I have an addiction…

… to butterflies.

Not sure when it happened, but it did.  Weird!  I was looking in my old files and finding lots of them over the past year…

Here is a page I did last year.  Maybe that is when it started…

Then another one this summer…  (Looks washed out… sorry.)

Then one today…  It is a SUPER bad photo, but I couldnt' get a good shot tonight.  It uses all soft Shadow Inks and Memory Box stamps.  And, a bit of distressing on the edges.

  1. weird, i was just about to come here and take a second look at some of your videos for inspiration and you popped up in my google reader 🙂 that made me happy

  2. You’re not alone in your addiction! I’m having a hard time taking pics of my stuff too (but your pics look great!)…discovered today that I can take them by my patio door and use the snow and a light reflector. It worked!
Thanks for sharing…I really love the LO!

We are on the same butterfly page of addiction. I have so many stamps and embellishmets I have collected this year. They make me so happy I hope they stay in vogue for a long time.

The card is so sweet looking. The soft colors remind me of Victorian style. I love all the velvet, pearls and lace from that time period.

Thanks for sharing. Have a great night scrapping.

  4. I love butterflies. I tried, in vain, to photograph those pretty little white ones in the garden. They’re just too fast for me!

Your last card is especially striking! How did you do the distressing along the edges?

Have fun scrapping! I’ve been spending the evening making up those candy bags you featured the other day. They’ve turned out great!! Thanks for all your super-stunning ideas~~

  5. There are many things worse than a butterfly addiction:) I’m addicted to the word “Joy”…seems like every card I’ve done lately has the word JOY, so I’m trying to branch out to “merry, peace, etc”.

  6. who doesn’t like butterflies…they are so cool. The butterfly stamps are neat because they have so many different styles and designs…

I think your pic’s look great!

  7. Oh I love butterflies as well. I love your cards. I can never get enough of them.
I was trying to find a way to incorporate them in my Christmas lo’s lol.
    Don’t ever stop using them!

  8. Jennifer I LOVE the first page…..particularly the butterflies stamped on text. I have that butterfly set, and don’t use it much – guess what I will be doing this afternoon? Thanks for the inspiration!

  9. That’s OK… I have an addiction to your blog! 🙂
Everything you create is so amazing…butterflies and all! Just keep creating…even if your addiction changed to toast…I’m sure whatever you created with toast would be amazing!

  10. I’m also addicted to butterflies and Owls.
I even bought an owl nightlight a few weeks ago and an Owl pot holder! I had a butterfly comforter when I was little and even had a pet butterfly for a while. I love that cuttlebug butterfly die/embossing set, too.

  11. I just made gorgeous butterfly decorations for my daughter’s room. I was inspired by Pottery Barn Kids’ wall decorations. I used Doodlebug Design’s glittery cardstock and they look beautiful! Pictures in my blog. One of my favorite things I’ve done in a while. 3D cuteness.

  12. Gorgeous projects! Love the butterflies and the colours in teh layout are so fresh. I’ll have to use them together. Love what you did with the shadow inks. I can’t wait to here more about them.

  13. Jennifer if you really like butterflies then you would love this butterfly garden we found in Deerfield, MA. You can walk among these beautiful butterflies!

  14. I will always love butterflies and owls. 🙂 Beautiful projects, as usual. You know, Martha Stewart makes a great little butterfly punch…but I think I’ve seen you use it before. Anyhow, have a great week, Jennifer.

  15. Oh Kristina that is so funny, I too just started getting into butterlies. I got out all the butterfly stamps I have and put them on display on a shelf to get inspired to create something with the pretty little things. I think the beautiful butterfly on the front cover of the Stampin’Up catalog got me inspired. I just luv the shape and color of it. Then I saw some pretty ones I have on my wish list from K&Co Amy Butler Lotus Tea Box Die-cut butterflies. They are so beautiful and found them on Ebay. I WANT them NOW. Moola is scarce these days so have to be patient.

  16. My computer was doin some wierd stuff. I looked at your blog, Jennifer and then clicked on to go to Kristina’s blog to see her video and for some reason I thought I was on your new post and when I clicked on to go to another blog it updated to your newest post about butterflies and so I thought I was on the other blog. I had to take care of my cache overload and Now it is running the way it should. So…..HI! Have a great day.
