Video: Tim Holtz Holiday Card Kit + Giveaway!

Hello!

Today I have a video for you showing how I create a starry night sky. I used lots of products from the new 2013 Tim Holtz Holiday Card Kit.

(Please forgive the background noise. Lila was playing nearby. I love a bit of independent play!)

Distress Inks react in such a cool way with water. So by creating a Distress Ink background and flicking a bit of Perfect Pearls + water over it? Awesome. The perfect starry sky. The stamps and most of the inks and such are all part of the Tim Holtz Holiday Card Kit.

Here is another card I created with the kit. Totally different look…

I wish this card photographed better. I use Verdigris Embossing Powder to emboss the holiday image on a Tim Holtz Mirror Sheet. Love this product! (And it is in the kit.) It is the perfect mirror – and it can be die cut.

For the background, I stamped the stars from the kit with Distress Ink and then brushed Perfect Pearls over them. (Just mist them lightly with water and then there is no need to set them.) I also added Tim Holtz Stars for embellishments.

So most of the products I used for this card are from the Tim Holtz Holiday Card Kit available at Simon Says Stamp. I used the clear stamp version, but the kit is also available with cling stamps.

Here is a look at the kit. It is packed full – more than most kits…

Which would you pick – the cling or clear kit?
