Fresh and fabulous friday…

Hi there!

Loving this Friday.  Why?  Because we got our first pick up of veggies from our CSA.  And tomorrow is the first of our small town's farmer markets!  Lots of fresh goodness that tastes a million times better from then the grocery's yuck. AND!  The girls summer here starts Sunday.  This, my friends, is my favorite day of the whole year. 🙂

A few people mentioned being new here and wanting to know more about the card drive.  You can find it HERE.

So… to go along with this fresh and fabulous Friday, I thought I would share some bright, cheery cards.  These are from Hero Arts Idea Friday. (Click HERE to see more.)

Who would like to join me for a couple of these drinks?  Yum…

And, of course, a bit of Glossy Accents to make the drinks shine.  I even made little bubbles in it…

The card above comes from THIS set.  Isn't it fun?  I LOVE what Lucy did with it HERE

Next, some flowers that scream summer…

When I am stuck on possible color combos, I grab a striped patterned paper and let it lead the way…

So, I think that is enough BRIGHT stuff for today.  Maybe I should have warned you to put on your sunglasses.  Hee.  Hope you have a good weekend.  I am so excited!

Night.

  1. Great summery cards ready to greet everyone at this wonderful time of year! Love all your bright colors which really make me smile. Have fun with your girls and Colin. We just returned from 17 days in France where the flowers were stunning! Guess that was one reason why I took over 1500 pictures on this trip. Thanks for the summer cheer!

  2. Wow love the cards so bright just right for summer. I love the stamps, I wish we had a store close by with Hero stamps, closest one is over an hour away by then I seem to forget what I need or want LOL. Thanks for tempting me and I will have to write these stamps down for the next trip.

  3. Those drinks look very refreshing! Nothing like fresh veggies–my garden is keeping me fully stocked with squash, beans, tomatoes and peppers. Cucumbers will be ready in a couple of days.

  4. Really LOVE all these cards! I find myself being drawn to fruit embellishments so when I saw these new Hero Arts stamps I knew I just had to have them. I love how you paper pieced them with the BoBunny papers! Thanks for the summer inspiration! 🙂

  7. Summer is coming and I loved your bright colors and cute, cute ideas. I’m relieved to hear you get stuck for color combinations sometimes and will remember your tip!!!!

  8. Very very cute cards. At first I didn’t think I liked the “let’s chill” set, but it is growing on me SOOO quickly! Between the cute little drinks and Lucy’s great cards, I think I NEED this set! I too would like to see your teacher cards that you made – you inspired me last year & that is what my sons’ teachers got this year.

  9. What a great idea – thanks for the “striped paper leading the way” tip, I often get stuck with putting my colors together.

  10. Summer drinks are the best…. the colors are so vivid and bright…. makes me think of several good drinks for a hot summer day. Oh… and don’t forget the umbrella.!

  11. You know what I think I love most about your cards? Your use of pearls!! Love these cards. Thanks for sharing!
