  5. My favorite background technique is using an embossing folder to add texture. unfortunately I haven’t explored many background techniques beyond that. Thank you for offering three people an opportunity to learn more background techniques!

  6. The latest way I am doing backgrounds is 2nd and 3rd generation stamping as a lighter version of the image I am going to use as my main focal point on the card. Tone on tone is my favorite!

  7. I love the look of embossing on cards. That touch is so elegant and adds such a great texture to the project. I also like the large background stamps for texture that is actually “flat” and not bulky. Thank you for the chance to win a free class…that is awesome!

  8. Plaid backgrounds are my favorites, only I need to work more on my technique! I have two sons so plaid works great!

  9. Favorite technique must be Distress ink “smooch” and “pounce”. Love the different effects you can get with that.

  10. My favorite background technique right now is one I learned in SYS2, from OCC, to use Distress Inks on your craft mat to create a sort of makeshift ink pad, & stamp your image into that before adding water & pressing it to the paper. Beautiful watercolor background results!

  11. I think one of my favorite background techniques is to use a stencil with paste of some sort. I don’t use this very often but think it looks really nice. Thanks for the chance to win! 🙂

  12. I love a water colored background using various types of water color, ie., pencils, distress markers, water color paint, etc.
