Hello! Today’s video shares an easy “WOW” technique – – white pencil highlighting. I also give a close look at the newest WPlus9 release. Giveaway, too!

I am head-over-heels for this new Wplus9 Beautiful Bouquet Ranunculus Stamp. It is perfect for just about any type of coloring you would want to do. You could even stamp it with a light ink on white cardstock and trace/color it for a no-line coloring look. Or watercolor over it… just using the stamp lines as a guide. It is gorgeous and complete as is. However, I wanted to do something unique with it, so I decided to try white pencil highlighting.
You don’t need much for this technique – just white ink and a white colored pencil. Yay!
After stamping the gorgeous bouquet with Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment Ink, I added a bit of Prismacolor White Pencil. I really just traced the stamping and blended it out into nothing… causing the edges to soften. You can do this on any dark or bold colored cardstock. And with any outline image. Eep! LOVE.
I built up my own sentiments by white heat embossing the Wplus9 That is All Stamps. I like that I can arrange and build the greeting to “fit” into the open spaces.
At the end of the video, I did a mini “Product Release Close-Up” showing the newest WPlus9 release. This is their best release yet! I also shared a peek at two quick cards. For this one, I white heat embossed the new Wplus9 Color My World Stamp and added pops of color with heavy colored pencils. Only took ten minutes.
I also wanted to use the new Wplus9 Foxy Friends Die to create a little felt fox. We have a new pup named Foxy, so this seemed like a good card for my kiddos. You can also use the die to make a cat or racoon instead! By the way, if you are looking for good felt, I HIGHLY recommend the new ones from Taylored Expressions. Delicious!
I had fun making these cards today. I tell ya… this hobby of ours is the best. 🙂
