Holiday Cutie

Hello!

Just popping in to share a quick card I did with Lawn Fawn and Memory Box products. That little fox? He is a cutie…

So that little fox doesn’t come all dressed up for winter. I just drew my own simple hat and scarf and added it to him. This is a great way to stretch your non-holiday critter stamps to a holiday card. I just LOVE that little guy! Oh, and of course I added Black Enamel Accents for the eyes and nose.

The background? Well I did that with the very cool Memory Box Swirling Snowflakes Die. Instead of cutting with the die, I sandwiched my paper between the die and a Tan Embossing Mat and ran it through my die cut machine as if I was doing an embossing folder. This results in the die leaving a cool impression on the paper instead of cutting it. Embossing folders cannot achieve impressions of such detail! (You can do this with any die cut machine! To see this technique in action, check the video HERE.)

I also stamped the notecard with one of my favorite backgrounds – the Impression Obsession Thin Stripes.

Come on… isn’t that fox the cutest??!!
