Here are some color inspiration sources:

THE COLOR CATALOG

Recently I purchased The Color Catalog – both Volume 1 and 2. I find this tool extremely helpful, simple, and inspiring! It is so nice to have *many* color combos available by colors, keywords, or collections. This “book” is fully interactive, so you can find the perfect palette based on a specific color, keyword or collection. You can print this, but I prefer to have it on my computer, ipad, and iphone for quick access when crafting. I highly recommend it – it has been helpful to me! There are two volumes – I purchased both.

COLOR COORDINATES

For a free color resource, you can also check out the Color Coordinates over at the Simon Says Stamp blog. There are lovely combinations… just look through all the blog posts HERE to see the ones they have.

PINTEREST

Pinterest is also a good source for color combinations. I used to use this, but found it overwhelming. However, many people still love it!

Thanks for visiting!

  1. Watched this video in the early hours of this morning, couldn’t sleep. Loved it. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to do this video. Take care of you and your family. Sending hugs and prayers.

  2. Oh wow! These are stunning and I love that stamp set! It works out too expensive with shipping to buy alas!!!! Thanks for all the colour help and for taking the time our of your busy schedule to make this vedieo, it is inspirational!

  3. Spectacular cards, Jennifer – The color blocked backgrounds with black and white scenes are extraordinary. LOVE the. Thank you 🙂

  4. I love the Sunny Greetings one, I think it’s the circle shape that makes it so good. Hope schooling is going well for you and your family!

  5. This is brilliant can’t wait to try. Masking is my favorite technique, so much fun. Thank u for taking the time to make this video, your videos are always a highlight of the day. Blessing

  6. Love the cards! Such a great idea for when I don’t feel like coloring. And I finally managed to pick up one of the collaboration sets before they sold out.

Also, thanks for the tip about The Color Catalog. I am often challenged when picking colors, so this will be a great resource. Another great app for color picking that you might want to check out is Adobe Capture. I love its Colors feature, where, using an image or your camera, it will pick out colors from that image (which you can adjust) and create a gradient or just swatches from the image. You can store your selected palette in a library — basically a DIY Color Catalog using pictures you’ve selected.

  7. Jennifer, these graphic CAS cards are genius. LOVE them all. What a wonderful inspiration.
    Thanks so much for sharing.
Have a relaxing and satisfying weekend,
    Caroline

  8. I LOVE these cards and looks like so much fun!! I love that you can use the same set and just use different color palettes for a completely different look…AWESOME!! YOU are BLESSING!!

  9. That video was fantastic! indeed the stamp set is perfect for all seasons. Thank you so much, Jennifer! Hope the home schooling is going well!

  10. Love these cards. I don’t do much masking, but I’m going to give this a try. By the way, I have a source for color combinations — it’s you! As I take notes during your videos (I don’t have a computer in my craft room and I don’t have an IPhone), I always note the colors you use and try to find comparable colors in my limited stash!

  11. I have always loved a black and white image with a spot of color. You have taken it to a new level. I also love the stamp set but I think I can find something that I already own.. I don’t know though……that set is definitely calling me. Thank you for your inspiration.
