp would be more versatile with all the different inks and colors out there!

  32. Gina says:

  43. Thanks for the cool video. I love to see all your fun techniques. I’m not really a technique-y stamper, but you inspire me to try different things.
recommendations? Hmmm….I can’t think of any. I watched the movie Amazing Grace this weekend and really liked it. Not sure what type of movies you enjoy, but it may be worth checking out.

  44. Keisha in MN says:

You have such great tutorials and recommendations. All the good scrapbooking stuff I would recommend, you already use 🙂 A fun thing I like to play with is paint swatches from the hardware store. They make great card fronts or just a splash of color on a layout… and it’s already color coordinated! My favorite swatches are Behr from Home Depot.

  45. Cass says:

I’d recommend books by Alice Hoffman. I have only just discovered them and love them!

  46. Thank you for the great video – I am loving the new colors! Since you attend CHA every year and know about every papercrafting product out there, I would like to recommend Lady Antebellum’s new CD. If you are a country music fan, you can’t go wrong with their new CD! They have the same beautiful harmony of bands like Little Big Town, but still have a unique sound. Thanks for the chance to win – those personalized stamps are beautiful.

  47. Katherine Lee says:

I am loving your blog and videos, you do a great job. Thanks for a chance to win at the giveaway. I would suggest the book The Book Thief by Markus Zusak.
