Gotta turn this day around with a giveaway…

Boy.

Bad day.  The hard drive died on my baby.  Boogers.  I love love love my MacBook Pro.  Love it.  But I attract bad luck with stuff like this.  Thankfully, Apple has the best customer service in the world and they are saving me.  Will get the hard drive replaced tomorrow.  Thank goodness!

But since that occupied my day, I didn't get any creating done.  So let's do a giveaway instead. :)  This RAK is for a copy of the Designing With Recipe book…

Just leave a comment here by Friday night at 11:59pmPST telling me what your favorite new scrapbooking goodie is.  I feel like I haven't bought anything new in ages and need to do a bit of online shopping. Nothing is better than retail therapy, huh? 🙂

Oh, and please go backup your computer.  🙂

i’d have to say my favorite new scrapbooking product is my old rolling pin! i know, that may not count, but i haven’t bought anything lately because i’m trying to use up a lot of stuff that’s been hanging around. i ran out of hermadots and i had to resort to my huge pack of gluesticks. To get everything to stick really well i had to roll over it with a rolling pin because i don’t have a brayer. Oh well, i’ve saved a lot of money this month and i’ve been creating really cute stuff with what i have. It would be fun to try some new “recipes”. Especially with my rolling pin. Thanks for the opportunity! -amy

Hey Jennifer – I love my Macbook Pro too 🙂 Mine gets backed up fairly regularly. We have Time Machine which is supposed to back up every hour! But it’s having a little bug with my computer so I’ve turned it off until I some more research.

I’d LOVE a chance at winning the book! LOVE DW books! (and I don’t have this one!)

As for my favourite scrapbooking goodie… I just received a box of yummy stuff from Tarisota Collections. They do kits, and they are yummy!!!!! Here’s a link to their site:
http://www.tarisotacollections.com.au I’m not affiliated – although will be guest designer for June. (does that make me affiliated? Maybe just for June, LOL!!!! I don’t reap any benefits though, that’s what I mean)

My other fav supply would be the new Darkroom Door stuff. Now this stuff I AM affiliated with… and proud of it! 🙂 http://www.darkroomdoor.com
I’m using a lot of the Full Bloom Photochips and Montage sheets to create cards. So quick and simple.

Hope you have a better day tomorrow! 🙂

I’m sorry to hear about your Mac. I love my Mac, too!

My favorite new toy is a Cuttlebug I bought because I was drooling over those embossing folders AND Michael’s (darn those enablers!) ran a 50% off coupon this week. I haven’t gotten to use it yet because this week has been horrendous with my job, but I’m going to hide in my attic and have a go on Saturday morning!

We lost everything when our hard drive crashed last year-pictures, the video of my son’s Mother’s Day program, resumes and so much more. My friends learned a very valuable lesson. We had even backed up on an external hard drive which is where the glitch occured. You can bet I burn a disc first thing now. Hope you can recover everything. Okay, now on to fav new product- I love Stampin up’s star stamping set in their spring catalog. Lots of possiblities. Oh yeah, love the Designing With books and have all of them except Recipes-what are the odds; )

    Jennifer,
Sorry to hear about your hard drive. Mine crashed last month so I know how you feel.

As far as my fave new thing, it might be this hand held contraption by “Around the Block.” On one side of the pen looking thingy, it’s a tea stain ink pad; the other side is a small circle of sand paper.

  27. mary doak says:

  30. Angela says:

Sorry to hear about your computer, mine brings out the worst in me!
So, favourite scrapbooking item of the moment…hhmmmmmm, there are soooooo many…I would have to say that my cuttlebug has been providing lots of inspiration of late, I emboss every scrap of paper can I get my hands on and then ink the surface. My local paper manufacturer gives away sample books of all there papers including vellum, for free. There are strips long enough to cover a standard size card.
I love the look of the recipe book, it’s put together by one of my fave companies.
    Thanks for the blog Jennifer.

My new goodie is thickers, chip board stickers, by American Crafts. I got them in white so I can color them any color I want. They are wonderful! One package gives you 3 of most letters and numbers plus tons of other punctuation type symbols. Very generous for price. This is the first time for me to work with any thing like this. I am having fun, fun, fun!

  36. Marjorie says:

Because of you I’ve tried the Cuttlebug embossing folders. They make such a nice impression. Went on a trip to Florida last week and got to go into a Joannes. Got 3 folders there. 49. sorry ’bout your computer troubles – i’ve had my fair share of them over the years, too. LOVE my hubby for buying me a (refurbished) MacBook for my birthday this year… what a guy! anyway, my FAVORITE FAVORITE, FAVORITE new goodies that arrived at my LSS this past week: Scenic Route LIBERTY line. LOVE the fun blue, red and white/cream color combos. LOTS of stars and stripes. I made a CUTE LO for a store display using a photo of my lil guy (age 10 months) wearing a red shirt and denim overalls…. so it wasn’t even a 4th of July photo! SUPER CUTE AND FUN! and just a HINT of yellow in the line, too.

  50. Sorry about your computer! It is so frustrating when that happens! Hope you can save some stuff….

My favorite new Scrapbooking tools are my Nestabilities. Use them mainly for cards these days, but have all sorts of ideas to use them on my pages.

Would love to win that book! thanks for the chance!
