I sure wish I could doodle…

… like Kelli Crowe or Elsie or others.  I LOVE to doodle, but am not great at it.  So when CK asked me to do a page on which I did something I never do, doodling was perfect to try.  Thought I would share it here, although I did it a year or so ago…

As seen on creatingkeepsakes.com.  Large photo by Essenza Studios.  Love their photos.

Today we celebrated Kay's 13th birthday at Benihana.  She is such a good person – thoughtful, sweet and gorgeous.  And tall – she is taller than me. :)  And I love her even more because she is playing with my hair  giving me "prom hair" as we speak.  I love when they play with my hair. Feels so good…

Thanks for the nice comments on my little dude in the video.  He is a fun guy and LOVES stamping so much.  And the girls do, too.  I will have to share some of their creations… they are fabulous.  We spend most of the summer in the basement – it is hard to tear them away.  Makes me so proud.

Oh… quick enabling alert: Hobby Lobby has paper 50% off this week.  Go get some of that kraft goodness! :)  You can see the packaging HERE.

Hope you all had a good weekend.  Night!

  1. That is some seriously fabulous doodlin’ there, miss! That whole left side could be a border stamp and it would sell like hotcakes, I tell ya. πŸ™‚ Ahhh…my girls playing with my hair is one of my favorite things in the whole world! I keep thinking they are going to outgrow it but you have given me hope since Kay is 13. Happy happy birthday to her! πŸ™‚

Your words and photos are so touching on the layout. Doddling I have tried. Just do not have it in me. Yours looks cool, I so love hearts.

One day I will have to give you a scalp massage. It is a real treat for the hair, but never mind that it is so relaxing too.

I woke up at 5:30 this morning to finish all the things I have to do before going to the sale at Hobby Lobby. I will be purchasing paper and a Cuttle Bug if they have it in stock. I am giving in I can not fight it any more. I just love the embossing you have been using in your cards.

    Happy Stamping

  7. Happy Birthday Kay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jennifer, your layout is awesome. I love your doodling! I can normally doodle until I decide I’m going to doodle (Elsie style) on a page and then I have doodle constipation! It then looks like a chicken got a hold of my pen and well, let’s just say it’s not pretty. Maybe it’s a commitment thing!
Well, would love to visit a Hobby Lobby but we don’t have one out here in L.A. But, last week, I did purchase a Cuttlebug finally. Yippee!!

  11. love the layout. Your doodling is fabulous.

quick question – if I have a BigShot can I use the folders from the Cuttlebug – not sure if they are compatible.

  12. Jennifer…that is one beautiful page, not only because of the doodling but because of the beΓ₯utiful words that accompany the picture of that sweet little boy. Thank you for sharing.

Can you tell us which white pen you used for your writing and if it’s the same one on the cardstock and the photo? Also, do you find that it’s easier to doodle on a certain type of cardstock.

    Thanks again for sharing.
