Happy Monday & a Giveaway

Hi!  Hope you had a good weekend.  Mine was heavenly.  I love stamping retreats… especially with the best of friends and most incredible women I know.  I feel so happy – and therefore have a fun giveaway today. 🙂

First, I gotta start by linking you to the Hero Arts Blog.  Leslie Lightfoot is gonna rock it with color combos this week.  She has a giveaway… go check it out HERE.

And another link for ya: Nichol is doing an AMAZING Christmas journal.  Incredible. You can see it HERE.

So, you know how I always share cards inspired by my dear friend, Shari Carroll?  Here is another.  Totally inspired by her owl cards found HERE and HERE.  I just love this little guy.  (And thank you, Shari, for inspiring me.  I love you so very much!)

Owl
Supplies:
Hero Arts stamps (owl, cupcake, birthday greeting)
Hand-drawn hat
Other: colored pencils, gamsol and pom-pom

Now it is time for that giveaway.  I personally have been so addicted to small paper pads, like the 6×6 Basic Grey ones and the 8×8 Cosmo Cricket ones.  So, I thought I would giveaway one of these goodies.  Just leave a comment here by Wednesday at 11:59pmEDT telling me your current favorite paper line/company and I will pick a random winner of this great and happy paper pad…

  1. I am also addicted to the small paper packs! They are just wonderful for cardmaking. I have most of the Basic Grey ones, but I just recently found an SEI one at Mike’s that is gorgeous, and if you haven’t tried the Memory Box ones yet, head on over to Ellen Hutson’s site for some gorgeous eye candy!

  2. It’s hard to choose I love so many, but right now I have my eye on Cosmo Cricket’s OH JOY line! Can’t wait to snag it!

  3. I tend to use whatever papers I can find in my local craft store, and they tend to be Die Cuts with a View. I really like the Pocket Full of Posies matstack. So pretty!

  4. My favorite paper line is Anna Griffin…I think her papers are so beautiful..They really have an old time feel to them and can be dressed up or down depending on what I plan to make.

  5. love your peek a boo owl card! great idea!
my 2 fave paper companies are basic grey and american crafts…one is vintagey and grungey..the other is streamlined and ‘clean’…love ’em both!

  6. Another cute card! I have always liked MME and Basic Grey. I have also been using Stampin Up! designer papers and cardstock…Ski SLope.

Glad your retreat was so fun.

  7. I agree with you on the small pads – in LOVE with the Basic Grey 8×8’s. Thanks for a chance to win and all the great inspiration!

  8. Great Baskets!

The weather here in PA is very cold 6 degrees this morning, but we will have a White Christmas this year instead of a rainy one.
    Happy Holidays!
