Stopping in to give a goodie away…

Hey there.

Me?  I am a happy girl right now.  After even more potholes and bumps this morning, I hopped in a car with my dear Jana to head up to my favorite stamping retreat.  Just what I needed.  And soon some more wonderful friends will be here, including Nichol, Ginger, Greta and Vicki.  Good times lie ahead…

But!  I wanted to pop in to give away a fabulous book.  This is by the amazingly adorable and talented Elizabeth Kartchner from Creating Keepsakes.  What I loved about it when I took a peek was how fun, playful and inspiring the pages are.  Isn't that what scrapbooking is all about?

Want a copy?  Just leave a comment here by Saturday 11:59pmEDT telling me your favorite Christmas/Holiday song/cd.  Mine?  Harry Connick Jr… his first holiday album.  There is a song called "I Pray on Christmas" – just love it.  Oh, and Josh Groban.  Wow.

And!  If you want more chances to win this rockin' book, click HERE.  There is a list of other artists giving away copies, too.  You can also see how to buy it there.

Ok… off to make my mom's Christmas cards!

  1. My favorite Christmas carol has to be “O Holy Night”, after all, Isn’t that what Christmas is really about? The birth of Jesus? Iget goose pumps every time I hear it!!!
As for holiday cd’s, I agree with you Jennifer that Josh Groban’s “Noel” album is WOW! I have to say that “I’ll be home for Christmas” with all those solodiers and family members sending messages of love really touch my heart every time I hear it.
A close second for me is the album from Clay Aiken. There is one carol in particular called “Mary did you know”. I just love it!
This season I have a new favorite to add to my list: Andrea Bocelli’s “My Christmas”, every single carol is beyond this world but I have to say that his rendition of “O Holy night” in French (which by the way, I didn’t know that the original version was recorded in French) as well as his rendition of “The Lord’s Prayer” with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir is simply amazing! The Ave Maria is just beautiful, and then there is a collaboration of Bocelli with a group of kids singing “Santa Claus is coming to town” that is simple and wondefully sweet.
Christmas is my favorite time of the year and I go all out with decorations: my tree has my collection of hand blown crystal ornaments that I have been collecting since I was a teenager, and my “Christmas in the City” village from Department 56 that has so many pieces that I am not able to display it in one table!
Happy holidays and many blessings to you and your family!

  13. Hi Jenniefer! Love your work on your site. Well, my favorite Christmas song is the oldie Drummer Boy. It reminds me what Christmas is all about and all the memories of my childhood Christmas’. Both my kids love the movie. I had to hunt it down several years ago (the old version) at a local video store and have it ordered. We watch it every year and listen to the song on Christmas Eve when we are decorating and drinking eggnog I make from scratch. Just love that song. Thanks for the opportunity to win Elizabeth’s book.
