What a great series of DVDs…

My favorite crafty tip–set aside time to die cut your labels in white cardstock and then store them in a container. That way, when you need a label, you save time and have it already cut out and you can ink it whatever color you want and stamp whatever sentiment you need.

What a great idea! Thanks for the chance to win these great books!

  3. Remember, when misting items like chipboard shapes, you are getting a 2 for one! You get a misted shape and the masked background! So choose a nice paper/item to lay down to protect your surface wisely and you will get a great masked background!

These sound awesome! I want one!!!

  5. Thanks for the chance to win your awesome DVD. I LOVE the videos you post so I am sure the DVD’s are awesome!
My tip is I make all of my cards on white cardstock. I get it cut at Kinko’s. I make both note cards and greeting cards, 5×7, and have both sizes pre-cut. It gives a clean, white space to write messages and the bonus it you get twice as many cards from the same amount of colored or print, more expensive, paper!
    Thank you so much, Jennifer

Is it redundant to say that I would love to win your DVD’s. Well it is and of course I would. I love Hero Arts and their stamps and I love watching you. I use their stamps with my Copics. I love them and have enjoyed your videos demonstrating them.
My tip is: I keep track of all my embellies in large notebooks with heavy duty page protectors. I use one of those heat sealers that closes bags of chips to fit the size of the embellie and that way they don’t slide all over the place.

My tip is to diecut multiples at one time. If you need some flowers – cut 2 or 3 for every one you need. This will save you time in the future. Also – cut a lot of flowers and dies in white – so you can ink them or paint them to match your layouts.

OMG! is great to have all videos collected in one dvd… I can picture myself..play-pause-replay! LOL I’m looking forward for both dvd’s

Love your work, and I imagine these DVD’s are next best thing to having you come visit and stamp at my house 🙂 My crafty tip tonight involves recycling the photo cards I got for Christmas from friends and family. I hate to throw them away and so this year I was determined to do something special with them. I had contemplated a scrapbook spread, but it didn’t grab me. I waited for my creativity to kick in and it finally hit me – a garland for the tree. I will add to it each year. I started working on them yesterday – and I LOVE IT. So bright and colorful, and a great memory of the year past. I trimmed all the pics, printed names on vellum, and then laminated them and punched holes. String them together with jump rings. LOVE IT!

I’m sure these DVDs are fabulous Jennifer! My tip is using pop-dots on a card instantly adds another level of interest and makes your card look so much better!

  11. Rosana says:

its a shame us Aussies cant participate due to postage….but i will definetly try and order them when i can…always LUV your work 🙂

How awesome it would be to win this!!! They look great.

Leave a tip- every tip I have I got from you. One of my favorites is to put a dot of velcro under all my distress pads and stick the foam applicator that goes with that pad onto the dot. It makes it very easy to grab the foam and the pad and do it all at once. Of course I can’t stack my pads without them falling over- but that’s okay. It’s a mess anyway. Thanks for all you do.

  14. Laura says:

Thanks for yet another chance to win. My tip – always make two when making cards – that way you can keep one for in your idea box in case you ever need a quick idea for a card in which you have all the supplies on hand!

TIP: I use the bulletin board in my craft room for inspiration. I post pictures and sayings and other things I run across that I think will inspire me. I also have photos of things that I love on my bulletin board – my husband, the cats, our yard – these photos help to create a peaceful space for me to create in.

  16. Nicole R. says:

The DVDs look great, thanks for all your hard work. Hope I win!

  17. Carol Perry says:

My crafty tip, place open shelving above your work station and place all your Hero Art Background stamps on them. When you go to make a card, your beautiful background stamps are in reach and help with the clutter at your work station. Thanks for the opportunity to win one of these great DVDs. I am sure I won’t be disappointed with your name on them.

Hi…I would love these! they were sold out when I could buy them and now I have to wait. I usually look to you for the tips, but I recently came upon another some might find helpful. I had to rush to the hospital last week( my FIL has been in since Christmas day) and was in my scrap room when that call came. Fortunately I was dressed, so just needed to add shoes and a coat. I once (well more than once) wore slippers to work so I try not to stay in my jammies all day anymore after that.. so off to the hospital I go. My MominLaw looks at me funny as soon as I get there and I am immediately worried something is very wrong with my FIL. But, no, they just needed to do some signature things. What my MIL saw however was my black eye. Yes, a very black under eye as I had itched my face while using my lovely black archival ink. So, my tip..soap doesn’t get it off. Lotion doesn’t either. but.. my stamp cleaner did! DUH! not a trace! so I may resort to carrying that in my purse from now on, as I was afraid to use the scrubbie on my face!

