Product & Card Close-Up: Concord & 9th
Hi, there! When I started playing with the newest Concord & 9th release, I knew I had to share it all in a video. Such an innovative bunch of products! And I have lots of examples to prove it.

By sharing a closer look at the products in this new Concord & 9th release (and card ideas!), I am hoping you feel inspired! In the video I show the products and a few ideas for each.
Most of my examples use the new Concord & 9th Dahlia Turnabout Stamp (C&9 | SSS). I just can’t get enough of it! You can stamp this image four times – each in a different color. Just rotate in between!
These cards feature sentiments from the Concord & 9th Beautiful Branches Stamps (C&9 | SSS) and a stitched square from Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Squares Dies. (All of my square cards are 5.5″ x 5.5″ and I use 6×6 White Square Envelopes.)
Also using the Concord & 9th Dahlia Turnabout Stamp (C&9 | SSS), I created a wreath by masking with a circle at the center. I added metallic red Nuvo Drops and a gold heat embossed sentiment from the Concord & 9th Magnolia Wreath Stamp Set (C&9 | SSS | EH).
You can also use the Concord & 9th Dahlia Turnabout Stamp (C&9 | SSS) along with the Dahlia Turnabout Die (C&9 | SSS). This is a fun way to create a peek-a-boo image. This first example shows three stamped rotations… and then the last set of petals were cut with the die. I added stacked “thanks” die cuts from the Concord & 9th Many Thanks Dies (C&9 | SSS | EH)… covered with Tonic Crystal Glaze.
Here is another, but with a “hello” sentiment from the Concord & 9th Dahlia Turnabout Stamp Set (C&9 | SSS).
You can also use the Dahlia Turnabout Die (C&9 | SSS) to emboss a set of petals… and all you need is a Spellbinder Embossing Mat. The “celebrate” is from Concord & 9th All About You Dies (C&9 | SSS | EH).
To make a word die cut stand out against a busy background, I highly recommend stacking 3-4 die cuts and covering it with Tonic Crystal Glaze. It gives it dimension and shine.
Once you set up the Concord & 9th Dahlia Turnabout Stamp (C&9 | SSS), it is very easy and fast to use… so I decided to make several more! These next few feature colored cardstock with various subtle inks on top. This first one shows Hero Arts Unicorn White Ink (SSS | EH), VersaMark Ink (SSS | EH), Hero Arts White Satin Pearl Embossing Powder (SSS | EH), and Delicata White Shimmer Ink (SSS | EH).
You can use these white and tone-on-tone inks on any color of cardstock. A great way to use up scraps.
This next card features Hero Arts Unicorn White Ink (SSS | EH), VersaMark Ink (SSS | EH), Hero Arts White Satin Pearl Embossing Powder (SSS | EH), and Delicata Golden Glitz Ink (SSS | EH). “Hi there” is from the Concord & 9th Hi There Bear Stamps (C&9 | SSS), and the “sunshine” is from the Concord & 9th Dahlia Turnabout Stamp Set (C&9 | SSS).
You can also use the Concord & 9th Dahlia Turnabout Stamp (C&9 | SSS) off-center on cards.
I am really liking the shine of both Hero Arts White Satin Pearl Embossing Powder (SSS | EH), and Delicata White Shimmer Ink (SSS | EH).
My next card shows stamp images from two other new Concord & 9th stamp sets – the Bits and Pieces (C&9 | SSS) and Beautiful Branches (C&9 | SSS). I stamped all of the images with various Delicata inks… a pigment ink that gives a bit of shimmer. (I am really liking the Delicata Rose Gold Ink!) The die cut “hugs” is from the Concord & 9th Cuddles and Hugs Dies (C&9 | SSS | EH) and the “miss you” is from the Concord & 9th Hi There Bear Stamp Set (C&9 | SSS).
The Concord & 9th Bits and Pieces Stamp Set (C&9 | SSS) is so much to use to create backgrounds in any colors you want!
And last but not least… I created this happy card using the oh-so-cute Concord & 9th Hi There Bear Stamp Set (C&9 | SSS). This bear can be stamped so many different ways! I just went for quick and simple. For a bit of pink on his cheeks and ears, I used a Fantastix Inking Tool to apply Delicata Pink Shimmer Ink. Oh – and I used lots of Lucys Cards Rainbow Jewels!
This bear is so quick to stamp. I think I may make several of these bears but with a holiday theme. Perfect for teacher cards!
I hope these examples and a close look at this new release is helpful to you!
