Product Showcase: 8 DIY Gift Holders
Hello! Today’s video shows eight different gift holders I made last week. Some of the examples use fabulous products for making the process simple… and some use things you already have on hand!

I needed to make a bunch of gifts (mostly for teachers) so I decided to go ahead and film it to share with you. I normally do technique videos but am hoping you like this sort of “Project Showcase” video, too.
I created eight different gift holders. Some are envelopes, some are bags. Here they are…
(1.) Heart Envelope
Many people asked how the new Lawn Fawn Stitched Heart Envelope Die Set worked. Cute, isn’t it? When you open the mini envelope, it unfolds into a giant heart! And the envelope is the perfect size to hold a gift card. I added the envelope to the front of a card and decorated it with various images from the Lawn Fawn Love Letters Stamp Set. This set is great for any cardmaker… and is perfect for decorating envelopes.
I could see using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Heart Envelope Die Set for teacher gifts or valentine notes. This card is going to an administrator at Lila’s school. Oh, and if you don’t have this die, you could create your own large heart by hand and fold it the same way.
(2.) Adjustable Envelope
Concord & 9th is known for their creative and well-designed die sets. Using the Concord & 9th Love Notes Envelope Die Set, you can create an envelope of various sizes. It is easy to assemble and fun to decorate! I used the Simon Says Stamp Emma Background Stamp for the background and the Concord & 9th Love Notes Stamp Set for the sentiment.
This envelope is also great for holding gift cards or just a sweet note.
(3.) DIY Envelope from Circles
This next example is one you can do with supplies you have on hand! All you need to do a cut four circles of the same size. I used a large circle from the Hero Arts Inifinity Circles Die Set, but you could also trace bowls to create them. The diameter of the circle you use determines the length/width of the envelope you end up with. Watch the video to see how easy it is to make!
I added a little sleeve with the cutie Simon Says Stamp Coffee and Tea Stamp coffee cup and a Neat and Tangled Into the Woods sentiment. I put a Starbucks gift card inside. Perfect image for that, huh?
(4.) Gift Bag
I have made many gift bags from paper over the years. What makes the Mama Elephant Favor Bag Die stand out from other bag dies is the size. The final bag is over 3″x5″. And it is super cute! I kept the projects simple by white heat embossing the Mama Elephant Botanical Hello Stamp and coloring it with a Versamark Pen, Clear Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen, and Prismacolor White Colored Pencil.
The Glossy Accents on the letters makes it look yellow-y in the photo. But once it dried it looked nice! This gift bag is going to hold a large necklace… but it would be perfect for lots of small gifts.
(5.) Adjustable Gift Bag
Waffle Flower knocked it out of the park with the Waffle Flower Gift Bag Die. Not only is the price point great, but you can control how deep the bag is! I kept mine small since it is just holding a pair of earrings. Isn’t it adorable? I added simple white heat embossing with the Waffle Flower Enveloper OK Stamp Set.
(6.) DIY Gift Bag from Envelope
I have shown in a previous video (find it HERE) how to create a gift bag out of an envelope. This is great because most of us have envelopes on hand… no need for a fancy die set! You can even adjust the depth of the bag. Be sure to watch the video to see how.
To decorate the front, I used the My Favorite Things Big Hugs Die and Concord & 9th Kindhearted Stamp Set. Be sure to catch my tip for lining up the letter perfectly!
(7.) Mini Goodie Box
I received a lot of emails asking about the Reverse Confetti Goodie Box Die. This die is very easy to use an makes a fun mini box. I put a pair of earrings inside and added an image from the Reverse Confetti All Apples Stamp Set on the outside. You could even make building blocks with this die – Lila loved it!
(8.) Treat Tubes
These next treat boxes were my favorite to create. I used the Reverse Confetti Treat Tube Topper Die… which comes with several plastic treat tubes. (You can also buy extras.) I found the die easy to use and the results are so cute. I stamped the ends with images from the Reverse Confetti Blooms N Buds Stamp Set and added string.
Inside the containers are some stamps I had made by Bossy Joscie Personalized Stamps. These are for a friend fighting breast cancer. I hope she likes them.
