That depends… when I’m going to be working with Copics, I reach for Memento. I LOVE my Distress inks for vibrancy. If I had to pick one single fav, tho, it’d be Delicata gold!!

  16. I love Memento inks, especially the black.

  17. Marilyn says:

I have several of the inks because I’ve been watching your videos for a couple of years but I want to get some of the Altenew in the color families to make stamp layering easier. Thanks for another great video!

  18. I really like the idea of having four different shades of a color -probably cos I love layering stamps so the Altenew Inks would be my faves – and the fact that they come as cubes too, is fantastic! Would absolutely love the color set cubes. Now I just wish shipping from the US wouldn’t cost so much! Thank You for the chance of turning wishful thinking into reality.

  19. Teresa says:

Very helpful info. I really enjoy my distress inks. Will need to try some of the other brands and check out different paper.

  20. Karen Nuce says:

It’s a hard choice but I’d have to choose Tim Holtz Distress Inks as my favorite. The colors are amazing and the size of the pad is easy to use but not too small.

  21. barb macaskill says:

I am torn between Tim Holtz Distress Inks and Memento & Memento Lux Inks as my favorites! I use them for different things so both are really my favorites depending on what I am doing! TFS!

  22. Dee Earnshaw says:

Wow, there is a lot of fantastic info in your wonderful video – my head is reeling with all the differences and possibilities. I have never tried the hybrid inks, but they may be exactly what I am looking for when I color with copics. My favorite inks would have to be the distress inks – they are so versatile and fun to play with – I always reach for them whenever I am crafting. Thank you for sharing your expertise with us Jennifer:)

  23. Berina Febin says:

I use memento tuxedo black for most of my stamping since I prefer to color using copics.

  24. I love distress inks and paper Trey Ink inks!! I love the Lawn Fawn inks too!! thanks for sharing and have a Fabulous Week!!

  25. scrapinator says:

That’s a hard answer. I have to have my Memento Tuxedo for Copics, I have several sets of Altenew cubes for the layering stamps and would really like the rest because it really does take the guess work out of it, have to Veramark for embossing. I love Simon inks and Hero Arts inks. There are so many inks to pick from 🙂 Love My Favorite Crafty Things Series!!

  26. Zarogina A says:

Distress inks and versafine black are my favorites. Thanks for sharing with us

I have Distress ink pads in many colors, I also use Archival (with Zig Clean Color). I have many other colors from many different companies (I choose by the color, not really by the company).
    Thanks for your video

  30. L.N. says:

Thanks for the tip on the quality of the paper–never thought of that! I was curious–you mention Neenah Classic Crest Solar White–what lb. weight is that? Thank you!

  31. Adefolami Odusanya says:

I love watching your videos and they inspire me. I just started stamping and making cards, so far the versamark ink has been my favorite because of the embossing. I am hoping to get some other inks like Tim Holtz distress ink because I would like to try some of the blending you use them for in your videos. Thanks for always sharing your ideas.

  32. Doris Cote says:

So many choices. I took notes! Love the idea of the color coding dots. Some of my attempts were not realistic representations of the colors. lol, So I will redo with the dots. Again, even in this, paper choice makes a difference. Thanks!

  33. Paws2pet says:

I have been using Gina K ink products for some time. I love the colors in her line and matching card stock is a plus.

  37. Chris says:

Your ‘My Favorite Crafty Things’ series are getting more and more popular, and you are helping so many people worldwide. Thanks a bunch.
Mine would go for the Altenew inks, and of course Hero Arts’, Distress inks, Versamark. They are great inks.
    Keep it up!

  38. My used ink is memento tuxedo black. I do like distress inks also.

  39. Z Sullivan says:

Very informative, as always. I have not been stamping very long and am just learning about the myriad of inks available. I tend to go crazy and buy everything from a given brand, so I own the complete line of Distress mini inks, which I use almost exclusively. I stamp with VersaMark and heat emboss, or with Memento Tuxedo Black or VersaFine and then color. That seems to be my got-to technique for stamping. When I first started, I bought the Memento Dew Drop inks and am now starting to branch out to try other dye inks. I will take into account the inks that have coordinating cardstock as I consider future purchases. Thank you for sharing your vast knowledge with us.

  40. Michelle says:

I can’t say I have any favorite inks yet.

  41. Oh….. SO many beautiful inks/colors! Love ’em all! My favorite ink, of late, is Altenew-such pretty, pretty coordinating shades.

  42. Carina dillivan says:

I tend to use memento inks, mainly from habit. I have had some blurring with that when i use watercolors so i think i neeto find something that does blurr with water. Love my versamark. Can’t live without it?

  43. AthenaB says:

I like archival and memento inks

  44. peifert says:

Thanks for another awesome informative video!! I always struggled with inks & what to use for what technique. I’ve watched your videos for the last few years for suggestions & ideas. I love that you do this…I know it’s a busy time of year & takes time to get all the supplies together & do a video! I wish I still had your energy!! Thanks so much again!! Heading off to watch your favorite coloring video!!

  45. Barb Mc says:

Thanks, Jennifer! What a great video! Inks can be fussy so this helps sort out the best! I love your Favorite Crafty
    Things” videos!

  46. Teresa says:

How can I pick a favorite. I use versmak for techniques, versafine onyx black for sentiments, and Simon Says Stamp intense black for Copics. I don’t have a lot of colored inks that you suggest, because I get most of my supplies form JoAnn Fabrics, and the do carry those brands. Thank you for all of your advise. Your videos help me make informed decisions on how to spend my craft money wisely. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family. Thank you for sharing.

  47. Margaret says:

I dont have any dye inks because I am new to paper crafting, but based on your review, I like the lawn fawn and ranger dye inks because they offer vibrant and fun colors. 😀

  48. Melody W. says:

I want to try the Delicata black and white shimmer inks ! And I would like to try Gina K ink, too. Picking the colors that you like from different brands are good advice. Thank you for sharing !

  49. Karen Waldner says:

My favorites are Colorbox, they used to be cheaper than the ones you mentioned, but not recently, I do have a few Tim Holtz distress inks, love those too, and a clear versamark, love that, I perfer pigment inks over dye inks, but I do love the distress inks for background techniques,

  50. barbara lassiter says:

Hands down…..my favorite inks are the Distress Inks! I like VersaFine Onyx black and VersaFine Smokey Grey and StazOn Ganache for permanent colors. I also love the Hero Hues Unicorn pigment ink. These are all must haves for me!
