Made In Minutes: Kissing Technique

One of the first techniques I learned when I started stamping is the kissing technique. I thought it would be fun to revisit it today!

The kissing technique is where you ink one stamp and “kiss” it to another before stamping it on paper. This results in fun stamped patterns! You can see this on the leaves on my cards below. Be sure to watch the video for the technique details! Oh, and this was my first Made In Minutes video. It is a bit longer than I planned, but I wanted to throw in a few extra cards.

Here are the cards from my video along with the main products featured. For the full supply, scroll down to the thumbnails at the end of this post.

HURRICANE RELIEF

When the hurricane hit, one of the first friends to contact me saying “what can we do to help!?” was Jen – the owner of Reverse Confetti. Jen did SO much to help during the last horrible hurricane. Very inspiring. For a start, Reverse Confetti will be giving a percentage of sales from their new release to hurricane relief. And I will also give… by donating a percentage of my affiliate sales from this post. We will be doing more in the future, so stayed tuned!

  4. Your cards look wonderful! This technique makes such fun patterns; I need to give this a try. 🙂 Thank you, Reverse Confetti, and all the crafty companies for everything you’re doing to help with hurricane relief!

  5. Thanks for a great video. Your cards are beautiful as always. I am really liking this new stamp set from Reverse Confetti as I love everything tree/leaf related.

  6. Beautiful cards, one and all. Thanks for another fun video with an interesting technique. I also like to kiss the opposite way. Ink up the stamp, stamp onto the background stamp and stamp what is left onto the project. Gives a different look, depending on the stamps you use.

  7. Thanks for the reminder of this oldie but goodie! Love the look, but had forgotten all about it! You really do rock!

  8. Jen, every time I see you have a new video ,I get a rush! You make such beautiful cards and have so much creativity. I get my cup of coffee each morning and look to see if you have anything new to inspire me. Thank you, thank you!!!!!

  9. Love this stamp set collaboration between Reverse Confetti and SSS! I remember this fun technique and I love the beautiful cards you created with it. It looks easier with the help of Misti, but then lots of techniques are! 🙂

  10. Congrats on your ‘Made in Minutes’ video. Even in this short time you taught a technique! Just FYI, I do NOT mind your ‘long’ videos. Very much appreciate you teaching techniques as some of us have limited supplies & this gives us the opportunity to, as you always say, “stretch your supplies”. Thank you for sharing your gift of art & teaching!

  11. What a great technique, this way you have found again a way to stretch the stamps!
It makes the solid stamps a lot interesting on a card.
Thank you so much for showing and have a great week.

  12. Jennifer! I’m loving that you are bringing back some of the “oldie but goodie” techniques! This is one of the first that I learned when I started stamping! LOVE your cards!! You are such inspiration!!

  13. Awesome cards, I always forget about the Kissing technique it does make some great cards and helps stretch them in different ways
