How-To Video: Inked/Stamped Chipboard on Clear Tag Card

Hey!

Have a video to share tonight.  This shows a few simple things… enjoy.

052508 Colin holding
Supplies:
Hero Arts stamps, clear tag, flowers, button & pearls
Colorbox Chalk Ink (Primary, Chocolates & Blueberries and Pumpkin Patch)
Black Memories Ink
Scenic Route chipboard butterfly
White Staz-On Ink
Creative Impressions silk ribbon
Other: string and a fast-moving dude to act as Vanna

Again, the music is from my BIL, Keith.  Some of his older stuff.

I had a couple people ask where on ebay I got my Inking Tools.  HERE is my source.  I usually try to support local stores (we want them to stick around!!), but they were out.

Wanna see a cute card?  Check out an adorable one by Kandis HERE.

Hope you are all doing well.  Those of us in Cincinnati are enjoying the wonderful joy of cicadas.  Yes, my yard is being taken over by these buggers.  Argh!  As Colin says, “Cicadas are EVERYWHERE at Colin’s house!”  Ha.  I will save you the discomfort and not show a picture. 🙂

Night!

  1. Jennifer,
We had the cicadas last year. They were EVERYWHERE and the birds got fat! It was a nuisance for sure. I would have to dash from my car to the store and back and forget about sitting outside to BBQ! They lasted about two-three weeks and then it got better. Cute card and super cute kid!

  2. Love the card, and the pic of Colin is adorable! We’ve been lucky so far this year – most of the cicadas must be on your side of town!

  3. Great card!! And that’s funny cause I have a clear HA tag sitting on my craft table stamped with StazOn, just waiting to be finished! Love how you attach the card to the tag. What a great idea. And I really love the CB butterfly. So pretty.
I live in Chicago and we had the cicadas last year. I don’t have trees in my yard so we were OK but when I drove by the Forest Preserves, I would have to shut my car windows cause they are LOUD!! And thanks for not sharing of pic of them. Yuck!

  4. It really makes my day when I open up your site and find a video waiting there, just for me,lol. As always I love what you have done and boy oh boy is that little guy of yours cute. Love the music too, your bil is one talented guy, love his laid back style.

  15. Jennifer

We found our first Ciacada yesterday. I picked it up so the kids could get a good look at it. I guess you could call it a “brave mommy moment” I live about 30 mins east of you and an hour north of Cincinnati.

I love the card you made it looks amazing. Colin is so sweet holding it for you. You are truly blessed in love and talent.

    Thanks for sharing with us!!!

  16. I just want to take the time to say thank-you Jennifer for posting such great ideas and taking the time to share it with us. I visit your blog everyday as well as the hero arts blog. I really appreciate the videos you make, they make it so much easier to make the project myself. I love the butterfly tag and love that cute pic of Colin. I don’t know what cicadas are? I imagine they are some type of bug..

Colin looks so happy, making the butterfly “fly”! Cutie-Patootie!

  20. What a great tag card — love it ! Do you store your chalk ink queues upside down? I have one and it seems to be drying out.. You seem to get a lot out of it — like covering the entire chipboard. I don’t know if I could do that with mine.

  21. I love your butterfly tag card.
Yes the local scrapbook stores are struggling. The one nearest me is closing her doors. So right now she is selling everything sale priced.

  22. Oh me, what an adorable little boy and I’ll take him for my GS….yes?…and of course the card (as usual) is cute as it can be.

  23. Another beautiful card! Love the colors. I grew up in Illinois, so I know what you mean about those cicadas!