  19. SuZeQ says:

Line your work table with butcher paper (free from your butcher!) and then use the Non-Stick Craft Mat from Ranger on top of it. You’ll never be sorry you took my tip!

  20. Cheryl L. says:

My tip is this: If you work in an office, go dumpster diving! Seriously, when files are cleaned out and tossed, grab those glossy brochure folders to cut up into ATC’s or backgrounds. If there are cool insert photos or backgrounds – grab those, too. I regularly use my “finds” in my paper art hobby…and it’s all free!

  21. THANKS SO MUCH for the chance to win! These DVD’s look AMAZING!!!!

My tip is that I have been staring to use the empty cereal and waffle boxes to punch out shapes out and then covering them w/decorative or plain paper….it’s a way to recycle.

  22. Kimberley Jackson-Brown says:

Thanks so much for a chance to win one of these DVDs. They look and sound amazing!

One of my crafty tips would be to use cereal boxes to punch out shapes and then cover them with plain or decorative paper. This works just as good as chipboard but it cheaper and a great way to recycle.

  23. Barb :) says:

Wow, what a great giveaway! Thank you for the chance to win one of your videos, Jennifer. My crafty tip? If you want a really smooth, thick embossed image, use ColorBox chalk ink. It embosses beautifully!

  24. Diane M says:

Oh I can’t wait to see these. Going to a card class this weekend that will be showcasing the new hero arts stamps..I can’t wait. Before I get crafty I usually watch one of your videos for inspiration. A crafty tip — go for it ! Don’t let fear slow you down.

  25. Beverly S. says:

If you run out of pop dots or just want a different look for added dimension…try punching five or six of the same shape and adhering to each other. I use this method alot with circles or squares and called it my “faux coaster” method. 🙂

Congrats on the DVDs….they look very interesting. 🙂 Would love to “win” one. 🙂

  26. Linda says:

Thanks for the chance to win! My tip is: Don’t wait ’til all your chores are done so you can stamp. Set aside time and just do it. The chores will get done later!

  27. Fran says:

Wow! I wouldlove a chance to win one of these video. Since I live so far north I will never be able to attend one of your class.
    Good luck to everybody

  28. Janet L. says:

My tip is to use a Quilting ruler for paper crafts. I really like the 6″ x 12″ best. It’s great when you need to line things up.

  29. wwilloww says:

Thanks for the chance to win one of your new DVDs!!! As for my tip, I have a die to make matchboxes and I use them to store my foam pads for embossing inks. I dab the color on the end and put a color label on also. I store them on end in a shoebox. Works well for me!!! Thanks again!

  30. Rita says:

Thank you so much for the opportunity to win one of your great DVDs! Here are two crafting tips: When I accidently get a bit of stray glue on my project, I eliminate the stickiness by using a tiny brush to apply just a thin film of bath powder over the unwanted glue. Works like a charm! When I want to ink up only a portion of a stamp, I cover the unwanted area of the image with a piece of masking tape. After I’ve inked up the stamp, I remove the masking tape and stamp.

  31. MariClaudi says:

I have taught myself that it is ok to make more than 1 of the same card. I always try to make more than 1 card with the same design. I have been able to grab a card in a pinch.

  32. Jo-Anne says:

I love watching stamping videos! Such a great jumping off spot to start creating!
My craft tip is … sometimes I’m just in a mood to use my Cuttlebug so I die cut a large number of assorted tags of various colours, textures and shapes. Then I bag them together. So when I am making a card I have an assortment of tags already done and I can just stamp and go!

  33. BeuryS says:

Wow, what a great giveway, would love to win one! My tip is for cataloging stamps, I take the acetate the black image is on and scan it, then print out and put in sheet protectors and store in binder, so much easier to see what you have!

  34. I can’t wait to see these videos. You are such an inspiration. My crafting tip is that I bought a very little plastic box with dividers that you can rearrange. I keep daubers in it for my distress inks, with each slot numbered to correspond with numbers I placed on my ink pad boxes. Perhaps a bit crazy, but I love it and it works for my 22 daubers.

  35. Jennifer your new videos look amazing!

My crafty tip – if you make a mistake on a card, don’t give up or through it away. By correcting or hiding the mistake, you need to think “outside the box” and you will find that the “correction” will usually enhance the card. People will notice it (in a good way…) and you don’t have to say it’s hiding a mistake….

