Embossed Impressions + Blog Hop + GIVEAWAY

Welcome! Today I am revisiting a favorite technique of mine… and sharing new tips. This is a fantastic way to use your dies creatively!

Any die can be used to create an impression on paper. But you can step-it-up by adding heat embossing, too! I have shared variations of this technique many times in the past (see below for all the video links), but it never gets old! Be sure to watch the video to see how it is done.

Each card uses the Spellbinders Embossing Mat, Versamark Ink, embossing powder, Distress Ink (for watercolor), and Tim Holtz Watercolor Paper

Here are the cards from my video along with the main products featured. For the full supply list, scroll down to the thumbnails at the end of this post.

  1. I’m going to try the embossing powder with water spray!! Great idea and fun cards! Thank you for all you show and share with us cardmakers!!

  2. Is it possible to ink up a hot foil die (that’s meant to be used with spellbinders glimmer hot foil machine) with versamark and “stamp” it to cardstock, then heat emboss with embossing powder? I really wonder, and would absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE to see a video from you if that works!! Picket fence studio has a Merry Christmas hot foil impression and die cut combo. It’s “Merry Christmas” with a shadow that you can cut around the hot foil. I Ordered it in accident, thinking it was a shadow die cut script sentiment. Im still waiting on it in mail, and I’m really hoping I can ehat emboss the sentiment and die cut around it to use it some what how I originally thought it was meant to be used. If anyone could do it and create a wonderful, beautiful technique out of it, it would be YOU!
I love your work, so much inspiration. I hope to see a video about ^ it one day!!

    Thanks! SOO much Love,
    Leah S. <3
