OK so ready for MY Mother’s Day plans? I have the BEST plans of EVERYONE! For Mother’s Day…………I have NO plans!!! YAHOOOO!!!! Let me explain why I am so thrilled now! On April 1st, no fool now, my 17 year old son had a 5 1/2 hour surgery to reconstruct the right side of his face after he was injured in a basketball game! Yes, I said a Basketball game! He is 6 foot 8 and is being recruited by several division one colleges. While playing at one of them he broke EVERY bone on the right side of his face, in fact the only thing to remain intact was the muscle that held his eye in place. He fractured his cheekbone in three places, his orbital floor, eye socket and sinus cavity. (He was head butted by another kid while playing shoving his cheekbone through his eye socket and into his sinus cavity) WE ARE SOOOOO VERY LUCKY, here we are a month later after surgery to place titanium plates into his face, weekly surgeon appointments, XRAYS, Eye Doctor appointments, and most recently an appointment to make him a face mask so he can play again….he is FINE! So I HAVE THE BEST GIFT OF ALL, MY SON IS FINE and we are doing NOTHING TOGETHER for mother’s day!!! 🙂 Christine

Hi Jennifer! I work in a floral department, inside a grocery store, and Mother’s day is one of the busiest of the year! So needless to say, I’ll be working most of the day. Then I will head to my sister’s house to celebrate with my mom and my whole family! (about 27 of us!) I always look so forward to being with everyone! We have such fun together with lots of laughs!! Thank you for the chance to win the wonderful embossing folders! Love using them in my Cuttlebug, but do not have these sets. 🙂

Wishing you a very happy Mom’s Day! After church, the hubs, little jeter (who’s 23)and I will visit my MIL, then we will visit my sister and her family (brand new grandbaby for her) then my son and his wife are taking us to dinner at Roman Cucina. I’m so looking forward to a great day to visit with my loved ones.

We’re planning to go out for lunch with my in-laws, whom I love dearly. And probably do some more landscaping. Not something I love doing, but I DO love the end results!

  16. Anna Moreno says:

Happy Mother’s day to you!!! I am going to see my son place his heart out at his Saturday baseball game and then on Sunday it’s “me time” to scrap minibook gifts for teachers, secretaries, prinicipals and a friend’s birthday! I love this time for me to release my creative energy, “my therapy”, the best present I could get. I also scrapbooked a single page layout for my mom including pictures of my kids, my sister, her son, and me and my mom. I put it into a shadow box along with some novels and mailed it to my mom who lives 8 hours away. She loved it!!!!!!!!!!!

  17. Tamra B says:

Don’t really have any plans for Mother’s Day. Unfortunately I live 1,000 miles from my mom.

  18. rachel says:

I will hopefully be doing some landscaping (weather permitting)

  19. Immi says:

My husband will present me with a heart-felt card on my breakfast plate Sunday morning. Then he’ll fix waffles. After church, he’ll prepare the meal of my choice, and I’ll take a nap!

  20. Priscilla from California says:

Actually, my Mom lives on the east coast and I’m on the west coast so I won’t be seeing her. Since I’m not a mom myself, Mother’s Day at my house is just another day. Jeez, that sounds really depressing, doesn’t it?

  21. Shawn Wenrich says:

I’m planning a delicious steak dinner at home with my sweet husband and adorable daughter. Then I’ll be in my craft room enjoying crafting of course!

  22. Nora Noll says:

We are taking my mother in law to brunch and then I am spending the day with my husband and daughter. Cannot wait!

  23. I just love the texture folders! Your layout is beautiful, as always. My Mother’s Day will be spent helping our last minute nursery customers pick out plants for their mother! Then after we close my husband will fire up the grill and cook my dinner. I hope your Mother’s Day will be very special for you!

  24. Sunday evening I will be having some “me time” in my “Woman Cave”. After a day of church and doing a dinner for my 81 year old Mother, I will retire into my favorite place and play with my favorite things, paper, ink, stamps and a loving cat sitting at my feet.

  25. Michelle Cline says:

I plan to spend the weekend with my son and my Mom! I’m sure we will eat out Sunday, but no really fabulous plans.

  26. Sandy L says:

I’m hoping to spend a little time with my mom – but little sis always has dibs. If we can’t – we’ll see each other on Monday – for our own little celebration. We will go buy one another spring flowers to plant, and then I will take her to lunch somewhere fabulous! Hope your day is special!

  27. Julie E says:

I have no idea what is in store for me on Sunday!!! It is all a surprise as of right now. I do not even know what my 6 yo DD made for me and she usually can not keep a secret :>)

  28. We’re all meeting at Longhorn Steakhouse as soon as they open so we can beat the crowds and so none of hte moms have to cook or clean.

  29. Linda Feldenkrais says:

I plan to take my Mother to Church and then to breakfast. Then on to my MIL’s.

  31. Michele says:

Believe it or not…we don’t have any plans which is FINE! We typically have baseball or basketball tournaments every single weekend so a weekend without anything to do but play catch-up is a-ok with me! 😀

  32. Allison T. says:

  36. Gorgeous! I am planning to have a dinner for my mom and dad and relax with them and bond. Happy Mother’s Day to you too!

  37. Janet B. says:

Well, my husband and my mom share the same birthday – 5/7. So we are getting together tomorrow to celebrate the birthdays, and since Mother’s Day is Sunday, we are celebrating that too. But, my husband did say that I could buy something for Mother’s Day! Boy, he never should have said that…hmmm, I wonder where I’ll go shopping? CRAFT WAREHOUSE!!!

  40. Kellie Cox says:

Well, I’m spending the day with my kids, my mom, my grandma, my in-laws, the hubs of course, and my new puppy at the park. We’re going to grill, and bring potluck dishes to share. It will be lots of fun. Happy Mother’s Day to us all!

Your easy to follow directions in your video have made me surer of myself while I attempt to recreate your beautiful page. It really grabbed me as simple and elegant. Thank you for sharing your talent with us!

  43. No plans Sunday night, but we’re headed to brunch with my MIL. My own mom passed away a few years ago, so it’s still difficult for me to get into celebrating. It’s for the kids though.

  44. Katrina H. says:

I’m not exactly sure what I’m doing on Sunday other than going to church and then giving my mom a present. I hope you have a great day!

  45. Marianne says:

My husband ordered me the Sizzix for Mother’s Day! Hopefully it will arive on time. I may be playing with that on Mother’s Day! Other than that my 3 kids will be over and he is smoking ribs and boys will be emptying a truckload of mulch for me. Hope your day is exactly what you love the most. Thanks for a chance to win.

  46. Nancy says:

My mom lives too far away to spend the day with! I’ll be spending the day with my Mother-In-Law…and one of my daughters who lives nearby! It will be a fun day! I love my Big Shot and haven’t got any of these folders yet! I’d love to win this one! Thanks for the chance!

  47. Barbara from Aberdeen, Scotland says:

We had our mother’s day back in March – I could not see my Mum on the actual Sunday, so we met up the week before, for lunch – just the two of us & had a walk along the riverside in the spring sunshine. It seemed more special because there weren’t lots of other Mums out with their families!
I kinda copied your idea for a set of notecards for my gift to Mum – she loved them! Thanks for that, Jennifer!

  48. Mary (Happy Now) says:

Happy Mother’s Day to you, too! Not much planned here… Hopefully a fun, quiet day with my boys and my Mom, too! Thanks!
