My Favorite Crafty Things: PAPERS & ADHESIVES + Giveaway

Welcome back to My Favorite Crafty Things 2015! We are getting close to wrapping up the series – I hope it has been helpful.

By the way – there are only two more topics I will be covering in this series. Stay tuned!

Remember, I have big giveaways (see below) and even store discounts:

  • Simon Says Stamps is offering my readers 10% off site-wide using the code “JenCrafty” from 12/1/15 until 11:59pmEST on 12/15/15.
  • Ellen Hutson is offering my readers 10% off site-wide using the code “jensfaves” from 12/1/15 until 11:59pmEST on 12/15/15.
  • As you are shopping, please keep in mind that these stores and many of the stamp manufacturers had HUGE sales last week so inventory may be low. Please know that they have already placed re-orders!

Today is all about on paper and adhesives.

  1. Scrapbook Adhesives are the best imho. Still to get my hands on the coveted Multi Matte Medium- need so badly for sequins!!!

  2. I love that tape runner and the fact you can roll off the adhesive and move it if you need to. I have the ATG and it is too HUGE!

  3. Like you, I want to be able to reposition until I am sure I like my layout. I’ve been using EK Success Herma Dotto tape runner for years in both repositionable and permanent for small crafts like single cards or scrapbook pages and just LOVE it. I also like how affordable the refills are at just $3 or 4 each and that I can grab them at Hobby Lobby with a coupon or order online when I buy from SSS or Joann. I whip out the ATG for big projects or multiples. Ranger MMM and Zip Dry both hold special places in my heart though and on the craft desk too! You can never have enough glues! karenpagedave at yahoo dot com

  4. For adhesive, I use something called Best Glue Ever. It has worked well for me so far. I like it because it can be used to make glue dots, or glue strips when put on waxy paper and dried.

  5. I use the ATG gun when I’m preparing cards for a large swap; I use the Tombow liquid glue (green/white bottle) a lot as well. Lately, I’ve been trying other tape runners for the smaller size but haven’t found one that I really love – maybe the Tombow Stamp Runner Adhesive will be the one!

  6. Here in Denmark we have something called “3L” I don’t know if that is international – but I use adhesive from them.

  7. Double-sided tape and glossy accents are my go-to’s seeing that I don’t have access to a large variety of products.

  8. I love the tombow pink adhesive runner for card making. When I can’t easily get refills for that I like the scotch brand runner(a dark blu one) however when I scrapbook I do like using the scotch ATG adhesive runner bc it’s easier to lay down more adhesive when layering larger papers.

  9. I haven’t seen the pink tombow runner. I tried a to bow runner from Michaels but found some of my embellishments came off. I recently started using the 3L EZ runner. It’s big but has small tip that can lay down a few thin strips or long rows easily. It’s very strong but definetly not repositional. The refil cartridges are easy to replace and it comes with 150ft refil for $7.

  10. I have three favorites for different applications. I use the big pink ATG gun most the time but I also love Multi Medium Matt and Tombo Mono Multi glue.

  11. I use Cosmic Shimmer glue, multi medium matte and glossy accents for embellishments depending on what I am doing. I also use double sided sticky tape for adding craft foam when matting and layering :). Thanks again for the great video Jennifer, I say it everytime, but I love to listen and learn from you.

  12. Being new to this group and craft, I usually reach for what Jennifer would recommend. However, when trying a project on my own, lol, the ATG gun is usually my first choice, always keeping along side my 1/4 or 1/8 double side stripe rolls, my tombow and of course the finishing touch of the dots to bring out that special art piece, so it pops!

    Happy Holidays to all!

Thank you for helping me to craft. God Bless!

  13. I have an assortment but I probably use my ATG the most, followed by Towbow mono multi and Rangers Multi Medium. Thanks for the opportunity…. love this series!

  14. Adhesive depends on the project. I love the Ranger Multi-Medium Matte. I also use a Xyron for smaller pieces and the Glue Glider Pro (I love the push/pull ability). For still other projects, I use a wet glue pen. However, I am going to try the Tombow Stamp Runner.
    Thank you, Jennifer!

  15. i love double sided tape & stamp runner adhesives – they stick on practically everything. ive been meaning to give the stick it adhesive a try – they seem to make life a lot easier with die cuts

  16. Thanks for sharing with us ! I use Zots and 3M double-sided photo splits the most. I just got some double-sided foam tape and sometimes use just plain old double-sided tape or glue sticks.

  17. Was using small Tombow’s dispensers but now that I make more cards I looked at your videos to see which one to invest in.

  18. I use several adhesives. For a wet adhesive, I like the Scotch Quick Dry. I also use my ATG Scotch Gun and my absolute favorite for heavy duty is Scor-Tape. I use a lot of Scor-Tape when making mini-albums.

  19. I use a tape runner by Ad Tech. It’s basically the only one besides Tombow extreme that I’ve tried but I like it for anything that doesn’t need the extra strong stuff 😀

  20. I am old school and I currently use Aleene’s tacky glue. I really enjoyed the video and I would like to try some of the products you featured. Thank you so much for all of your videos, they are very helpful.

  21. I love the tombow stamp runner. It is very forgiving when you change your mind about where you want to place something.

  22. I use Beacon Zip dry for the wiggle room. I did not know about the Tombow Stamp Runner and it looks like it’s on my list of things to buy from your awesome “Favorites” videos. Thank you so much!
