WCMD Week: Day 5 of Giveaways

Hi!  It’s Day 5 of my celebration of World Card Making Day Week.  Today I have some shares, links, Q&A’s and a great giveaway.  It’s very yummy…

The winner of Day 3’s giveaway (a bunch of Heidi Swapp goodies) is Jessica Griffin.  I will email you.

First, I wanted to say that I finally got the video to work on YouTube for yesterday’s card.  Here it is.  (For more info on the card, click HERE.)

Next… 2peas had a bunch of new stuff go up in their Garden yesterday.  Here are my silly cards… click HERE for more pictures and info…

A few more links..

  • Check out Jennifer Pebbles FREE class at 2peas HERE.  It is so cool.
  • Shannon Tidwell had a baby girl… so happy for her.  Look how stunning she looks with her pretty girl in this great layout HERE.  Ooooo… and THIS is so pretty!
  • I love Amy Grendell’s adorable Halloween Treat Jars HERE.  I think I may do this for the kids in Colin’s class.  And fill it with raisins. 🙂

Moving on…

I am trying to catch up on Q&A’s.  Here are a few more…

Q: Awhile back you mentioned something about kits.  Are you still thinking of doing that?
A: Back when I started the blog, I asked if anyone would be interested in buying kits if I had extras from classes.  However, I decided not to do this for two reasons.  One… I am lazy. 🙂  Two… with stamping, it is hard to do kits that aren’t super expensive.  And I seem to be completely incapable of creating anything without stamps.  (Addictions are tough. 🙂

Q: What dies work with the Cuttlebug?
A: Almost all do.  If you have non-Cuttlebug dies and want to learn how to use them on a Cuttlebug, I recommend doing a Google and/or YouTube search on “Cuttlebug with Quickutz Dies” or whatever. You can easily get the answers you need.

Q: Do you have any other videos I can see?
A: Yep.  I would recommend going HERE and clicking on the yellow “subscribe” button so you can be notified whenever they are posted.  Also, I do videos for twopeasinabucket.com HERE and Hero Arts HERE.

Q: Where do you get all your pretty soft ribbon?
A: Ahh… I get asked this a lot.  And I am so happy to say that one of the great online stores now carries the silk ribbon I love!  I can promise promise promise you will love it.  It is classy and soft and comes in great colors.  And thin, so when you tie a knot it is tiny and not bulky – perfect for cardmaking and scrapbooking.  If you are interested in the silk ribbons, click HERE.  They have great prices, too.

Now… time for the next giveaway.  Today I have a fun pile of my favorite silk ribbon!  For a chance to win all this goodness, just leave a comment on this post by Friday at 11:59pmEDT telling me one of your favorite stamp companies.  (I am hoping to discover some new ones to buy.)  I will post the winner on Saturday. Here is the ribbon you would win…

Silk ribbon goodness

Off to pack for a teaching gig this weekend in Orlando.  It is a rep show – I love doing classes for store owners. It is good to see stores doing well in this industry and economy.

Have a great night.  Thanks for stopping by.

Ohh such pretty silk ribbon! I enjoy pretty much all stamping companies, but my favorite is Inque Boutique because of the rubber that they use- it leaves a perfect impression so easily.

My favorite stamps right now are the little Snowy Jo acrylic stamps from Imaginisce. I have a new love in acrylic stamps, and these are just adorable. They have matching coordinating paper, which is very cute, too. And the price is right at $1 each.

PaperTrey Ink here too. They do a new release set each month on the 15th….along with that, they release ink, ribbon, paper and other things that all coordinate and all go together. The designers create projects with the new products. Not just cards, but gift ideas, home decor and lots more that I can’t even think of. The site is awesome!
Check out http://www.nicholeheady.typepad.com to see all the goodness! They are polymer acrylic stamps!

  35. jenny says:

Love the ribbon! My favorite stamp company has to be Outlines Rubber Stamps, they have great stamps that you can make lots of layers with. I also love Hero Arts!

  36. Joyce M says:

To be honest with you, I’m not a real big stamper – If there is a way to get ink on everything, I find it. I have ruined more beautiful projects by smudging all over them, than I can count – and not the good kind of smudging like Tim Holtz either. I have gotten better though. I’m trying. Anyway, I have just a few of the basics – Stampin’ up etc.

  37. Susiestamper says:

Jennifer I love your ribbon and all of your creations. I look so forward to your wonderful classes. I have to say that Hero Arts is my ultimate favorite stamp company but I also love Outliners and Denami. It’s really hard to choose sometimes because there are so many different ways to create. I really enjoy your blog and look forward to seeing you again at the Stampaway convention in 2009!