Thanks for a chance to win Jennifer!

    Louise C.

  36. Wow, thanks for the chance to win!! My crafty tip is to always clean up your craft area when you are done. It makes it easier the next time your in the mood to craft, your area is ready.

  37. Sandy G says:

I believe the DVD series will be a real winner as like many others I love your method of instruction but have no way of attending any of your classes. So what a treat these DVDs will be. Thank you for taking the time to put them together.

  38. Kimberli Sarsfield says:

My crafty tip: I store my PTI dies and Spellbinder dies (thanks to a tip from Gayatri) in a 4 x 6 photo album with magnetic tape strip on cardstock. It makes these dies so easy to find and I color code them to make it even easier.

  39. Angel says:

I know this is going to sound…..kinda kiss-up? Or something. Anyway, my tip is don’t waste effort and money on inferior stamps. Just bite the bullet and buy quality. Starting with Hero Arts. Seriously.

    Thanks for the chance, Jennifer!

  40. Barbara T says:

I cant remember where I first heard about this. My tip is if you want even spaced large circles on a car or layout- punch them out first with scrap paper, place the punched circles on your layout with removable adhesive , once you have the right placement. punch over the scrap circles

  41. Jeannie Lim says:

I would love to attend your classes but it’s too faraway. Love to get my hands on the DVD though. Thanks for the giveaway…

  42. Monica Blitger says:

    Hello from Spain.
Thank you for another great opportunity to win great products. I just love your ideas and reading your blog is such a pleasure. You have always such a positive attitude.
As you can imagine it would be hard ( read = impossible) to me to join in one of your classes… sigh.. I would LOVE to !!!! Here in Spain I did´nt yet meet other persons sharing my interest in cardmaking / scrapbooking / quilting ! So winning the color video would be a blessing to me… Or I will have to put it on my wishlist…LOL,
My small tip is that often it can be a great idea to put a piece of double adhesive ( cut from a sheet ) together with a die when you are going to cut out something. This way the cut-out is already prepared to mount where you want it. Of course this is no idea is you plan to use pop up dots to add dimension.
Another small tip : I often make my embellishment flowers myself. You can easily make them from ribbon of all sorts. It will take you less than 10 minutes to make a flower which mathces your project perfectly. The center is often made from a brad. Some of them I make myself by using the ordinary brads meant for shipping envelopes and cover it with glue and glitter or flock.Or a button would also make a nice center.
I hope I can be one of the lucky ones to win… Would love new inspiration from such a clever artist..
    Happy crafting.. Monica

I’m a visual learner and would get so much use out of one of those DVD’s. Thank you for the chance to win one.
    Warmly,
    Mary Ann

  44. Julie says:

Would love to win these awesome DVDs! My latest crafty tip is to keep colored pencils and images I’ve stamped on cardstock next to the couch. I keep the images on a clipboard and color them when I watch TV. It’s relaxing and i have all kinds of images to use in my card projects.

  45. Sheila H says:

My tip is that I use a wooden clothespin to hold a card that I’m heat embossing. That way the paper doesn’t get too hot for me to hold and it’s easy to move the paper around, back and forth, etc.

  46. Karen Knegten says:

    Jennifer,
I love watching your videos, so it would be so cool to win. My favorite tip is for when you are threading twine or embroidery floss through really tiny buttons. Once you start using one, you’ll be amazed how handy they are for many threading jobs. I use dental floss threaders. They are flexible, have a large eye and usable for a long time. I prefer GUM brand. I think I thought of this since I was a dental assistant for 20+ years-LOL. Ask your dentist or hygienist for a sample pack- they love to share them.

  47. Amy says:

Great giveaway! My craft tip would be when making one card why not make a few more all the same – you have all the supplies and tools out and that way you always have some cards on hand.

  48. Bonnie says:

Really love your videos. I watched the 2 Peas lessons several times each. Thanks for chance to win one of the DVDs.

  49. Tami says:

hmmmm, a crafty tip . . . how about a tip for people who like the look of paper piecing but find it difficult to work with those itty bitty pieces. I love, love, love to use the Quick Kutz Quick Stik which has a semi-sticky end to pick up and place down small pieces of paper and a bladelike end which helps you to move it into just the right position. 🙂

  50. Katrina H. says:

Hmmmm…..the only somewhat crafty tip I can think of right now is to clean up your workspace after you finish a project. I’m just sitting here looking at my mess of a table and wishing I would learn to do that! Thanks for the chance to win!
