Favorite New 2012 Hero Arts Stamps + Discount Code + Giveaway!

Hello, stampers! I am back to share with you some of my favorites of the new 2012 Hero Arts stamps. Just click on the photo to head over to Simon Says Stamp. And when you check out, use the discount code of hero12 for 12% off the new goodies – a code exclusive to my blog readers. (Thanks, Heidi!)

(By the way – it was REALLY hard to pick my faves! I have a lot here but wanted to be sure to highlight a good mix – something for every style.)

OK… here it is… my absolute favorite stamp in the new catalog. The Leaf and Floral Background is so very elegant, with the look of text running through the pattern. Awesomely awesome. You can see that Tim Holtz used it HERE and I used it HERE. Love love love LOVE love…

This Greetings set is a fun one. A great feminine stamp and a great could-be masculine stamp together in one set. Perfection. Stamp it twice, cut out the main image, color it and pop dot it on the background. That butterfly stamp will get a work-out at my house…

And there are new Hero Arts and Sizzix products. My favorite stamp + die cut combo is the Bold Flowers set. (You can see a video I did with them HERE.) You will see me using this set a lot…

Hello, my name is Ms. Fun-T0-Color-With-Copics Daisy stamp. You must have me…

This Dot Flower Pattern background stamp is such fun and unique. It intentionally stamps just a bit short of a full card size, making it look like you have a mat around the stamped image. It is easy to stamp thanks to being able to line up the trim of the stamp. Lovely and great with Shadow Inks…

“Hugs.” If you know me well, you know I say it all the time. So this XO set? A must have. Great for encouraging and happy cards for kids and friends…

Ok… imagine this: This Newspaper Tulip background white heat embossed on watercolor paper… covered with Distress Ink… sprayed with pearlized water to blend and shine. LOVELY…

Sometimes a stamp comes along that needs very little else added to it to make the perfect card. The new BasicGrey/Hero Tapestrey Script Background is just this. So elegant…

One of the toughest cards to make is a sympathy card, or a card to encourage someone during tough times. This new Remember set will be a huge help. Classy greetings worded just right. Love it. Adore the message “wishing you brighter days…”

Ummm… HELLO! This silly looking owl called appropriately called “Big Eyes” is too fabulously unique to not love. Such character! In. Love. With. Him. You will be seeing some great cards created with him…

Yesterday I shared a video using the Border Messages. What an incredible set. Great for masculine cards, too…

It’s always good to have a good masculine stamp. This Watch Gears stamp could be such fun to play with…

If you have been on my blog few the past few years you know I am a big supporter of Operation Write Home – an organization that collects handmade cards for soldiers to send home to their loved ones. Well Hero Arts teamed up with OWH to create stamp sets! There are three and this Year Round Sentiments is my favorite. It is great for making OWH… and other cards throughout the year. Oh! And Hero Arts is donating 25% off the profits to OWH! Awesome…

This Newspaper Background will be getting a lot of use around here. So verstile…

The Good Friends set is a fabulous all-around greeting set. Lots of good messages here…

I think the Zig Zag background stamp speaks for itself. So fun…

Yesterday you saw me use this Truly Grateful set. This set has such a classy feel – perfect for any thank you note. Those messages would look amazing embossed in silver… yummm…

Attention all scrapbookers! This Ampersand stamp and the You & Me clear sets are must-haves. I will be using them on cards, too. Nice and big images…

Every once and awhile it is good to get a basic greeting set. A set that has a universal font – one that can be used with many styles of cards. This new Say It All set fits the bill. I can see it on vintage cards, masculine cards, elegant cards and more…

And remember to get the 2012 catalog. Lots of ideas in there and a great reference for the year…

Something to keep in mind… You will see some other new stamps and inks over at there that are pre-order only. This is because we release the rest of our catalog in late December. But you can go ahead and order them now with the discount and they will ship when they are ready. (Simon is one of the first stores to get stamps – they are on the ball!) So here are some of my favorite pre-order goodies…

This Untitled Love and Untitled Word sets could be fun for simple-yet-stunning cards. I had fun embossing these images with white and coloring in the open space with markers…

Earlier this year, Hero added the line of Pool papers and embellishments to their Hero Hues collection. You can now get more Pool goodness – just click on the photo for more info…

And I am so excited about the new inks in the 2012 catalog! First up, we have the Splash Chalk Ink. This is like our other chalk inks but in the great pool-color I just mentioned. Yum yum yum…

Hero also has come out with new Mid-Tone Shadow Inks. These are very similar to our current Shadow Inks but in a bit darker mid-tone shade. This is a unique dye ink that absorbs in the paper and dries nice and smooth. They are perfect for stamping images with lots of solid space (drying with no splotchiness), tone-on-tone backgrounds and techniques such as faux letterpress. I love these inks. (By the way, my friend Shari created them all. She is brilliant with color!) Although I like them all, my favorites are the Cup O’ Joe, Pool and Wet Cement (oh my so awesome). Better yet, just take my advice and buy the whole bundle at a discounted price HERE. 🙂

And remember to head over to Simon Says Stamp to get your new stamps. Thank you to Heidi of SSS for giving my readers an exclusive discount code (“hero12”) for 12% off! (This code is good until Wednesday 12/14 at midnight EST.) Happy shopping!

If you are looking for some stores to head into to actually see all the stamps in person, you can find a list of stores HERE. And here is a list of stores I know and love… Stamper’s Corner in CA, Scrapbook Territory in CA, Absolutely Everything in MA, Angela’s Happy Stamper in VA, Scrapbook Centrale in Canada, Stamp Your Art Out in OH, Simply Scrapbooks in OH, Buffalo Stamps in NY and Archivers everywhere.

And to celebrate the new Hero Arts stamps, I decided to give away a $50 gift certificate to Simon Says Stamp. Just think of all the good stamps you could get with it! Just leave a comment here by Monday night telling me your favorite new stamp and I will pick a lucky winner.

Good luck!
