  1. Jennifer, thank you for all your videos. They are great. The one on fixing warped cutting plates is awesome. Thank you. You die cutting machine comparison was so helpful. I have several manual ones but have really wanted an electronic one. It was between the Gemini Jr. and Anna Griffin Empress. Based on your recommendation and comparison, I ordered the Empress. I do have a question though, I have always ordered an extra set of cutting plates but have not been able to locate just the cutting plates for the Empress. Sny suggestions?

  2. Thank you for helping us with the plates. I’m sure every person can relate to this problem and appreciates the ideas. I tried taping the Gemini plates together as you advised us in a previous video and that has really worked wonderfully. I also appreciate your husbands explanation. It always helps to know why something is happening so you don’t blame yourself for just doing something wrong! Thank you both!!!

  3. Dear Jennifer,
You are my go to crafter and artist. Your information is always helpful and positive, such a bright light. Your share your talents and
with your crafting communty and fellow creators. Thank you for all you do.

  4. Thanks so much, Jennifer! You are a life saver!! I have been looking for a solution to this problem. I really appreciate you 😄👏🏻

  5. Very good idea and I shall be buying those double sided plates for the larger Gemini soon. I haven’t used mine much because every thing warped, not just the plates. The magnetic piece won’t even hold the dies anymore due to the warping. Thanks so much for the information and your hard work in finding solutions to the many issues we have with some products.

  6. What “Sandwich” with the taped together green and clear plate do we now use for using embossing folders? Thansk so muc for this wonderful video and all the tips.

  7. Thanks Jen and Ken! I was getting pretty discouraged with the amount of money I was spending on buying replacement cutting plates. These tips will save alot of people ALOT of $$. 🙂

  8. Thank you so much. I was spending a lot on new plates all the time. It worked like a charm. My plastic shim was also warped and it worked on that too.

  9. After watching one of your videos I bought the i-crafter plate. While this is better it does still have some warping. Would the hot water trick work with that plate as it is a different kind of plastic. Thanks Jennifer xx

    1. I used this method on my I-crafter plate and it worked like a charm. Mine looked like rolling hills and now it’s nice and flat.

  10. This works GREAT!! I’ve tried many other ways to flatten my cutting plates and this is the only one that works! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

  11. I’m sorry to say that this did not work with my Sizzix plate. Followed the book the first time; second time, flipped the plate to warped side up. Still warped. Any one have better success than I – or suggestions?

  12. Sizzix cutting plates live in the same niche of the world as cockroaches and Costco plastic wrap: after the nuclear bomb, they will be the only survivors. Trial 3: soaked the plate in boiling water for 5 minutes and then backed the rear wheel onto it for 2 hours. Still warped…

  13. HI Few months back I bought some new plates for my Gemini machine and 1 has already started to warp. I am only using one of the new plates and the other I use is from the original set you get with the machine.
Sad to say, I did what you have done and no idea but the plate has got wider and now won’t fit in the machine. Is this suppose to happen? I am using the A4 size plates.

  14. Where can I buy The green cutting plates for my big Gemini. I just love everything you make and show us. You are so good. Thank you so much. Leigh Rose

  15. Can the boiling water technique be used on embossing folders? (3 D)
I’m needing to flatten a few.

  16. I just received my new Spellbinder Platinum Six and tried to run a Darice (from JoAnn’s) embossing folding through on card stock. It did not make an impression at all and I followed the directions. What should I do?
