Video: New Distress Inks – Pearlized Paper… and GIVEAWAY!

Happy Sunday.  I have a video, cool deal and giveaway today.  First, the video…

I have been wanting to do something with this favorite photo of mine and decided it was time.  The project is very simple, but I figured I would film it so you could see all the new Distress Inks in action.  I used them all in here and they are delicious.  Truly.  (The video shows many other tips.)

BTW, the punch in this video is wonderful – the little heart on the inside is just perfect.  (It seems to be hard to find, but it is in stock HERE.)

I also saw that the might Corner Chomper is in stock again HERE.  Yes, you do need to have this.  Trust me. ๐Ÿ™‚

150565_1000x1000 I also have been getting lots of questions about the new adhesive I love.  Be very careful – many of the Tombow adhesives look alike and have similar names.  But there is only one perfect one.  ๐Ÿ™‚  THIS is it.  (I show it in the video.)

Now… on to the cool offer and giveaway…

The other day, I shared my very-loved personalized stamp for putting on the back of cards.  It turns out a few of you went over and ordered one of your own, so the seller, Karissa of Kiss and Tell Cards, contacted me.  Turns out she is a big sweetheart and is offering 10% off stamp orders through the end of February if you mention “Jennifer McGuire, Ink.”   AND!  She said I could do a few giveaways.  WOOHOO!  So, I am going to do one today.  (Thanks, Karissa!  You know I will be ordering more. ๐Ÿ™‚

So, for a chance to win a personalized stamp of your own, just leave a comment here by Wednesday at 11:59pmEST recommending something to me.  (Movies, product, blog… anything.)  I will then pick a winner who will get to choose from these stamp designs from Kiss and Tell Cards...

I will be giving a couple more of these stamps away in the next week.  I just love them.

Have a great day.

i have two favorite “things” that i recommend to all my friends – one is the eco-friendly shopping bag from Envirosax.com – they are wonderful – roll up small for in your purse, carry 40 lbs. and are the greatest. my other fav is called “roll-a-lotion” from bed, bath and beyond – you can put your body lotion all over after a shower – even your back – this is so good in cold dry winter. lovely! would love to win a personalized stamp – those are neat. video was great – now i have to buy some more distress colors.

  18. stacie alison says:

Well…I have really gotten into the book “The Historian” it is a little of everything and a great read. I am a theatre manager so a movie is a movie to me sometimes, but to see Avatar in Sony 4K Digital is 4 times better than regular 3D – its like watching a picture that is 4X clearer than Blu-Ray players..

Thanks for the chance at the great stamp!

  19. Meghan says:

You should definitely see the movie “Dear John”! The book by Nicholas Sparks is excellent as well =:)

  20. Jean Shen says:

    Love those stamps!
If you haven’t seen “It’s Complicated”, I think you’ll enjoy it. It was funny. I just wish the person sitting next to me would have left since she didn’t seem to enjoy it and kept answering her phone calls and text msgs.

  21. Lindsay says:

I highly recommend watching Dear John! We went and saw it on Friday night and it is definitely a great movie. Not as good as some of Nicholas Sparks’ other books/movies, but it was a tear jerker. It was really good. ๐Ÿ™‚

Those new Distress Ink colors are beautiful! I also get so much out of your videos. I would recommend reading “A Countess Below Stairs,” and thanks for a giveaway opportunity. Have a great day!

  23. Paula says:

    Hi Jennifer,
Thanks for sharing the video, the picture is so beautiful! I thought that I was the only one that held onto photos that I know I want to do something special with, but not sure what until I see it. :o) This turned out great.

I don’t have any books or movies to recommend, but I do have a blog that I really think you would enjoy checking out. It’s a great site that’s owned by a really cute young couple, Mary & Leo. They are asking us to add a link to their site on a blog or help spread the word and introduce others to their site. I immediately thought of you because I know you like to share links to sites you’ve come across and think others will enjoy.

In addition to videos and tutorials, they offer SVG files for sale and a free one each week. Cricut owner’s w/SCAL will love that. Mary’s Corner, at the “Crafty Zone” on the blog features finished projects and Mary shares how she completes each project and the size of the cut files used. If you get the chance, please check them out. Let me know what you think.

    Hi Jennifer!
Although I started making cards a year ago, I’ve just recently become interested in stamping. I’m 14 years old, unemployed, and an absolute craft-a-holic! I purchase all of my craft supplies with my own money, which can be quite sparse at some times. So… for my recommendation! I would love to see a list of your personal “Top Ten Items Every Crafter Should Own” on your blog. I’m new to most products, and would enjoy your recommendations. This would allow me, and other new scrapbookers and stampers, to know just what products are worth buying. Money doesn’t grow on trees, and I would love to be informed on where to invest my money! Thanks so much! Braeden ๐Ÿ™‚

  42. Sara says:

I’ve already got my pre-order in for the new Distress Inks – I can’t wait! I reccomend the TV show Big Bang Theory, it’s hilarious! About these theorhetical physicists and total geeks. It’s in the 3rd season now but you can get the first two seasons on DVD (I think I paid $30 Canadian for each, so cheap too!)

I have to say, I love how you seem to have bandaids on your fingers more often than not! ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m always banging up my hands and mumble nastily at other videos with people who have perfect hands – love how you just leave the bandaid on and go! Thanks!

  43. Yaritza says:

Can’t wait till the new inks are released. Believe it or not the gray ink is my favorite. Great video and project.

  44. Suzanne says:

Love your cards!! I’ve been making Valentine’s cards. I had some pink felt hearts that I spread Stickles Frosted Lace over and now they look like sugar coated candies – a really yummy look!

love the hearts …gunna look for that punch and wow, nice that Karissa has done this too, thank you

  46. regina says:

Love the project you created and the preview of the new distress inks. The fact that the colors dry lighter is extremely useful to know. That’s just like transparent watercolors which do the same thing.

I also recommend “The Blind Side”, but here’s a movie that I think a lot of people missed: “Fantastic Mr. Fox”. I just loved it & found it adorable. There is so much wry humor in it.

Love your blog – so much that I added a link in a recent post.

  47. Amy says:

Love those stamps! I recommend Dear John the movie. we saw it this weekend as a girls day out and we all cried. SO good!

  48. Taylee says:

Well I recommend going to see “Leap Year”. I didn’t know anything about the movie when I went to see it, other than my favorite actress of all times was in it. (Amy Adams, I love her) After seeing it I felt like I wanted to stay in the theater and watch it again! It is a really great movie with a predictable ending, but with hilariously unexpected situations!! I 100% recommend going to see that movie!! (I can’t wait till it comes on DVD so I can watch it all the time.) And product wise I would have to say Maybelline’s “Colossal Volume” (the bright yellow & purple tube) mascara. I have been using the mascara that comes in a pink and green tube for a long time, and I wanted to try something new, and this yellow tube really caught my eye. It stays on like a dream, and looks very creamy. It’s the best mascara I have ever used. Thanks for reading. Tay

  49. Taylee says:

I recommend seeing the new movie “Leap Year”. The ending was predictable, but it had some pretty hilarious moments. I really wanted to stay in the theater and watch it again, but I guess I can wait till it comes out on DVD.
A product that I would recommend would have to be Maybelline’s Colossal Volume mascara. I have used the mascara that comes in the pink & green tube for as long as I can remember, and I was looking for a differnt one to use. And this one really caught my eye. It comes in a bright yellow and purple tube and is creamy going on, and stays on like a dream. Thanks for reading my recommendations. Tay
